Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

Psalm 139:14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. v15 My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. v16 Your eyes saw my substance being yet unformed. And in Your book they were all written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.  v17 How precious are Your thoughts to me, O God!  How great is the sum of them!

We place a high priority on the teaching and nurturing of the children God has placed in our care. In addition to the 25 children we now have in the Living Water Children's Home, we also have a Children's Funday every other Saturday.  We have been doing this for a couple years now, and we routinely feed 125 or more children.  We also teach them how valuable they are in God's sight, that they are uniquely created and God knows each and every one of them, and has a wonderful plan for their life.  Many of the children are from muslim families in Makunda village, so these words are very new and exciting to them.  We want them to hear the good news of the gospel, while their little hearts are open and not stained and hardened by the harsh life here in Kenya.  With your help we can expand this fun/feeding day to other locations here around Makunda.  We also have plans to build a primary school on the land next to the children's home.  Pray with us that we can purchase one more parcel of land needed, and that we can quickly raise the funds to build the school.  Jesus said, "With the faith of a mustard seed, you can pray and mountains will be moved into the sea."  We invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts as we move the kingdom of God forward here in Kenya and East Africa.  With God nothing is impossible!  May God bless you as you pray!

My Yoke is Easy

Matthew 11:28 "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. v29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly at heart, and you will find rest for your weary souls. v30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

Beloved, one of the signs of the end times is that Christians will be persecuted and be hated by all nations for Jesus name's sake.  I never imagined persecution of Christians would ever take place in America, I found the whole idea a bit incomprehensible.  And yet we see it happening more and more with each passing day.  The invitation by Jesus to come unto Him is especially appropriate now.  People are full of fear, anxiety, and distrust.  Jesus said, "You can trust Me, I will carry your burdens for you."  That is a welcome thought to settle our anxiety.  God's word is settled in heaven.  Faith is simply trusting God, and trusting that the words spoken in the Bible are true.  Are you anxious, weary, and dreading the news each day?  Put your trust in Jesus, you will find rest for your soul. The good news of the gospel is the hope for all mankind, the hope that does not disappoint.  When we share the good news with people here in Africa, they respond.  They also respond when we show them acts of kindness, build them a house, or give them a meal or cup of water in Jesus name.  You can be a part of that with your generous support of this ministry. We have two special needs children in particular who need leg braces, wheel chairs, and instruction at a school for disabled children. Kenya Miracle Election

Job 33:14  For God may speak in one way, or in another, yet man does not perceive it. v15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men, while slumbering on their beds, v16 Then He opens the ears of men and seals their instruction. v17 In order to turn man from his deed, and conceal pride from man, v18 He keeps back his soul from the Pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.

Beloved, Kenya just finished a contentious election cycle with the election of President William Ruto, the first ever evangelical Christian to be elected in this country.  His campaign slogan was "Hustler Nation", and his symbol was the yellow wheelbarrow, signifying the bottom up economic model to lift up the working men and women of Kenya.  We give thanks to God for a very peaceful election, and for this man William Ruto and his wife, Rachel.  In October 2021, the Lord gave me a dream and showed me a man pushing a wheelbarrow, with a large, shiny red tomato in the wheelbarrow.  It was the Grand Prize tomato of the County Fair.  At Living Water Church we also believe in getting our hands dirty for the kingdom.  As you can see in the picture above, we finished a mud house for our church member, Isaac, on the same day as the inauguration of President Ruto.  A great day for Isaac and for the nation of Kenya.  Stand with us as we build the kingdom here in Kenya, with work projects, preaching the gospel, caring for the widows and orphans.  Pray about your part in helping us here in Africa!  May God bless you as you pray!

Building the Wall

Nehemiah 4:16 So it was, from that time on, that half of my servants worked at construction, while the other half held the spears, the shields, the bows, the armor; and the leaders were behind all the house of Judah. v17 Those who built on the wall, and those who carried burdens, loaded themselves so that with one hand they worked at construction, and with the other held a weapon. v18 Every one of the builders had his sword girded at his side as he built.  And the one who sounded the trumpet was beside me. 

