Word is Power

 a

Dear beloved: pics: altar call at Sabatia Crusade; Mbeya, TZ Crusade

Mark 5:2   And when Jesus had come out of the boat, immediately there met Him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, v3 who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no one could bind him, not even with chains. v6 When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him. v7 And he cried out with a loud voice and said, "What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God that you do not torment me" v8 For Jesus said to him, "Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!"

Beloved, we see in the Scripture above, the man with the unclean spirit run to Jesus and worship him, knowing in his heart and spirit that Jesus was the only hope he had for deliverance from the torment he was living in. Even without introduction he knew by the anointing that Jesus was the Son of the Most High God.  Last week at a crusade I was preaching in Sabatia, Kenya, a drunkard came off the nearby road and came crashing up to the altar.  In his current condition he was barely able to stand, as you can see in the picture above I am helping him to stay upright. The rest of the story is that we prayed for him for several minutes and cast the demons of drunkenness and rebellion out of him, and eventually he settled down and was in his right mind. We always say in giving the invitation at a crusade, come as you are, Jesus is more than able to carry your burdens and cleanse you of unrighteousness.  "For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, even to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart." (Hebrews 4:12)  The word is power!   We invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts Ministry, as we preach the blood of Jesus, the power of God to save, to deliver, to set the captives free. How can we preach unless we are sent?  Pray about your part in promoting the Gospel in Kenya and beyond in Africa.  May God bless you as you pray.
