Hunger Relief Continues
Dear beloved: Pictures above, left, food distribution at Mayoni; right, Lewis, who has passed away from sickle cell anemia
Matthew 14:17 And they said to Him, "We have only five loaves and two fish." v18 He said, " Bring them to Me." v19 Then He commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass. And He took the five loaves and two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to the disciples, and the disciples gave to the multitudes. v20 So they all ate and were filled, and took up twelve baskets full of the fragments that remained. v21 Now those who had eaten were about five thousand men, besides women and children.
Beloved, we have been able to send over to Kenya almost $1,000 for famine relief that last two weeks! These people are in desperate need of food as prices for maize are skyrocketing due to crop failure last fall. The child in the photo, Lewis, is one of our preschool children that we sponsor. He is now resting with Jesus and going to school in heaven. Last week he passed on from sickle cell anemia. Please keep his family lifted up in prayer. Please pray about your part in helping with the famine relief effort. God will multiply our giving.

Hunger Relief in Kenya
Dear beloved: Pictures above: left, food distribution at Mayoni church in Kenya; right, food distribution at Pastor's village
1 Kings 17:12 So she said (to Elijah), "As the Lord your God lives, I do not have bread, only a handful of flour in a bin, and a little oil in a jar; and see, I am gathering a couple sticks that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it, and die.: v13 And Elijah said to her, " Do not fear; go and do as you have said, but make me a small cake from it first, and bring it to me; and afterward make some for yourself and your son. v14 "For thus says the Lord God of Israel: The bin of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil run dry, until the day the Lord sends rain upon the earth." v15 So she went away and did according to the word of Elijah; and she and he and her household ate for many days.
Beloved, the precious saints in our partner church and village in Kenya are suffering from hunger. Last week we sent money to purchase over 700 pounds of maize meal. I would like to continue to do that every week as the Lord provides. Please do not read this post as just another interesting post, these people are in a very difficult situation. I would like to challenge every person reading this to make a donation of $50 or more for food purchases. In the name of Jesus, we can provide the manna to them to get them to another day. They also desperately need rain on this spring's crops, so the crop will mature and there will be sufficient harvest to alleviate the hunger. Please pray about your part in helping these people.

Hunger in Kenya
Dear beloved: Pictures above: left, villagers in Kenya receiving maize meal last week; right, maize crop at Living Water Farm
James 2:14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith and does not have works? Can faith save him? v15 If a brother or sister is naked, and destitute of daily food, v16 and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, be warmed and filled",: but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? v17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. v24 You see then that a man is justified (judged) by works, and not by faith only.
Beloved, I am receiving many reports from Kenya regarding the hunger that is starting to take hold in the area of our partner church and Living Water Orphanage. Due to crop failure of last fall's crop, food shortages are appearing everywhere. The price of available maize meal is skyrocketing, has more that doubled in recent months. I would like to send money every month for the next few months until the July 2017 crop comes in. Would you partner with Gather the Outcasts to help these precious people in their time of need? You can give via Paypal or by check to the box number below. Email me if you have any questions. May God bless you as you pray.

Living Water Orphanage
Dear beloved: Pictures above, Breaking ground at Living Water; foundation and walls going up
Matthew 16:24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. v25 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. v26 For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? Matthew 6:33 Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.
Beloved, when you start to lose your plans for your own life, and take up the plans of the Lord, that is when you will find true joy and peace. To take up your cross means to walk in the footsteps of Jesus, follow the Father's will for you your life, to set your own will aside. When the Lord opened the door for me to preach the gospel to the nations, I felt like I had finally come home! The Father's projects then became my projects. Please join us in praying for the construction of the Living Water Orphanage in Kenya, it will be a great home for 30-40 children. Pray about your part in seeing it come to completion. May God bless you as you pray!
