Feast of Purim

Dear beloved: Pics, Living Water Primary School; Big Simba at Masai Mara (photo Encounter Team USA)

Esther 9:1 Now in the twelfth month, which is the month of Adar, on the thirteenth day of the same, when the kings's command and edict were about to be carried out, on the very day when the enemies of the Jews hoped to gain mastery over them, the reverse occurred; the Jews gained mastery over those who hated them. v2 The Jews gathered in their cities throughout all their provinces of King Ahasuerus to lay hands on those who had sought their harm.  And no one could stand against them, for the fear of them had fallen on all the peoples.

Beloved, it.s amazing the parallels of this conflict in Iran and the Book of Esther.  God's fingerprints are all over this battle, as it was launched at the time of the Feast of Purim, also a blood moon was in the sky at the very same date. The nation of Israel has named their part of the operation "Roaring Lion".  Please read the Book of Esther to find out the rest of the story.  Several years ago, on a plane flight from New York City to Doha, Qatar, God sat me beside a man who had fled Iran many years ago to escape the oppression of the regime.  He was now a naturalized citizen of the USA, living in Los Angeles, and was going back to an undisclosed location near Iran to meet with some family members who still lived there.  He told me he was praying fervently for the day we see today, when the people of Iran could have the hope of freedom, and the opportunity to worship the one true God openly without fear. We should never take for granted the freedoms we have here in the USA, the freedom of worship and assembly, and the freedom to speak out without persecution. We pray for a wave of revival to sweep over Iran and all the nations of the Middle East, a new day is dawning.

We invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts Ministry as we preach the freedom of Christ, it was for freedom that Chist has set us free. We have a good start on the Living Water Primary School project, I challenge every person reading this letter to make a generous donation towards that project. Many of the children attending will be muslim from the village of Makunda, it will be an opportunity to share the good news of the gospel with them. Pray about your part. If you have questions, you can email me at contact below. May God bless you as you pray!

Age of Evangelism

Dear beloved: pics;  Covid Freedom Crusade, Tanzania; Living Water Primary School construction, Makunda

Matthew 24:6  (Jesus)"And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. v7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. v8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. v13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved. v14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come."

Beloved, people have inquired of where I believe we are at on the end time calendar, especially in light of the recent attack on Iran by the USA and Israel. While I believe this is a very important event, not just militarily but also in setting back the antichrist agenda on the earth, I don't see any great prophetic implications to it such as the war of Ezekiel 38-39.  Many of the same players are involved now as will be in the future, but the timing is not right.  We have to be cautious and not fall into the trap of thinking every time Israel is in a battle that the end day return of Jesus is just a short time away.  We are to be ready, yes, but this isn't the time to head for a cave in the hills or sit in your rapture rocker all day long.  We are in the age of evangelism! When we start thinking evangelism, we get a deeper understanding what Jesus meant when He said, "Occupy until I come."(Luke 19:13)  We are to take territory from the devil, win souls, contend for righteousness. The above Scripture in Matt. 24:14 speakes volumes, "and the gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end shall come." Many people in Kenya and all over the world have not heard a clear presentation of the gospel, they are still waiting for someone to preach to them.  When Christians get busy doing that so the whole world has heard, then the end shall come.  We invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts Ministry as we preach the good news of the gospel to all the nations through our crusades, church outreaches, and radio broadcasts. Also the Primary School project in Makunda will be an evangelism outreach.  Pray about your part!

Feast of Purim

Dear beloved: Pics; Hardcore subfloor in place; Foundation for brick walls, Living Water Primary School

Esther 9:1 Now in the twelfth month, the month of Adar, on the thirteenth day, the time came for the kings's command and his decree (to kill the Jews) to be executed. On the day the enemies of the Jews hoped to overpower them, the opposite occurred, in that the Jews themselves overpowered those who hated them. v26 So they called these days Purim, after the name Pur (Lots). Therefore, because of all of the words of this letter, what they had seen concerning this matter, and what had happened to them, v27 The Jews established and imposed it upon themselves and their descendants and all who would join them, that without fail they should celebrate these two days every year; according to the written instructions and according to the prescribed time.

