The Seed Must Die

Dear beloved: Dar es Salaam, Tz;  Kibera, Nairobi Kenya Crusade

1 Corinthians 15:35  But someone will say, "How are the dead raised up?  And with what body do they come?  v36 Foolish one, what you sow is not made alive unless it dies. v42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. v43 It is sown in dishonour, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power.  v44 It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.  There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. v45 And so it is written, "The first man Adam became a living being."  The last Adam (Jesus) became a life giving spirit. v49 And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man.

Beloved, this Chapter 15 in the book of 1 Corinthians is a very deep but wonderful chapter in the Bible. Many people that Apostle Paul was ministering to were tied to the land through subsistence farming, and were accustomed to illustrations from the agrarian lifestyle.  Here Paul describes the death of Jesus as a seed, the heavenly seed, being planted, only to be raised to life just as a kernel of wheat or maize also comes to life when it is planted. Jesus showed us through His resurrection that we have nothing to fear in death.  He proved His divinity by conquering death on the cross, only to rise again after three days!  "O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?"  Our heavenly, spiritual body will be resurrected to be united with Jesus, we will sit and dine with Him and all the saints at the marriage supper of the Lamb. A foreshadowing of our resurrection also takes place when we are born again. The old sinful man dies, to be replaced by a brand new creation! Before the new comes, the old must die!  Praise God for the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  Through Him we have eternal life.

Pray about your part in partnering with Gather the Outcasts Ministry here in Africa.  We have many burdens caring for the orphan and abandoned children, as well as needs of the church and village people of Makunda.  These people are very poor and their earthly needs will shock your senses at times, you wonder how they survive. We want to hear from you, on a monthly basis or a one time gift.  Any amount will help.  Thank you for your prayers and support!

The Harvest is Plentiful

Dear beloved; pics  Ngozi, Burundi Crusade; Mud house construction, Makunda village, Kenya

Luke 10:1 Now after this the Lord appointed seventy others, and sent them out two and two ahead of Him to every city and place where He Himself was going to come. v2 And He was saying to them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. v3 Go your ways; behold, I send you out as lambs in the midst of wolves."

Beloved, these words spoken by the Lord Jesus almost two thousand years ago still ring true today.  In spite of all the technological advancements in the modern age, there are still billions of people across the earth who have never heard a clear presentation of the gospel message.  Some have never even heard the name of the true Jesus, the Son of God who died for them on the cross. Beyond that, many who have heard have fallen away or produced no lasting fruit.  The recent solar eclipse, though it had many prophetic implications, proved one thing beyond a doubt: Jesus isn't ready to come back to gather up the saints just yet.  Those who are prophesying, "the end is near, the end is near". didn't get that message from Jesus or the Holy Spirit.  Jesus is saying just the opposite, "get busy for the harvest is plentiful!"  With that in mind, we invite you to come to Kenya for a short term mission.  We can build a mud house for a needy widow, minister to the children at Living Water Children's Home, and maybe preach at a church revival or crusade.  Let me know if you would be interested in a mid summer trip, there are others who might be interested.  The time is at hand, the kindom of God is among us.  Pray about your part in gathering for the kingdom.  May God bless you as you pray!

At the Master's Feet

Dear beloved: Pics, Living Water Church of Makunda; Children's Funday, LW Children's Home

Luke 10:39  And Martha had a sister called Mary, who moreover was listening to the Lord's word, seated at His feet. v40 But Martha was distracted with all her preparations; and she came up to Him, and said, "Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to do all the serving alone? Then tell her to help me." v41 But the Lord answered and said to her, "Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things; v42 but only a few things are necessary, really only one, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her."

Beloved, there is a time for every purpose under heaven.  A time to pray, a time to work, a time to serve, a time to sit at the Master's feet. After returning to USA after nearly a year in Kenya, I"m amazed about how busy everyone is here.  America is built on work, and the beautiful roads, airports, schools, and homes all attest to the great work ethic we have. God gives us the power to make wealth, and prosperity begins with work and creative attributes given to us by God.  At Living Water, we try to have a balanced lifestyle of work on the shamba, and dynamic church services saturated with a lot of powerful worship, preaching, and prayer.  We also have all night prayer meetings, called keshas, which we hold several times each year. We also feel compelled to build mud houses for the widows in our village, many of whom live in very dilapidated structures. Come to visit us in Kenya, we can show you hospitality and you will minister and see things in Africa you have never seen before!  Pray about your part in boosting Gather the Outcasts Ministry in Kenya.  We need monthly partners, as well as one time donations to help us with many projects we have going.  May God bless you as you pray!

The Passover Lamb

Dear beloved: pics: Gather the Outcasts Crusade in Tanzania; baptism at Living Water Church in Makunda

Exodus 12:21 Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said to them, "Go and take for yourselves lambs according to your families, and slay the Passover lamb." v22 And you shall take a bunch of hyssop and dip it in the blood which is in the basin, and apply some of the blood that is in the basin to the lintel and the two doorposts; and none of you shall go outside the door of his house until morning. v23 For the Lord will pass through to strike the Egyptians; but when He sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the Lord will pass over the door and will not allow the destoyer to come in to your houses to strike you. v24 and you shall keep this event as an ordinance for you and your children forever.

Belover, this week is Passover on the Hebrew calender, starting on April 22 and ending on April 30.  Passover is the Feast of the Jews that is celebrated as a memorial to the time of liberation from the bondage and plagues of Egypt.  It is a type and shadow of how the blood of Jesus frees us from the bondage and plagues of the enemy in our life.  If we apply the blood of Jesus over the lintel and the doorposts of our hearts, we are set free.  Whom the Son sets free is free indeed!  The waters of baptism also are a representation of the blood of Jesus washing over us, so we can appeal to God with a good conscience through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. We are buried with Him in the water of baptism, to be raised in newness of life, a new creation!  We invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts Ministry as we take the good news of the gospel to the lost in Africa.  We preach Christ and Him crucified.  We are a multifaceted ministry; crusades and big outdoor meetings, church revivals, personal one to one village evangelism, as well as outreach to the orphans and widows in the area of Makunda in Kenya.  We now have four churches in Mumias area under our registration.  You will sow into fertile ground!  Pray about your part in supporting us. I will be in USA for a couple of months, contact me if you would like for me to come preach and share the mission.  May God bless you as you pray!
