Harvest Time

Matthew 9:36 Then when Jesus saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, for they were weary and scattered, like sheep without a shepherd.  v37 Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest is truly plentiful, but the workers are few. v38 Therefore, pray the Lord of the harvest to send forth workers into His harvest."
Beloved, I have set out on the journey to Tanzania and Burundi, the Lord has called me, it is time for His harvest.  Notice the scripture says, "His harvest."  The fields are His, they have been given to us to tend and care for. I think back to the days of my childhood, helping out at the harvest on my grandfather and uncles' farm.  Scooping the wheat in hot grain bins! But no one complained, it was an exciting time.  We have an opportunity to bring in the harvest of souls in Tanzania and Burundi, it has been a fertile field for me in the past.  The word of God will not come back to Him void, but how will they hear without a preacher?  Pray about your part in sending forth the harvest crew to the field.  I still need travel money of $2,000, and now for the Burundi crusade, $2,500.  Thank you so much for your prayers and support, may the Lord bless you as you pray!

Get Wisdom

Proverbs 4:1 Hear my children, the instruction of a father, and give attention to know understanding; v2 For I give you good doctrine; do not forsake my law. v3 When I was my father's son, tender and the only one in the sight of my mother, v4 He also taught me, and said to me:  Let your heart retain my words; keep my commands and live. v5 Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth.
Beloved, I had the joy of preaching at a youth conference in Busia yesterday.  It was refreshing to see the young people hungry for the words of wisdom.  May God bless the generation to come here in Kenya, the leaders of tomorrow.  May they receive the wisdom of God, that they can lead the church and this country into a better place than it is now. Kenya is a young country, and is going through growing pains, but God has a great future in store for the people of Kenya.  Gather the Outcasts is here to help encourage these people, that the future Kenya will reflect the kingdom of God!  Getting excited also to be going to Tanzainia soon, for a five day crusade with some of Tanzania's finest worship leaders.  Pray for this crusade, September 4-8.  I am also stepping out in faith for a crusade in Kirundo, Burundi, the following week, September 13-15.  I am trusting the Lord for $2,000 for travel money for my team, and $4,000 for the Burundi Crusade.  Pray about your part in moving the kingdom of God forward here in East Africa.  May God bless you as you pray!

Kisii Report

Acts 19:18  And many who had believed came confessing and telling their deeds. v19 Also, many of those who had practiced magic brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted up the value of them, and it totaled fifty thousand pieces of silver. v20 So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed.
Beloved, we had a very good crusade in Kisii.  One hundred forty first time salvations, and many healings in an area that is about 90% SDA stronghold. One man gave testimony he had lost his hearing in his left ear, but the Lord restored the hearing when we prayed for him. I believe we were successful in chopping off the head of the snake of witchcraft and false religions in the area. Check out my facebook page for more pictures.  Our next crusade will be in Tanzania with worship leader Bony Mwaitege. It is going to be big, we are going to Mbeya, Bony's home town.  The dates are September 4-8, you can start to pray for it. Thank you so much for your prayers and support. On To Kisii

Romans 10:13-15 for whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him in whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent?  As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace. Who bring glad tidings of good things. 
Beloved, I am looking forward to going back to Kisii to share the good news of the gospel!  We are going to the same Ogembo district that we went to in 2018, where we had a great crusade.  We will be there for four power packed days, sharing the love of Jesus with the precious souls of Kenya.  The Lord's desire is that none should perish, that all should come to repentance and a knowledge of Christ.  Pray about your part in helping send a team to Kisii.  We are still $2,000 short of our budget goal. We have a team of pastors on the ground already praying and organizing evangelism outreaches prior to the crusade.  Thank you for your prayers and support, God bless you as you pray!