Beloved, there was a time in the days of the captivity of the Jewish remnant in Shusha (Iran) that God raised up a Jewish orphan girl name Esther, who became Queen Esther.  God placed her and her Uncle Mordecai in strategic positions to bring deliverance to the Jews. Their primary nemesis was Haman, the king's most powerful minister, who had decreed to hang Mordecai and kill all the Jews for rebellion to him.  Haman had a vile hatred for the Jews and wanted to "wipe them off the face of the earth". Does that sound familiar to the words we have been hearing from the leaders of Iran for the last several decades? On the very day that Haman had declared the Jews would be wiped out, the tables were turned on him and he and his sons were hung on the very gallows he had prepared for Mordecai and the Jews. Please read the story in the Book of Esther to get the full picture of how this all came about. Because of the joyful deliverance and destruction of their enemies, the  Jews initiated the Feast of Purim, which even today Jews celebrate annually, to remember and remind themselves of the faithfulness of God. This year, the Feast of Purim fell on March 2-3,  We invite you to support Gather the Outcasts Ministry as we take the good news of the Gospel the nations of Africa, the news that sets all the captives free for eternity. The spirit of God is moving in Africa, you can be a part of the sending army. Our school project is full speed ahead, contact me for details or make a generous donation.  May God bless you as you pray!

Judgment Seat of Christ

Dear beloved: pics:  Mbeya,Tanzania Crusade; Living Water Church construction, 2020

2 Corinthians 5:9 Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him. v10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in his body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. v11 Knowing therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are well known to God, and I also trust are well known in your consciences.

Beloved, our time and resources we have here on the earth are very precious commodities. For those of us who are born again believers, our time will not be measured so much by months and years, though that will be chiseled onto your gravestone. Much more importantly, your time will be measured by what you do with your life for the kingdom of God. The above Scripture says we will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ to make an account of what we did for the kingdom. This is not a judgment according to salvation, for that issue the condemnation has already been lifted off those who who confess Jesus as Lord and Savior.  This judgment will be according to the works that you participated in, or finished in your own body while on the earth.  The mission trips, the teaching Bible studies, the visiting of inmates in prison or sick in hospitals, the money earned and given to support the work of God all over the earth. Those are the acts that will be judged according to what you have done, good or bad. What have you done to show for your faith in God and your love for the kingdom?  Will it fill one page in a book, or a chapter, a whole book, or many books? The Bible says, "without faith it is impossible to please God." (Hebrews 11:6)  However, faith to move kingdom mountains isn't just about agreement, kingdom faith is evidenced by works.  "Faith without works is dead." (James 2:17) We invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts as we move out in faith to build a primary school in Makunda village in Kenya. This school will be a platform for good basic education, but also an opportunity to share the gospel with children of other religions. Pray about your part and ask the Lord what you can do.  May God bless you as you pray!

Keep Building

Dear beloved; pics, Revival service, Ngozi, Rurundi; concrete pour at Living Water Children's Home

Nehemiah 6:1 Now it happened when Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem the Arab, and the rest of our enemies heard that I had rebuilt the wall, and that there were no breaks in it (though at that time I had not hung the doors in the gates), v2 that Sanballat and Geshem sent to me saying, "Come, let us meet together among the villages in the plain of Ono." But they thought to do me harm. v3 So I sent messengers to them, saying, "I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down. Why should the work cease while I leave it and go down to you?"

Beloved, when you are doing the work of God, the devil will always show up with lots of distractions to try to get you sidetracked and give up the work. It may come in the form of lies and deceptions regarding agreements made with the enemy, or it may come in the form of discouragement from lack of funds, sickness, or weariness in the battle.  The Apostle Paul left us great encouragement in his letter to the Galatians, "and let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart." (Galatians 6:9).  What is it the Lord is calling you to build for His kingdom today?  It may be something personal, such as a stronger prayer life, more time spent in Bible study, or regular attendance at a local house of worship. Or He may actually be calling you to build a ministry, a church, a school, a clinic or medical facility. Whatever He is calling you to do, don't quit. KEEP BUILDING. What started for me as a dream many years ago, we now have 7 acres of land, a farm, children's home, church, pharmacy, and duka convenience store with posho mill. We are now in the process of building a school so the neighboring children will have a good place to get basic education.  We are building a kingdom stronghold in the interior of a Muslim village. Pray about your part in moving this school project along, no donation is too small or great.  May God bless you as you pray!