Beloved, this picture that Nehemiah painted of the battle he faced when building the wall of Jerusalem is a picture of our daily battle with the demonic realm. The battle for the whole earth and against the spirit of the antichrist is the overarching battle described in God's word.  But the battle we need to be most focused on is the battle you and I are involved in each and every day. The enemy is right in front of us!  We succeed in battle by having a sword (the word of God) in one hand, and the tools for building (cameras, video cameras, platforms, sound systems, plane tickets, etc) in our other hand, prepared to build. Our leaders, the pastors, evangelists, elders, etc., are the ones who blow the trumpet to rally the troops to each region or battle front. We don't spend much time talking or teaching about the mark of the beast or what day Jesus will return.  The battle is now and it is intense.  We have many needs and projects that are on hold, waiting for provision.  We are not waiting for the seals or trumpets or bowls to be enacted.  Many people are in the valley of decision right now, and even worse on their way to eternal darkness.  Our job is to lead them to Christ, to share the good news of the gospel.  We invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts as we take the gospel to children through our feeding program, and to the young people and adults at the church meetings and crusades.  Pray about your part in helping us.  May God bless you as you pray!

The Battle is God's

2 Chron 20:15 And Jahaziel said, " Listen, all you inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the Lord to you: Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God's." v17 You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem! Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you."

Beloved, we frequently fall into fear or discouragement when we look at all the problems and mountains in our lives. When we are striving to serve the Lord, the enemy is also working his best to derail us from our destiny and the works of the kingdom. You have probably heard the phrase, "higher level, more devil!"  But we serve a mighty God, and the Commander of the Lord's Army, Jesus Christ.  We have the ministering flames of fire and the battle tested warrior angels at our disposal.  Call upon the Lord in your day of trouble, seek the Lord while He may be found.  King Jehoshaphat found out the words of the prophet were true and led to preservation; he led Judah and Jerusalem in praise and worship of the Lord, and the enemies ambushed each other!  It was a great victory for King Jehoshaphat, and he didn't even have to get out his sword.  Beloved, we invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts as we battle in Makunda Village for our abandoned children and the Living Water Church.  It is a continuous challenge.  We are also organizing for a crusade in Arusha, TZ, we need to move forward on that front as well. Eye Has Not Seen

1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those who love Him."  v10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit.  For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. v11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so, no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.

Beloved, as born again believers we are meant to enjoy the deep things of God, for Jesus said, "I will not leave you as orphans, but I will leave a Helper, an advocate, to abide in you and with you."  That means we have the wisdom and counsel of the Holy Spirit to guide as through this journey of life.  More than anything else this day we need wisdom and revelation, and discernment about what is going on about us,so we can see things as God sees them, and know when we are being deceived.  It is a major challenge in the end time battle, the spirit of the antichrist will come to deceive the whole world. I pray for the people in this ministry to be able to discern the things in the Spirit, so our efforts bring maximum benefit to the kingdom and the people and children we are working with.  It is a great challenge, especially for someone from a totally different culture and background. I appreciate your prayers and support, and request you pray even more for me and the leadership team here in Gather the Outcasts.  We want to know the things that God has prepared for us in Africa.  May God bless you as you pray!

Governing Authorities

Romans 13:1 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For their is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.  v2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment upon themselves. v3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authorities? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. v4 For he is God's minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God's minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. 

