A Child is Born

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given, and the government shall be upon His shoulder. And His name shall be called, Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. v7 Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end. Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice, from that time forward and forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. 

Beloved, the names given to our Lord and Savior speak of His nature as our Lord and Savior, as well as our Shepherd as born again believers.  He is all that and more.  He is lowly and gentle, humble in heart, and He will give rest to your weary soul.  I am thankful for the many prayer warriors and supporters the Lord has brought to Gather the Outcasts Ministry.  Without you we would not be able to accomplish what we do here in Africa.  Without the zeal of the Lord of hosts we would not have the desire in the first place, but when we grow weary, we know the Lord will sustain us. Nothing we do is without battle.. Even this day, Christmas eve, a former muslim who had been in a car wreck came to the church for prayer and ended up giving his life to the Lord. We are finishing up the dining hall/conference room (above picture) the day before Christmas, may God be glorified in this place as we serve meals to the public and also have a great meeting room. May the work of our hands bring increase to His government in Kenya.  Thank you so much for your prayers and support.  I pray you all have a wonderful Christmas with friends and family, as well as a safe and prosperous New Year 2023.  God bless you as you pray!

Wedding

Rev. 19:7 "Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready."  v8 And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.  v9 Then he said to me, " Write: Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!"  And he said to me, "these are the true sayings of God."

Beloved, God cares very much about earthly weddings and marriage, because it is the picture of Jesus Christ the Bridegroom, and His bride the church of the Living God. We were very happy to host the first wedding in Living Water Church of Makunda for Bony and Elizabeth.  Bony is one of our pastors, and also serves at the children's home as caretaker.  What an event it was!  About 200 people packed into the church for hours of praise and worship, preaching, and then the official service where they spoke their vows to each other and presented the rings.  Our Lord Jesus is coming back some day to gather up the church and take them to heaven where they will dine with him at the marriage supper of the Lamb.  Will you be among those who are seated at the tables with all the saints of old and the born again believers of this generation?  Praise God if you know you will be there on that day.   We invite you to make a year end donation to help Gather the Outcasts Ministry take the good news of the gospel to the nations, one village and one family at a time.  May God bless you as you pray1

Living Water

John 4:10 Jesus answered the Samaritan woman, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, "Give Me a drink,"  you would have asked Him and He would have given you living water." v13 and Jesus answered her again and said, "Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, v14 but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. The water that I shall give him will become in him the fountain of water springing up into everlasting life."

Beloved, when I need a reminder of the everlasting nature of God, I go out to the Living Water spring and get a good drink and sit and relax beside it.  It keeps pouring forth beautiful, clear, drinkable water day after day, year after year.  Water is life, it nourishes our children, crops, and livestock.  We also share it with the villagers in the area, they can have all they want at no charge. Jesus told the Samaritan woman at Jacob's well, there is water that brings everlasting life, and once you have it, you will never thirst again. He then proceeded to prophesy to the lady, told her details of her personal life that she knew only God could know.  Before the conversation was over, Jesus told her that the one she was talking to was the Christ, the Messiah.  We named the children's home and church Living Water, we wanted to promote our ministry message as the gift of God that springs up to eternal life.  What more could we have to offer?  We invite you to partner with us as we take the soul cleansing message of the gospel to a dry and thirsty land.  Pray about your part in making an impact with a year end gift that will live on for all eternity.  May God bless you as you pray!

Arusha Crusade

Isaiah 41:17 The poor and the needy seek water, but there is none. Their tongues fail for thirst. I, the Lord, will hear them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them. v18 I will open rivers in desolate heights, and fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water. 