The Work is Great

Dear beloved: pics: Construction at LW Primary School; Spread the Love Funday at Kakamega

Nehemiah 4:16 So it was, from that time on, that half of my servants worked at construction, while the other half held the spears, the shields, the bows, and wore armor; and the leaders were behind all the house of Judah. v17 Those who built on the wall, and those who carried burdens, loaded themselves so that with one hand they worked at construction, and with the other held a weapon. v18 Every one of the builders had his sword girded at his side as he built. And the one who sounded the trumpet was beside me. v19 Then I said to the nobles, the rulers and the rest of the people, "The work is great and extensive, and we are separated far from one another on the wall. v20 Wherever you hear the the sound of the trumpet, rally to us here. Our God will fight for us."

Beloved, we have started on the construction of the Living Water Primary School of Makunda.  This will be a school for 200-300 children of Makunda village, many of whom drop out of school at grade 6 or 8, and there are some who don't even start school.  Besides providing a good basic education to the children, this will also be an evangelism opportunity, as we will be teaching Bible stories and singing songs about Jesus.  Many of the children of Makunda are of another faith, so they will be exposed to an environment they don't often experience. As Nehemiah proclaimed in the above Scripture, "Our God will fight for us", so too, the beginning of this school has been quite a spiritual battle. The battle will continue as we fight to complete it and get the first students enrolled.  We invite you to be a part of this project, don't wait until its finished and say with regret, "I wish I had jumped in on it."  When Nehemiah first heard that the walls of Jerusalem were destroyed, he sat down, wept, and mourned (fasted) for many days. He then asked the Lord for open doors and went into action.  So it is with our team at Living Water. We have wept, fasted, and prayed; now is the trumpet call for action. Pray about your part!  May God bless you as you pray.

Queen of Sheba

Dear beloved: pics, Digging footings for Children's Home 2016; Encounter Team USA praying over school site

`1 Chronicles 29:7 They gave for the service of the house of God 5,000 talents and 10,000 darics of gold, 10,000 talents of silver, 18,000 talents of bronze, and 100,000 talents of iron. v8 And whoever had precious stones gave them to the treasury of the house of the Lord, in the care of Jehiel the Gershonite. v9 Then the people rejoiced because they had given willingly, for with a whole heart they had offered freely to the Lord. David the king also rejoiced greatly.

Beloved, the stories recorded in the Old Testament of the offerings given so King Solomon could build a temple for the Lord, almost defy imagination.  At today's price of an ounce of gold, just the 5,000 talents given in the above Scripture equates to a value of over 33 billion dollars.  And that doesn't figure in the price of silver and all the other metals and precious stones. Surely the people were of one mind and one accord to give that much for a magnificent temple where the presence of the Lord would dwell. And Scripture also tells us that they gave freely and rejoiced because of the way they had blessed the Lord. the Lord loves a cheerful giver!  The pictures above show the story of the beginnings of the Living Water Children's Home in 2016. With great faith and few resources we built the beautiful home to bless the Lord and provide a shelter and rescue center for the abandoned and orphaned children of Kenya. Even today we have 25 children living in the house as a testimony to our commitment.  We are now also embarking on building a primary school for the children of Makunda village.  It is situated on two acres of land next to the Children's Home, and will provide a basic education in a wholesome Christian environment.  Would you pray about your part in helping us build this school?  One bag of cement is about $10, you can purchase 50 bags for $500.  One piece of Y10 steel is about $7, so $100 will buy about fifteen bars of steel.  We are trusting God for 300k to take all three buildings of the project to completion. This school will stand as a testimony to the people of Makunda and Kenya of the faithfulness of God's people to see the Lord's work go forward in Kenya. In this part of Kenya, houses of worship of another faith are sprouting up like mushrooms. Let the work of the Lord God of Creation go forward with haste!  Contact me for details if you have questions on the project.  May God bless you as you pray.

Wealth of Gold

Sow to the Spirit

Dear beloved: Pics; Nakivale Refugee Camp, Uganda; Mbeya year two, Tanzania Crusade

Galatians 6:6 Let the one who is taught the word share all good things with the one who teaches. v7 Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. v8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

Beloved, Apostle Paul is talking about making deposits, either in the realm of the flesh or the realm of the Spirit. In another verse he says the same, "the Spirit gives life, but the flesh profits nothing. The words I have given you are spirit and life." (John 6:63)  When you make deposits in your spiritual life, you reap spiritual rewards. That is God's plan for your life, that you keep increasing to receive greater rewards. When someone invests teaching, prayer, intercession, or helps in your life, it is good to bless that person in return. Whatever you sow, that you will also reap. As we move into the new year 2026, there will be a time of testing for each person, as well as a time for rewards. The enemy will try to get you to invest more in the flesh, but the Spirit of God will beckon you to invest in the Spirit.  Faithful is He who calls you, and He will see it come to pass. (1 Thess. 5:24).  This verse isn't an encouragement to be passive, but simply to know God is with you, and will help you to reach your destiny. God works through you and in you by the Holy Spirit!  We invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts Ministry as we make deposits in the Spirit in the people of Africa. Many people in Kenya and Africa are out in the wilderness. What did you go out into the wilderness to see, a reed shaken by the wind? May God bless you as you pray!

