Feast of Purim

Dear beloved: Pics; Hardcore subfloor in place; Foundation for brick walls, Living Water Primary School

Esther 9:1 Now in the twelfth month, the month of Adar, on the thirteenth day, the time came for the kings's command and his decree (to kill the Jews) to be executed. On the day the enemies of the Jews hoped to overpower them, the opposite occurred, in that the Jews themselves overpowered those who hated them. v26 So they called these days Purim, after the name Pur (Lots). Therefore, because of all of the words of this letter, what they had seen concerning this matter, and what had happened to them, v27 The Jews established and imposed it upon themselves and their descendants and all who would join them, that without fail they should celebrate these two days every year; according to the written instructions and according to the prescribed time.

Beloved, there was a time in the days of the captivity of the Jewish remnant in Shusha (Iran) that God raised up a Jewish orphan girl name Esther, who became Queen Esther.  God placed her and her Uncle Mordecai in strategic positions to bring deliverance to the Jews. Their primary nemesis was Haman, the king's most powerful minister, who had decreed to hang Mordecai and kill all the Jews for rebellion to him.  Haman had a vile hatred for the Jews and wanted to "wipe them off the face of the earth". Does that sound familiar to the words we have been hearing from the leaders of Iran for the last several decades? On the very day that Haman had declared the Jews would be wiped out, the tables were turned on him and he and his sons were hung on the very gallows he had prepared for Mordecai and the Jews. Please read the story in the Book of Esther to get the full picture of how this all came about. Because of the joyful deliverance and destruction of their enemies, the  Jews initiated the Feast of Purim, which even today Jews celebrate annually, to remember and remind themselves of the faithfulness of God. This year, the Feast of Purim fell on March 2-3,  We invite you to support Gather the Outcasts Ministry as we take the good news of the Gospel the nations of Africa, the news that sets all the captives free for eternity. The spirit of God is moving in Africa, you can be a part of the sending army. Our school project is full speed ahead, contact me for details or make a generous donation.  May God bless you as you pray!
