Intercessors Arise
Dear beloved: Plans are moving ahead full speed for the mission to Africa. I will be leaving Kansas City August 24th, and returning about the 18th of September. If this is your first visit to this blog, check recent posts concerning the purpose and callings of the this mission. Suffice it to say that I believe God has appointed me to bring a word for leaders in the nations of Kenya and the Republic of Congo, in the church fellowships and crusades that I will be conducting.
I am calling forth intercessors to step up and intercede for this mission, for the possibility exists for this mission to have nation building ramifications. I need many to stand in the gap for the success of this mission, that the word of God will prevail in the hearts of the pastors and church leaders, as well as the politcial leaders that I will be meeting with during the trip.
In the war with the Amalekites, Exodus 17:9 Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out and fight with Amalek: tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand. v10 So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. V11 And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. v12 But Moses hands were heavy: and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur held up his hands, the one on one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. v13 And Joshua defeated Amaled and his people with the edge of the sword. So you see God has some in the pitch of the battle, others as generals of the battle plan, and still others who are there to intercede and hold up those who are in battle.
If you are an intercessor and feel a call to intercede in the battle to rebuild the Republic of Congo, send me an email and I will put you on the list to keep you updated on what is going on as I go from place to place and see the prayer needs firsthand. Send me an email at pureprairie@hotmail.com and let me know you would like to be on the email list.. God bless you, in Christ, Jim

Africa Mission Update
Dear beloved: The time is rapidly approaching for the crusade mission to Africa, a time for soul winning and reaching out to those who are lost and in need of a Shepherd. If you have been following this blog at all you know that the Lord has opened doors for me to preach in Kenya and in the Republic of Congo. Two cruades, each of five nights, are planned. The first in Mumias, Kenya, with Pastor Lucas Obanda, with pastor training for 100 pastors in the west Kenya area; the second, in Goma, Republic of Congo, will have pastor support and training for about 400-500 pastors and will be with Pastor Boniface Mosoti of Nairobi, Kenya.
If you are reading this blog, know that God has brought you here for a reason. We have a projected budget of about $20,000 for the three weeks of travel, as well as permit purchase, arena rental, sound rental, and advertising posters and flyers. This is a no-frills budget as evangelism budgets go, and it will allow me to get the essentials accomplished that the Lord has opened the door for. His desire, and mine also, is for thousands to come into the Kingdom, the time is growing short for all those who are lost to hear the good news of the gospel. Would you be a part of this historic mission and help me to get the word out to the people in Africa?
Jesus said in Luke 6:38, "Give, and it shall be given to you, good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, they will pour into your lap. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return." And in the sermon on the mount, He spoke again about giving into the Kingdom. Matthew 6:19 "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. v20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; v21 for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." Beloved, pray about your part in moving the Kingdom of God forward in Africa, seeing thousands come into the Kingdom. God bless you, in Christ, Jim

Speak Concerning the Drought
Dear beloved: The dry hot summer has everyone concerned about drought and the long term effects on the cost and availability of food. Not only will it effect food prices, but also the cost of fuel because of the lack of available corn for ethanol production, as well as the ripple effect through the whole economy as grain and fiber production are curtailed. Jeremiah 14:1 The word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah concerning the drought. v2 Judah mourns, and the gates of her languish; they are black unto the ground; the the cry of Jerusalem has gone up. v3 The nobles have sent their little ones to fetch water; they come to the pits and found no water; they returned with their vessels empty; they were ashamed and confounded, and covered their heads. v4 Because the ground is parched, for there is no rain on the earth, the plowmen were ashamed, they covered their heads. v5 Yes, the deer also calved in the fields, and forsook it, because there was no grass.
Many people are wringing their hands, anxiety quickens in them just as it did in the days of Jeremiah. Without rain, everything languishes, everything suffers; not only for now but maybe for a long time to come, depending on the duration of the drought. In verse 7 Jeremiah acknowledges that sin is a part of the equation: Oh Lord, though our iniquities testify against us, bring us rain for Thy name's sake; for our backslidings are many; we have sinned against Thee. He goes on to plead with the Lord in verse 8, Lord, don't be a stranger in the land, and again in verse 9, Lord, we are called by Your name; leave us not.
The Lord answers Jeremiah, and He tells him that the people have loved to wander. v10Thus saith the Lord to this people, they have loved to wander, they have not refrained their feet, therefore the Lord does not accept them; He will now remember their iniquity, and visit their sins. Beloved, we need to acknowledge our sins and ask the Lord to forgive us of our shedding the innocent's blood, and our continued celebration of perversion and immorality in our homes, media, and government. Lord, we cry out to you, forgive us our sins; we do not fear You as we should; we do not seek You as we should. Lord, we cannot make even one drop of rain fall, therefore, we cry out to the One who can. Beloved, get down on your knees today and cry out to the Lord. God bless you as you pray today. in Christ, Jim