Quenching the Spirit

Dear beloved: pics, Living Water Church 75th Anniversary; Mbeya Crusade, TZ with Bony Mwaitege

1 Thess 5:16 Rejoice always, v17  Pray without ceasing. v18 In every thing give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. v19 Quench not the Holy Spirit v20 Do not despise prophecies. v21 Prove all things, hold fast to that which is good.

Beloved, Apostle Paul closes out his letter to the church at Thessalonica by giving them a series of short admonitions, or encouragement along with instruction,  One of the short adomonitions seemed to be very important to him- do not quench the Holy Spirit.  Any good blacksmith or welder can tell you about quenching the heat in metals, it is done with metals that have been heated to red or white hot.  The way the metals are quenched will determine the future strength or brittleness of the steel.  Quenching the Spirit leads to spiritual dullness, to the point saying no to the Holy Spirit becomes routine. Comfortzone and convenience take precedence over the urging of the Spirit.  Quenching in the human realm takes many forms, including busyness and workaholism, smothering the Spirit with idols such as sports, foods, certain beverages, or anything that prevents us from stoking the fire.   God wants to call us higher and higher in the kingdom as we go through life.  As we go higher, the blessings are greater but the persecution also is great. However, for those who pursue the call, great is their reward in heaven.   We invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts as we take the fire of the Holy Spirit to the nations of Africa.  We desire to be firestarters!  Pray about your part in making a monthly recurring donation, or a one time generous offering.  As you send we can go.  May God bless you as you pray!

Crossing Over

Dear beloved: pics: LW Children on excursion to waterfalls; Butere Crusade, Kakamega County, Kenya

Joshua 1:7 "Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. v8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it.  For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. v9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord is with you wherever you go."

Beloved, Joshua begins to sound like a football coach as he encourages the team preparing for the second half comeback.  But Joshua is preparing the children of Israel for something of much greater significance, to go into the promised land and claim their inheritance after sojourning forty long years in the desert. Now Moses is dead, and the responsibility to lead two million people falls on the shoulders of Joshua. Four times in Chapter 1, Joshua exhorts with the words, "Be strong and courageous."  Joshua knew of the giants in the land, for he and Caleb had seen them when they spied out the land many years before. The other ten spies cowered in fear, "We are like grasshoppers in their sight"; but Joshua and Caleb said, "it is a good land and the Lord will be with us."  Noted also, twice Joshua says that if they stay close to the Law, and the Book of the Law, that they will prosper wherever they go.  As we cross into 2026, may you also be strong and courageous to take the land of promises the Lord has for your life.  Every blessing the blood of Jesus made available for you, may you receive it this year!  We invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts Ministry as we take the message of hope to the nations of Africa.  We appreciate your prayers and support.  We need more monthly partners as well as single generous gifts.  Even $50 per month will accomplish a lot in Africa. As you send we can go.  May God bless you as you pray!

A Child is Born

Dear beloved: pics: Four buddies at LW Children's Home;  Mbeya, TZ Crusade

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder, and His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. v7 Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice, from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

The Prophet Isaiah spoke about a coming King who would sit on the throne of David to order it and establish it forever.  Jesus, coming as a baby born to a virgin in a manger in Bethlehem (House of Bread), was the fulfillment of all these beautiful and majestic prophecies. Even today, nearly two thousand years later, the increase of His government and peace is still going forward.  Coming from a small town in Western Kansas, I never imagined going into remote villages in Congo and Burundi, and moreso to find the Spirit of God moving, and people hungry to hear the wonderful message that Jesus saves. As long as there are people who are willing to go, the good news of the gospel will be preached as a witness to all the nations, and then the end shall come. Beloved, our job is to occupy until He comes. Focus on sharing your testimony and telling somebody about Jesus. We invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts Ministry as we share the Christmas story with people here in East Africa. The true Christmas story is all about this: "For God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."  Thank you for your prayers and support, may God bless you as you pray!

the Great Commission

Dear Beloved: pics: Tarime, TZ Crusade; Children's Feeding/Funday at Living Water Children's Home

Mark 16:14 Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. v15 And He said to them, "Go unto all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. v16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned. v17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues."