Beloved, we had a good cruade in Arusha, TZ, for four days we plowed and broke up the hard ground.  Arusha is a center for tourism and also a center for other faiths, so it was not easy reaping the harvest.  In the end the Lord's word does not come back to Him void.  We had many salvation decisions, and some great testimonies of healing and deliverance. Many more were set free of witchcraft demons and mental torment.  Possibly the greatest breakthrough came on Sunday, the final day of the crusade.  It had been extremely dry around Arusha, and all over Masai land of Tanzania and Kenya. I spoke on the first day, "It will rain during the crusade."  Sunday it started to rain just as the crusade was ready to start, and it rained hard for an hour, then slowly began to clear.  We were able to have a shortened program with the crowd standing and dancing in the mud.  May the Lord be glorified in all kinds of weather.  But everyone was very thankful for the rain, and it rained again on Monday, and followed us all the way to Nairobi. Mountain of the Lord

Micah 4:1 And it shall come to pass in the latter days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and peoples shall flow to it.  v2 Many nations shall come and say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths."  v6 "In that day," says the Lord," I will assemble the lame, I will gather the outcast, and those whom I have afflicted. v7 I will make the lame a remnant, and the outcast a strong nation, So the Lord will reign over them in Zion, from now on and forever."

Beloved, we are excited to be going to Arusha, TZ, this coming week for a four day crusade.  Arusha is a beautiful city that sits at the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa at over 19,300 feet in elevation.  It is a gateway for many tourists who come to climb the mountain, and also a gateway to the Serengeti Plain, the wildlife corridor that stretches from central Tanzania up into the Masai Mara in southern Kenya. Millions of wildebeest, zebra, impala, buffalo and other wild animals migrate through this corridor every year looking for fresh grass to sustain themselves and their newborns.  We are going for a different purpose as the Lord has opened a door for us to preach the gospel and bring in the harvest of souls.  Pray with us that we will have a successful crusade, and that many who don't know Jesus will have a personal encounter with Him. You can be a part of this crusade if you would like to send a donation to help support the evangelists and pastors who are on the team to host this crusade.  In addition, we have significant travel expenses for those of us coming from Kenya.  Pray about your part, God is moving in Tanzania!  May God bless you as you pray.

1Peter 1:18 Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, v19 but with the precious blood of Jesus Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. v20 He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, v21 who through Him believe in God, who raised Jesus from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

When God created Adam from the dust of the earth, and then Eve from Adam's rib, He placed them in a garden of perfect bliss and peace.  They had all the provision they would ever need without striving for it. He also placed a barrier between Himself and them, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.  He told Adam, "all the trees of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for if you eat of it, you shall surely die."  Did God know that Adam and Eve would sin and lead us into the fallen world?  Yes, He knew.  Peter tells that Jesus was foreordained before the foundation of the world to be our precious Redeemer. God always had a plan in place to bring fallen man back to Him, a way whereby we can overcome the evil of this fallen world.  As we prepare for our crusade in Arusha, Tanzania, Nov. 10-13, pray for us and and also pray about your part in helping send our team of evangelists and pastors to bring in the harvest. Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

Psalm 139:14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. v15 My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. v16 Your eyes saw my substance being yet unformed. And in Your book they were all written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.  v17 How precious are Your thoughts to me, O God!  How great is the sum of them!

We place a high priority on the teaching and nurturing of the children God has placed in our care. In addition to the 25 children we now have in the Living Water Children's Home, we also have a Children's Funday every other Saturday.  We have been doing this for a couple years now, and we routinely feed 125 or more children.  We also teach them how valuable they are in God's sight, that they are uniquely created and God knows each and every one of them, and has a wonderful plan for their life.  Many of the children are from muslim families in Makunda village, so these words are very new and exciting to them.  We want them to hear the good news of the gospel, while their little hearts are open and not stained and hardened by the harsh life here in Kenya.  With your help we can expand this fun/feeding day to other locations here around Makunda.  We also have plans to build a primary school on the land next to the children's home.  Pray with us that we can purchase one more parcel of land needed, and that we can quickly raise the funds to build the school.  Jesus said, "With the faith of a mustard seed, you can pray and mountains will be moved into the sea."  We invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts as we move the kingdom of God forward here in Kenya and East Africa.  With God nothing is impossible!  May God bless you as you pray!