Pure and Undefiled Religion
Pure and Undefiled Religion
Dear beloved: The book of James chapter 1:27 tells us this: "This is pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father; to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world." And in Matthew 18 Jesus talks of the place of children in His kingdom. v1 At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, "who then is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?" v2 And He called a child to Himself and set him before them, v3 and said, " Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children you shall not enter the kingdom of heaven. v4 "Whoever then humbles himself as this child, he is the greatest of the kingdom of heaven. v5 And whoever receives one such child in My name receives Me; v6 but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it is better for him that a heavy millstone be hung around his neck, and that he be drowned in the depth of the sea." And again in Matthew 19:14 Jesus said, "Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." So we can see from these passages of scripture that Jesus places children in the highest place in His kingdom.
The opportunity has arisen for me to help build an orphanage in west Kenya, near the city of Mumias, that will house and school 40 children who have been orphaned because of the AIDS epidemic in Africa. The land for the orphanage has already been secured, and a good well is on the property, so all that is needed is the money for construction and yearly operating expenses. The estimated cost for construction is only $20,000 and operating expenses for the first year are projected to be about $3,000, a real bargain when you consider that the adoption of just one child from a foreign country can easily cost that much or more. This is a kingdom opportunity for someone reading this blog, and God has brought you here for this purpose, to raise up orphans and give them a good home, cared for in a loving Christian environment that will allow them to fulfill their destiny for which God created them.
If you are reading this and feel pierced in your heart please pray about your part in moving the kingdom forward in this project. Contact me at www.pureprairie@hotmail.com for more details and also pictures of the children. I will be going to Kenya in late August and would like to take a check with me, or have someone accompany me who could present a check to the pastor who will oversee the orphanage. Do something mighty for the kingdom, store up your treasures in heaven, and you will be blessed accordingly. May God bless you as you pray and answer His call today. In Christ, Jim

Open Door in the Congo
Dear beloved: I have just been given an open door by the Lord to conduct a crusade in the Republic of Congo, being sponsored by a local pastors association of up to 500 pastors. This will be a several night crusade in the open air accompanied by praise bands and many prayer warriors. This is a great open door that has been made possible because of the prayers of the faithful for this ministry. Matthew 28:19 Go unto all the nations, baptizing in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you, and lo, I will be with you always, even unto the end of the age.
Please pray that God would provide the necessary provision to go forward with this crusade, as well as the others in Kenya and Mt. Kilimanjaro. When the Lord gives a vision, He also provides for it. Please pray that the provision will come forward quickly. I am thankful for all of the people reading this blog, if you are new to this blog know that God has brought you here for a purpose. Isaiah 52:7 How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, "Your God Reigns!"
Please go to my website http://www.gathertheoutcasts.com/ and look on the videos of last year's crusades in Mumias, Kenya, and Kibera-Nairobi, Kenya. The Lord wants to bring in an even greater harvest this year. If you would like to help contribute to this year's crusade, contact me at pureprairie@hotmail.com, or drop me a line at Gather the Outcasts Ministry, Box 92, Norton, Kansas 67654. And pray for the windows of heaven to open up and the Lord to pour out a blessing so great I can't even hold it all. May God bless each and every one of you as you pray about your part in bringing in the harvest for the kingdom. God bless you, Jim