Beloved, the sign of a person who is sold out to Jesus is that they want to go and share the gospel. That is God's greatest plan for evangelism and world wide revival. Those who believe must be willing to sacrifice to take the message to those who have never heard it, or have heard it and still the unbelief keeps them from accepting. Jesus said, "there is no one who leaves their farm, home, business, mother or father, for My namesake and the sake of the gospel, who shall not receive a hundredfold blessing in this time, with persecutions- and in the age to come, eternal life." (Mark 10:29).  As we approach the end of the calendar year, we appeal to you to make a generous year end offering to the Lord for the sake of spreading the gospel here in Kenya and East Africa. The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.  We will be conducting a crusade December 18-20. near Butere, Kenya. Our budget for the crusade is $2000. We also would like to give the children some nice gifts as we approach Christmas, take them swimming and give them a bit of extra special joy to let them know people care about them.  We also have bigger projects in mind, such as building a primary school to give the children of Makunda village a good education in a Christian environment.  Pray about your part in all these endeavors. Our thanks go out to each and every one of you, without your support and the blessings of God we can do nothing.  May God bless you as you pray.

Five Fold Ministry

Dear beloved:  Pics:  Burundi Crusade; Preaching to Masai Refugees at Tanzania border

Ephesians 4:9  (Apostle Paul) "Now He that ascended, what does it mean but that He also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? v10 He who descended is the same also who ascended up far above all heavens, that He might fill all things. v11 And He gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, v12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God....."

Beloved, God in His infinite wisdom had His Son Jesus pass out the structural or ministry gifts at the beginning of the New Testament Church.  These gifts were distributed and made available to all mankind at the beginning of the Church age, when Jesus was leading the captives out of their captivity to sit with Him in heaven.  These gifts form the structure, the framework, the pillars that hold up the Body of Christ worldwide, as well as in the local church. For those who earnestly hunger and seek the Lord, and desire to serve Him, He has a place and an office in the five fold, according to their unique personality, heart, and human characteristics.  Above all else God knows the heart. That is how He ended up choosing David the shepherd boy, over all the more appealing older brothers, to be the eventual King and sweet Psalmist of Israel. Even today, God is raising up a new generation of leaders to be the vanguard in the coming world wide revival.  I believe there will be an unprecedented harvest of souls as a result of renewed fire burning in the young people across the earth. We are seeing the beginning of it on college campuses across the USA, and we see it here in Kenya also.  Many of the youth of Kenya love to pray, preach, and worship the Lord in song and dance.  We invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts as we partner with the youth to stoke the fire of evangelism and kingdom harvest here in Kenya and East Africa.  Pray about your part, as you send we can go!   May God bless you as you pray!

Word is Power

 a

Dear beloved: pics: altar call at Sabatia Crusade; Mbeya, TZ Crusade

Mark 5:2   And when Jesus had come out of the boat, immediately there met Him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, v3 who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no one could bind him, not even with chains. v6 When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him. v7 And he cried out with a loud voice and said, "What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God that you do not torment me" v8 For Jesus said to him, "Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!"

Beloved, we see in the Scripture above, the man with the unclean spirit run to Jesus and worship him, knowing in his heart and spirit that Jesus was the only hope he had for deliverance from the torment he was living in. Even without introduction he knew by the anointing that Jesus was the Son of the Most High God.  Last week at a crusade I was preaching in Sabatia, Kenya, a drunkard came off the nearby road and came crashing up to the altar.  In his current condition he was barely able to stand, as you can see in the picture above I am helping him to stay upright. The rest of the story is that we prayed for him for several minutes and cast the demons of drunkenness and rebellion out of him, and eventually he settled down and was in his right mind. We always say in giving the invitation at a crusade, come as you are, Jesus is more than able to carry your burdens and cleanse you of unrighteousness.  "For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, even to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart." (Hebrews 4:12)  The word is power!   We invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts Ministry, as we preach the blood of Jesus, the power of God to save, to deliver, to set the captives free. How can we preach unless we are sent?  Pray about your part in promoting the Gospel in Kenya and beyond in Africa.  May God bless you as you pray.