My Yoke is Easy

Matthew 11:28 "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. v29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly at heart, and you will find rest for your weary souls. v30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

Beloved, one of the signs of the end times is that Christians will be persecuted and be hated by all nations for Jesus name's sake.  I never imagined persecution of Christians would ever take place in America, I found the whole idea a bit incomprehensible.  And yet we see it happening more and more with each passing day.  The invitation by Jesus to come unto Him is especially appropriate now.  People are full of fear, anxiety, and distrust.  Jesus said, "You can trust Me, I will carry your burdens for you."  That is a welcome thought to settle our anxiety.  God's word is settled in heaven.  Faith is simply trusting God, and trusting that the words spoken in the Bible are true.  Are you anxious, weary, and dreading the news each day?  Put your trust in Jesus, you will find rest for your soul. The good news of the gospel is the hope for all mankind, the hope that does not disappoint.  When we share the good news with people here in Africa, they respond.  They also respond when we show them acts of kindness, build them a house, or give them a meal or cup of water in Jesus name.  You can be a part of that with your generous support of this ministry. We have two special needs children in particular who need leg braces, wheel chairs, and instruction at a school for disabled children. Kenya Miracle Election

Job 33:14  For God may speak in one way, or in another, yet man does not perceive it. v15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men, while slumbering on their beds, v16 Then He opens the ears of men and seals their instruction. v17 In order to turn man from his deed, and conceal pride from man, v18 He keeps back his soul from the Pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.

Beloved, Kenya just finished a contentious election cycle with the election of President William Ruto, the first ever evangelical Christian to be elected in this country.  His campaign slogan was "Hustler Nation", and his symbol was the yellow wheelbarrow, signifying the bottom up economic model to lift up the working men and women of Kenya.  We give thanks to God for a very peaceful election, and for this man William Ruto and his wife, Rachel.  In October 2021, the Lord gave me a dream and showed me a man pushing a wheelbarrow, with a large, shiny red tomato in the wheelbarrow.  It was the Grand Prize tomato of the County Fair.  At Living Water Church we also believe in getting our hands dirty for the kingdom.  As you can see in the picture above, we finished a mud house for our church member, Isaac, on the same day as the inauguration of President Ruto.  A great day for Isaac and for the nation of Kenya.  Stand with us as we build the kingdom here in Kenya, with work projects, preaching the gospel, caring for the widows and orphans.  Pray about your part in helping us here in Africa!  May God bless you as you pray!

Building the Wall

Nehemiah 4:16 So it was, from that time on, that half of my servants worked at construction, while the other half held the spears, the shields, the bows, the armor; and the leaders were behind all the house of Judah. v17 Those who built on the wall, and those who carried burdens, loaded themselves so that with one hand they worked at construction, and with the other held a weapon. v18 Every one of the builders had his sword girded at his side as he built.  And the one who sounded the trumpet was beside me. 

Beloved, this picture that Nehemiah painted of the battle he faced when building the wall of Jerusalem is a picture of our daily battle with the demonic realm. The battle for the whole earth and against the spirit of the antichrist is the overarching battle described in God's word.  But the battle we need to be most focused on is the battle you and I are involved in each and every day. The enemy is right in front of us!  We succeed in battle by having a sword (the word of God) in one hand, and the tools for building (cameras, video cameras, platforms, sound systems, plane tickets, etc) in our other hand, prepared to build. Our leaders, the pastors, evangelists, elders, etc., are the ones who blow the trumpet to rally the troops to each region or battle front. We don't spend much time talking or teaching about the mark of the beast or what day Jesus will return.  The battle is now and it is intense.  We have many needs and projects that are on hold, waiting for provision.  We are not waiting for the seals or trumpets or bowls to be enacted.  Many people are in the valley of decision right now, and even worse on their way to eternal darkness.  Our job is to lead them to Christ, to share the good news of the gospel.  We invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts as we take the gospel to children through our feeding program, and to the young people and adults at the church meetings and crusades.  Pray about your part in helping us.  May God bless you as you pray!

The Battle is God's

2 Chron 20:15 And Jahaziel said, " Listen, all you inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the Lord to you: Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God's." v17 You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem! Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you."