Beloved, life goes on here in Kenya after a contentious but mostly peaceful election for President, Members of Parliament, and county offices.  The Lord gave me a detailed dream in October 2021 showing me the man He was going to raise up to be President; he is now the President Elect.  However, a challenge to the results of the Electoral Commission has been lodged by the opposition, so there will be a petition to the Supreme Court to settle the issue.  Keep praying for Kenya, that the final results will also be received peacefully.  Kenyans are ready to move on and just want to work and pay their school fees and get on with their lives. Even Jesus had to appear before the civil authorities at the time of His crucifixion; His fate was ultimately decided by a Governor Pontius Pilate. Pray for those in authority over you, that they will be a minister to you for good in these times of turmoil. It was Pilate who wrote a title on a board and posted it over Jesus on the cross. And the writing was: JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS. Pilate also proclaimed, "I am innocent of the blood of this Just Person".  Maybe he had revelation.  We invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts as we preach Christ and Him crucified!  May God bless you as you pray.

Bless the Poor

 

Dear beloved:  Prayers for healing at Tarime, TZ Crusade; feeding children at Living Water Children's fun day

Luke 14:12 Then Jesus said to him who had invited Him, "When you give a dinner or a supper, do not ask your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor rich neighbors, lest they also invite you back, and you be repaid. v13 But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind.  v14 And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you shall be repaid at the resurrection of the just."

Beloved, Jesus said when you give to the poor, it is God who repays you. That is a scripture we have to take to heart in Kenya, as every day people come to us asking for food, medical assistance, school fees, and any number of other needs they have. For most, we realize there will not be a repayment, even when one is promised. Our children's fun day is a case in point. Expenses for the day run about $100 to feed 150 children and pay the teachers and cook staff, but it is a kingdom investment well worth the cost..  We have many children coming early and staying late, even as young as three years up to age fifteen, anxious to hear the Bible stories and fill their little stomachs with a healthy meal. Even at the crusades, the blind, lame, and sick come seeking prayer and healing; most don't have money for expensive hospital treatments and medicines. They avoid hospitals because they know they will never be able to pay the bill to get out even if they are successfully treated. Join with us as we minister to the least of these of the Lord, you will receive your blessing at the resurrection of the just.  May God bless you as you pray!

Identity in Christ

Mark 16:15 And Jesus said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature,.v16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned." Ephesians 2:10  For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Beloved, the faith of a believer is displayed, or manifests itself in good works.  Without the works, our faith is dead.  Many Christians are content to play it safe and stay in their comfort zone, resting on their confession and the promise of eternal life.  We have eternal life with Christ Jesus, praise God for that!  But God has called each and every believer to a higher plateau, a place of trusting in the authority and identity we have in Christ. To truly understand the identity we have in Christ means we can totally trust Him for provision, for health and healing, and for hundredfold blessings when we step into that unknown realm of faith.  God has spoken over you (beforehand) the works that He has prepared.  You can only know the blessings of accomplishing those works if you actually step out and do them. Abraham didn't just believe, he ventured forth into the far country. We invite you to step out in faith and partner with Gather the Outcasts Ministry in Africa.  We are planning another crusade in Arusha, Tanzania, and have other projects of training and evangelism going here in Kenya and other countries.  Be a part of a move of God.  May God bless you as you pray!

Gather the Outcasts

Micah 4:6 "In that day", says the Lord, "I will assemble the lame, I will gather the outcast and those whom I have afflicted; v7 I will make the lame a remnant, and the outcast a strong nation; and the Lord will reign over them in Mt. Zion from now on, even forever."

Beloved, it is with great pleasure that I look over the crusade pictures of the past few years, it is a bit like looking at photo albums of family. I thank God for all the prayers and support, and pastor associations that made the crusades possible. I thank God for all the people who came forward and made decisions at these crusades; their names I do not know, but I know they are written in the Lamb's book of life.  There will be a great reunion with them in heaven someday.  I'm sure some are already there, looking down as part of the cloud of witnesses upon the crusades of today. We are working on another crusade in September for Tanzania, we invite you to be a part of reaching the lost here in East Africa..The reward is the same for those who send and those who go.  Front line soldiers always depend on the provisions from behind the battle lines, without that support the battle cannot be sustained.  We also invite people to come and be a part of the prayer and evangelism teams, as we go to the streets to stir up fire before the crusade.  Pray about your part!  God bless you as you pray.