Dear beloved: Pics: 2018 LW Church meeting in children's home; Living Water Church 2025

Hebrews 10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. v23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. v24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, v25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the habit of some, but exhorting one another, and so much more as you see the Day approaching.

Beloved, this coming week we will be celebrating our Seventh Anniversary in Living Water Church of Makunda.  We began with humble beginnings, meeting first on the veranda of the Children's Home, then inside the Home, then into our present church building constructed in 2021.  What a journey it has been been.  Am so thankful for the pastors and leaders of our church, they have all given of themselves sacrificially to see the church grow and thrive.  We have overcome many challenges, first and foremost the location of Makunda which is predominately a muslim village, then also the need for much elemental teaching due to the fact most of our members came out of that faith. But we give thanks to the Lord, Ebenezer, for He has brought us this far.  In the above Scripture, the Apostle Paul encourages belivers to assemble themselves together in the local church, the Body of Christ, meeting to encourage, love, and strengthen each other.  The Lord Jesus is the head, we are the body.  And Paul says we are to be even more diligent in meeting as we see the Day of our Lord's return approaching. We invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts Ministry as we preach and teach the gospel of our Lord here in Kenya.  We also now have three partner churches operating under our registration, so our impact is being felt in other locations in Kakamega Country. Pray about your part in helping us move the gospel forward.  May God bless you as you pray!

Living Water

Dear beloved: pics: Finished roof painting; Altar call, Kirundo Burundi Crusade

John 7:37 "On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. v38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water." v39 By this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

Beloved, the greatest invitation ever given was given by the Lord Himself, when he invited all who thirst to come and receive the living water. Beyond that, He said in the Sermon on the Mount, "blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled."  To be filled with cold water from our spring at the Living Water Children's Home on a hot Kenya day is immensely satisfying, imagine how much more fulfilling it is to be filled for all eternity with the true living water.  About twenty years ago, in a time of intense praying and fasting, the Lord caught me up to heaven and sat me down beside the river of living water coming down from the mountain of God. (Rev. Chapter 22) It looked like liquid diamonds as it came dancing across the rocks toward me, the brightness of the Lord God causing sparkles as bright as the sun to bounce off the rocks. Then an angel handed me a pitcher, and I was allowed to drink.  Over and over I dipped the pitcher into the river until I filled myself with the wonderful water. In the Scripture above, John writes that Jesus was speaking about the infilling of the Holy Spirit, which was poured out on all mankind on the day of Pentecost. That river of water is still available today to all who will come, the only requirement is to repent and say yes to Jesus.                                                                We invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts Ministry as we take the message of the living water to the thirsty souls of Africa.  We need more monthly partners, as well as year end gifts to help us with the many projects we have going on. Pray about your part. May God bless you as you pray!

Let the Children Come

Dear beloved: Pics: Funday Village girl jumping rope; Mama Everline with children playing ball

Mark 10:13  Then they brought liitle children to Jesus, that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked those who brought them. v14 But when Jesus saw it, He was greatly displeased and said to them, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God. v15 Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it."

Beloved, Our Lord Jesus has a special place in His heart for the children. Because of their innocence, their purity and faith, it is easier to preach the gospel to children than it is grown adults. Children don't have the baggage and bondage that older people gather as they journey through life, that is why Jesus warned people they must become as as a child to receive the kingdom of God. The pictures above, taken during our twice monthly Funday, tell a story of Makunda village. If you look at the way the children are dressed, you can easily discern two things: one, they are from poor families, and two, some come from other religions.  Our Funday is a great evangelism outreach; in addition to feeding a good meal and playing games, we always teach Bible stories. We are prepping the children for their walk later in life. We are also prepping them for the Living Water Primary School that we are planning to build on the same plot they are playing on today. The school will give 200-300 students a good basic education, and at the same time be an evangelistic tool to reach childen of all faiths. We are trusting the Lord for $300,000 to complete the project, but even a portion will allow us to get started and get the ball rolling. We have the architect plans approved, building permit, and a crew waiting to go to work.  Pray about your part in seeing this great project come to life. All donations are tax deductible, we are a 501c3 non- profit ministry in USA, also registered with Societies Regisitration in Kenya.  Contact me for details. May God bless you as you pray!