Beloved, we frequently fall into fear or discouragement when we look at all the problems and mountains in our lives. When we are striving to serve the Lord, the enemy is also working his best to derail us from our destiny and the works of the kingdom. You have probably heard the phrase, "higher level, more devil!"  But we serve a mighty God, and the Commander of the Lord's Army, Jesus Christ.  We have the ministering flames of fire and the battle tested warrior angels at our disposal.  Call upon the Lord in your day of trouble, seek the Lord while He may be found.  King Jehoshaphat found out the words of the prophet were true and led to preservation; he led Judah and Jerusalem in praise and worship of the Lord, and the enemies ambushed each other!  It was a great victory for King Jehoshaphat, and he didn't even have to get out his sword.  Beloved, we invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts as we battle in Makunda Village for our abandoned children and the Living Water Church.  It is a continuous challenge.  We are also organizing for a crusade in Arusha, TZ, we need to move forward on that front as well. Eye Has Not Seen

1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those who love Him."  v10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit.  For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. v11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so, no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.

Beloved, as born again believers we are meant to enjoy the deep things of God, for Jesus said, "I will not leave you as orphans, but I will leave a Helper, an advocate, to abide in you and with you."  That means we have the wisdom and counsel of the Holy Spirit to guide as through this journey of life.  More than anything else this day we need wisdom and revelation, and discernment about what is going on about us,so we can see things as God sees them, and know when we are being deceived.  It is a major challenge in the end time battle, the spirit of the antichrist will come to deceive the whole world. I pray for the people in this ministry to be able to discern the things in the Spirit, so our efforts bring maximum benefit to the kingdom and the people and children we are working with.  It is a great challenge, especially for someone from a totally different culture and background. I appreciate your prayers and support, and request you pray even more for me and the leadership team here in Gather the Outcasts.  We want to know the things that God has prepared for us in Africa.  May God bless you as you pray!

Governing Authorities

Romans 13:1 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For their is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.  v2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment upon themselves. v3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authorities? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. v4 For he is God's minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God's minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. 

Beloved, life goes on here in Kenya after a contentious but mostly peaceful election for President, Members of Parliament, and county offices.  The Lord gave me a detailed dream in October 2021 showing me the man He was going to raise up to be President; he is now the President Elect.  However, a challenge to the results of the Electoral Commission has been lodged by the opposition, so there will be a petition to the Supreme Court to settle the issue.  Keep praying for Kenya, that the final results will also be received peacefully.  Kenyans are ready to move on and just want to work and pay their school fees and get on with their lives. Even Jesus had to appear before the civil authorities at the time of His crucifixion; His fate was ultimately decided by a Governor Pontius Pilate. Pray for those in authority over you, that they will be a minister to you for good in these times of turmoil. It was Pilate who wrote a title on a board and posted it over Jesus on the cross. And the writing was: JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS. Pilate also proclaimed, "I am innocent of the blood of this Just Person".  Maybe he had revelation.  We invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts as we preach Christ and Him crucified!  May God bless you as you pray.

Bless the Poor

 

Dear beloved:  Prayers for healing at Tarime, TZ Crusade; feeding children at Living Water Children's fun day

Luke 14:12 Then Jesus said to him who had invited Him, "When you give a dinner or a supper, do not ask your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor rich neighbors, lest they also invite you back, and you be repaid. v13 But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind.  v14 And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you shall be repaid at the resurrection of the just."

Beloved, Jesus said when you give to the poor, it is God who repays you. That is a scripture we have to take to heart in Kenya, as every day people come to us asking for food, medical assistance, school fees, and any number of other needs they have. For most, we realize there will not be a repayment, even when one is promised. Our children's fun day is a case in point. Expenses for the day run about $100 to feed 150 children and pay the teachers and cook staff, but it is a kingdom investment well worth the cost..  We have many children coming early and staying late, even as young as three years up to age fifteen, anxious to hear the Bible stories and fill their little stomachs with a healthy meal. Even at the crusades, the blind, lame, and sick come seeking prayer and healing; most don't have money for expensive hospital treatments and medicines. They avoid hospitals because they know they will never be able to pay the bill to get out even if they are successfully treated. Join with us as we minister to the least of these of the Lord, you will receive your blessing at the resurrection of the just.  May God bless you as you pray!