Time for Harvest

Mark 4:26-29 And He said, " The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground, and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how. For the earth yields crops by itself, first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head. But when the grain ripens, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come."
Beloved, it is maize harvesting time here in Kenya.  We are thankful for the crop the Lord has blessed us at Living Water Farm.  The grain is very good quality and above average yield, even while many parts of Kenya were suffering drought and impending food shortage. The harvest of souls is near as well.  Join us in sending a team to Kisii, where we will put in the sickle for a four day crusade beginning August 1.  If you have not partnered with Gather the Outcasts prior to now, pray about your part in joining the harvest. There will be an unprecedented harvest of souls in the days ahead, but we can only go into the field with your support and prayers. Even in the natural harvest, there is a need for money for combines, trucks, fuel, and labor.. So much more for the harvest of souls. Thank you and God bless you!

My Yoke is Easy

Matt 11:28 Come unto Me all you who are heavy laden and I will give you rest. v29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. v30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.
Beloved, to work for the Lord Jesus is easy work. The joy of sharing the good news of the gospel makes all the trials and tribulations worth the effort. Every day the Lord is the lifter of our head.  We had a great time with Brooke and Carrie, we will miss them..  They spoiled Zephaniah with cappuccino, and evangelized in the village to many muslims and other unbelievers.  All together they ministered to youth groups in six churches!  Gather the Outcasts is reaching the lost in many ways.  It is a joy to see young people step out in faith and minister in new ways.  The Lord loves it!  The rains are starting to slow, crusade season is coming.  Going to Kisii August 1-4 for a crusade, and Tanzania in September for a big blast with Bony Mwaitege and Tanzania's finest worship leaders.  Also have an opportunity to help a singer who is starting a business. She is an orphan girl who is raising three siblings, wants to start a salon to supplement the singing income.  She needs $1,000 for startup capital, pray about your part in boosting these kingdom projects.  God bless you as you pray!

Street Boys

Matthew 25:34 then the King will say to those on His right, " Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. v35 For I was hungry and you gave Me food, thirsty and you gave Me drink, a stranger and you took Me in, v36 I was naked and you clothed Me, sick and you visited Me, in prison and you came to Me.
Beloved, the love of Jesus knows no bounds, perfect love casts out fear. We were able to gather the street boys of Mumias, gave them sodas and mndazis, then fed them on the word of God.  What a blessing to be able to pray with them, to tell them Jesus loves them, to break off the chains of abandonment and rejection. Two days later their lean to sheds were demolished by city crews, what little home they had gone in a heartbeat!  Gather the Outcasts ministers the love of Jesus, the good news of the gospel.  Join with us as we visit the lost and lonely, along with the rich and famous.  God loves them all!  Thank you Brooke and Carrie, you have blessed us here in Kenya. Isaiah 6:8 And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, " Whom shall I send, and who shall go for Us?"   Then I (Isaiah) said, "Here am I, send me!" v9 And He said, "Go and tell this people, keep on hearing but do not understand; Keep on seeing, but do not perceive. v10 Make the heart of the people dull, and their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; Lest they see with their eyes, hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and return and be healed."
This is what two young teachers from Kansas do with their off time, send me, Lord!  Brooke and Carrie are having a great time, leading youth Bible studies in four churches so far this week.  They also participated in a village evangelism afternoon, where two teams walked through Makunda village and prayed with over 25 households, including mostly Muslim families.  All requested prayer, some confessed Jesus as Lord!  If you have a desire to come to Africa to help spread the gospel, stop daydreaming, Gather the Outcasts has a job for you.  We are having fun spreading the good news of the gospel, people are hungry for it.

Future of Kenya

Matthew 18:2 Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, and said, "Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me. (2-5).

Jesus had a special place in his heart for the children, they are the example for us. He says if we become like them, we can enter the kingdom of heaven. Any African ministry involves ministry to children, to the widows and orphans. There are so many needy children, just to think about the magnitude of it can be overwhelming.  We have opportunities for you to partner with us as we support the needy children.  Support for New Hope preschool children is $20 per month, helps with uniforms, maize meal, teacher's pay.  I also have four students who are orphaned, Stephen, Lucy, Faith, and Lonah, that I am helping get through secondary school.  They are all bright students and doing well in their studies. Their fees average $150 per term.  Pray about your part in helping these students, the future of Kenya, as they complete their education.  Without secondary school it is very difficult to get a job.  May God bless you as you pray!