Identity in Christ

Mark 16:15 And Jesus said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature,.v16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned." Ephesians 2:10  For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Beloved, the faith of a believer is displayed, or manifests itself in good works.  Without the works, our faith is dead.  Many Christians are content to play it safe and stay in their comfort zone, resting on their confession and the promise of eternal life.  We have eternal life with Christ Jesus, praise God for that!  But God has called each and every believer to a higher plateau, a place of trusting in the authority and identity we have in Christ. To truly understand the identity we have in Christ means we can totally trust Him for provision, for health and healing, and for hundredfold blessings when we step into that unknown realm of faith.  God has spoken over you (beforehand) the works that He has prepared.  You can only know the blessings of accomplishing those works if you actually step out and do them. Abraham didn't just believe, he ventured forth into the far country. We invite you to step out in faith and partner with Gather the Outcasts Ministry in Africa.  We are planning another crusade in Arusha, Tanzania, and have other projects of training and evangelism going here in Kenya and other countries.  Be a part of a move of God.  May God bless you as you pray!

Gather the Outcasts

Micah 4:6 "In that day", says the Lord, "I will assemble the lame, I will gather the outcast and those whom I have afflicted; v7 I will make the lame a remnant, and the outcast a strong nation; and the Lord will reign over them in Mt. Zion from now on, even forever."

Beloved, it is with great pleasure that I look over the crusade pictures of the past few years, it is a bit like looking at photo albums of family. I thank God for all the prayers and support, and pastor associations that made the crusades possible. I thank God for all the people who came forward and made decisions at these crusades; their names I do not know, but I know they are written in the Lamb's book of life.  There will be a great reunion with them in heaven someday.  I'm sure some are already there, looking down as part of the cloud of witnesses upon the crusades of today. We are working on another crusade in September for Tanzania, we invite you to be a part of reaching the lost here in East Africa..The reward is the same for those who send and those who go.  Front line soldiers always depend on the provisions from behind the battle lines, without that support the battle cannot be sustained.  We also invite people to come and be a part of the prayer and evangelism teams, as we go to the streets to stir up fire before the crusade.  Pray about your part!  God bless you as you pray.

The Greatest Miracle

Luke 10:17  And the seventy returned with joy, saying, "Lord,, even the demons are subject to us in Your name."  v18 And He said to them, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. v19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. v20 Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice that your names are written in heaven."

Beloved, Jesus has given us power and authority to see the demons flee, when we speak to them in His name.  It is not our power, but His power that causes them to shudder and flee.  But above all that, the fact that people can have their names written in the Lamb's Book of Life is the greatest miracle of all.  Those who are in darkness can come to see the light and be given the right to become sons and daughters of God.  Therein lies the motivation for the crusades that we preach here in Kenya and East Africa.  To see even one sinner repent and come to Jesus is cause for great rejoicing in heaven and on earth!  We are making preparations to go back to Tanzania in September, to Arusha, a beautiful city that sits at the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro.  Pray for the Lord of the Harvest to send forth workers into His harvest!  We are asking for you to join us in prayer and in providing financial support for this crusade.  Let the name of the Lord be magnified in Tanzania and all over the earth!  May God bless you as you pray.

Ask to Receive

Matthew 7:7 (Jesus) "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door shall be opened to you. v8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. v9 Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? v10 Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? v11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him?"

Beloved, there are so many needs of the people here in Kenya, and in other African countries, it is difficult for a person from a place like the USA to comprehend how the people manage to survive here.  The answer, of course, is this is all they know. They know the agony and the misery, but they don't have anything better to compare it to.  Their frame of reference and exposure to the outside world is quite limited.  Not so for missionaries.  We carry the burden of knowing everything in their life could be better; better education, housing, healthcare, security, service delivery. But for all of us there is one leveling event, Jesus Christ and Him crucified!  He is the hope for their misery as well as the peace to endure each day and live with joy and purpose.  What else can I ask of the Father in heaven for these people?  Gather the Outcasts Ministry is fertile soil in which you can give.  We are making a difference in the lives of many here in Kenya and all over East Africa.  We invite you to support the school children of Living Water Children's Home, we need $1,500 to get them all back in school this term.  Pray about your part in helping raise the standard for children of Kenya. Prayers for Masai

Psalm 89:13 You have a mighty arm; strong is Your hand, and high is Your right hand. v14 Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Mercy and truth go before Your face. v15  Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound! They walk, O Lord, in the light of Your countenance.

Beloved, over the years I have made several trips to the Masai Mara wildlife refuge in Kenya, the world's premier wildlife refuge. I have also had the privilege of traveling through the Masai ancestral land in Tanzania, a land the Masai say they have inhabited for 7,000 years.  The Masai in Tanzania are now being threatened with eviction from their tribal land, in a scheme concocted by some members of the government along with foreign interests who desire to profit off the ancestral land of these precious people. The Masai are a simple people who have no desire to be in conflict with anyone, they just want to be left alone to raise their families and livestock as they have for centuries.  Our God is a God of righteousness and justice, those attributes are the foundation of His throne!  He has heard the cry of the Masai.  Next week I will be going with a team to the border to pray with the Masai, and to make decrees and declarations on behalf of God's people who are standing with the Masai. To Fathers

Malachi 4: 4 Remember the law of Moses, My servant, which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments. v5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and coming day of the Lord, v6 and he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to the fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.

Beloved, the desperate need for families in both Kenya and in America is for good fathers to be raising up their children in the home. Statistics paint a grim picture of the future for boys especially, as rates of drug addiction, poor school performance, incarceration, and other parameters are much higher in fatherless homes.  I was very blessed to have a loving, hard working father who cared for me and our family, and he was a great role model of a man of God in my life. I honor him and all fathers out there who are working hard to be the father in their families the Lord desires them to be.  At Living Water Church, we are training up men in the church to be disciples of Jesus, and beyond that great leaders of their families.  We have men's prayer breakfast twice each month, as well as Encounter training sessions that focus on their role in the family. We invite and appreciate your support and prayers for the church and for the children in the Living Water Children's Home, as they also must overcome the obstacles of having been orphaned or abandoned. A Child is Born

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a Child is Born, Unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon his shoulder.  And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Price of Peace. v7 Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever.  The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. 

Beloved, as well as referring to Himself as the Son of God, Jesus also referred to Himself as the Son of Man.  He did that because He wanted to show that when He was on the earth, He represented all humanity, our strengths, weaknesses, temptations, our daily struggles.  He knows every detail of our lives, for He has lived it and overcame the the ways in which we fail.  He even overcame the sting of death, and took that victory away from the evil one. When man was created in the image of God, God knew from the beginning of time that man would have the opportunity and propensity to fail.  Adam's fall did not take Him by surprise.  That is why from the beginning, God also had a plan of redemption, and that plan included sending His very own Son to come to earth to save us from our sins. Some say we should not celebrate the birth of our Lord, I disagree.  If we celebrate the birthdays of ourselves and our own children, as weak and frail as we may be, should we not also celebrate the birth of the One who died to set us free, the very only Begotten Son of God?  The children at Living Water Children's Home, and every person on the earth including the thousands who come to the crusades, deserve a chance to discover their calling and fulfill their destiny.  With God's help and plan of redemption, that mission is possible.  We invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts Ministry as we take the message of hope to a lost and dying world.  Your prayers and contributions make it possible. Man of Valor!

Judges 6:11 Now the Angel of the Lord came and sat under the terebinth tree which was in Ophrah, which belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, while his son Gideon threshed wheat in the winepress, in order to hide it from the Midianites. v12 And the Angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, and said to him, "The Lord is with you, mighty man of valor!" v13 Gideon said to him, "O my lord, if the Lord is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all His miracles which our fathers told us about saying, "Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt?  But now the Lord has forsaken us and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.

Beloved, the children of Israel were so tormented by the Midianites, Gideon had to hide in the winepress to get his wheat threshed.  Many times we feel like the enemy in our lives is getting the upper hand, and we, too, are hiding in the caves and the winepress. But the Lord always has a plan of redemption and a way out.  He came to Gideon and called him out not as a man of weakness and failure, but as a mighty man of valor! The Lord set up Gideon to build an army with just 300 men, armed with pitchers, torches, and trumpets, and the Midianites were subdued before the children of Israel, the country was quiet for forty years.  Beloved, the Lord is looking for a few good people, even one, whom He can use to gather an army.  We are taking territory in Makunda village and beyond in Kenya for the kingdom of God. I believe we are raising up an army!  Pray about partnering with us as we take the good news of Jesus to the lost and hurting in Africa.  Next up, crusade in Sabatia, Kenya, coming up the last week of January. Family Altars

Judges 6:25 Now it came to pass that same night that the Lord said to Gideon, "Take your father's young bull, and a second bull of seven years old, and tear down the altar of Baal that your father has, and cut down the wooden image of Asherah that is beside it; v26 and build an altar to the Lord your God on top of this rock in proper arrangement, and take the second bull and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the image which you shall cut down." v27 So Gideon took ten men from among his servants and did as the Lord had said to him. But because he feared his father's household and the men of the city too much to do it by day, he did it by night.

Beloved, when Gideon was called by God to lead the childen of Israel against the Midianites, the Lord asked him to tear down the family evil altars.  Many of us are reluctant to serve the Lord all out, we are more concerned about what our family thinks about it, or about the customs and traditions of the family history.  As the end days and return of Christ draw near, the enemy onslaught against the family will increase and accelerate.  God's plan for the children is that they grow up in a loving, nurturing home, where the children learn about Jesus and desire to serve Him.  In Makunda village families are under assault from drunkenness, witchcraft curses, cultural generational curses, and other causes that result in premature death and single mothers raising children without support.  Children at Living Water Home are all from varied backgrounds of abandonment, trauma, family violence, and sicknesses such as HIV leading to premature death. Gather the Outcasts is working hard to provide a stable and loving environment for these children, where they can come to know Jesus and be healed of the traumatic events in their life. We pray continually for them to prosper in all things- their physical health, school work, etc, even as their soul prospers..Our desire is to see them become God fearing, well adjusted citizens of Kenya, leaders of the next generation.  Would you partner with us in that pursuit?  Fifty dollars per month will go a long way to provide for their basic needs of food, shelter, clothing, and school fees.  May God bless you as you pray!

Contending With Horses

Jeremiah 12:5 If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you, then how can you contend with horses? And if in the land of peace, in which you trusted, they wearied you, then how will you do in the thicket of the Jordan?

Beloved, the enemy is trying his best to move the timeline of the antichrist forward, to usher in the end time events when the enemy will try to get every nation and every person to bow to him. The pressure to give in is great, and yet God calls His people to be ready to contend with the horses and not let our thinking to be dominated by fear.  Those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength, they will mount up with wings of eagles; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.  The Lord says, "the gospel shall be preached in all the world as a witness to the nations, and then the end will come."  We are moving ahead with the plans for a crusade in Sabatia, Kenya, January 26-28.  Pray for this crusade, the first we have conducted in Kenya in two years.  We will not be cowed into silence  Our budget is set at $3,500, can you help us bring in the harvest in Kenya?  The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.  May God bless you as you pray!

The Harvest is Plentiful

Matthew 9:35 Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. v36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, for they were weary and scattered, like sheep without a shepherd.  v37 Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. v38  Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest."

Beloved, I spent many years in Kansas growing and shipping organic squash all over the Midwest USA. When there were plenty of laborers for the harvest, it was a joy and easy work, but when the laborers were in short supply, the job was a heavy burden. Next week we are going to Sabatia, Butere district in Kenya, for a great salvation and healing crusade.  Pray that we will have many laborers for the harvest, that the nets will be full of new believers at the end of four days of worship and preaching.  For two years now, there have been no crusades and restricted church attendance here in Kenya.  It is time for a breakthrough, time for God to roar!  More than ever before the harvest is plentiful.  Here in Kenya, many are trying to work overtime to make up for the income lost during the covid days.  Pray with us that they will be stirred to come to the crusade, and have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to them.  We invite you to partner with us as we take the good news of the gospel to the lost of Kenya and beyond!  As you send, we are able to go.  May God bless you as you pray!