Arrogance Has Blossomed
Dear beloved: Now more than ever before, it is time for all who call themselves followers of Christ to get their feet planted firmly upon the rock Jesus. God has been speaking to me recently to reaffirm the dreams and visions that He has given me over the past several years about the shaking that is coming to America, and to the whole world. The restructuring of the economies of the world is beginning to take place, with the meltdown of several European nations imminent, followed by a dominoe effect that will come all the way to a bank near you, then eventually to your doorstep. You will see this begin to take place within a few months, as the medicine being doled out to the countries of Europe will be too strong for them to handle, and they will capitulate back to their spendthrift ways that will make the people happy, but will lead to an even more rapid demise.
Ezekiel 7:2 "And you, son of man, thus says the Lord God to the land of Israel, an end! The end is coming on the four corners of the land. v3 "Now the end is upon you, and I shall send My anger against you; I shall judge you according to your ways, and I shall bring all your abominations upon you. v4 For My eye shall have no pity on you, nor shall I spare you, but I shall bring your ways upon you, and your abominations will be among you; then you will know that I am the Lord!" v5 "Thus says the Lord God, A disaster, unique disaster, behold it is coming! v10 Behold the day! Behold, it is coming! Your doom has gone forth; the rod has budded, arrogance has blossomed. v11 Violence has grown into a rod of wickedness. None of them shall remain, none of their multitude, none of their wealth, nor anything eminent among them. v15 The sword is outside, and the plague and the famine are within. He who is in the field will die by the sword; famine and the plague will also consume those in the city."
We know that God was faithful to His word and to His prophet Ezekiel, that what He said He would do, He did. The southern kingdom of Judah was carried off into captivity for 70 years for their rebellion and failure to turn from their stubborn and wicked ways. God has been crying out through the prophets of this land also; He has pulled out all the stops to get people to hear Him and turn from their wicked ways. The current administration is part of the beginning of God's judgment on this land. The unashamed promotion of killing of the innocents through abortion, the glorification of perversion through the sanctioning of homosexuality and homosexual "marriage", and the continued push against Israel to give into the demands of their enemies; all this and more give ample indication that arrogance has blossomed. Beloved, God wants us to know that He is the Lord. Ezekiel 7:27 " The king will mourn, the prince will be clothed with horror, and the hands of the people will tremble. According to their conduct, I shall deal with them, and by their judgments I shall judge them. and they will know that I am the Lord." Let us heed the warning and pray that God will once again show us mercy. Pray for this land and for your family that they would come to know that He is Lord. God bless you, Jim

Words of Knowledge Lead to Healings
Dear beloved: I have been teaching a series on gifts of the Holy Spirit the last 2 months at the prison, and recently we have been focused on the gifts of healing. 1 Corinthians 12:9 to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit. At a recent callout meeting at the prison, the Lord began the service by giving me several words of knowledge about physical and spiritual ailments that afflicted some of the men in the room. 1 Corinthians 12:8 For one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same spirit. I have found over the years that when the Lord gives a word of knowledge about a condition, that His intention is to give a healing also so that His power may be revealed not only in the original word but in the healing. God is so great and cares about us so much He wants to see us healed and made whole in every way. Of course, for our part we must be obedient not only in speaking out the word of knowledge, but those for whom the word is intended must be obedient in coming forth for prayer.
One of the words of knowledge was for someone who had a pinched nerve or compression fracture of a disc in his back that was causing him lots of pain. I spoke it out and one of the men came down and we laid hands on him and prayed for his healing. Last night this same man gave his testimony about how the Lord had healed him that night of a chronic back problem that dated back to 1997, when he twisted his back while lifting a heavy hot tub spa on the job where he was working. He testified that when we laid hands on him, he instantly received a healing of the pain, and it has not bothered him since that original meeting.
Often times our pride blocks healing. We are too proud to admit we are in pain, or that we need help, or even that some man may know from God our situation, even though in our inward man we know it to be the truth.
In 2 Kings 5:1, we read about a man named Naaman who was a captain of the army of the king of Aram, who was a great man and highly respected, and a valiant warrior, but he had leprosy. He had a servant girl in his house who was from Israel, and she knew about the healing powers of the Lord's prophet Elisha, who was in Israel. v9 So Naaman came with his horses and his chariots, and stood at the doorway of the house of Elisha. v10 And Elisha sent a messenger to him saying, "Go wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall be restored to you and you shall be clean." v11 But Naaman was furious and went away and said, "Behold, I thought, he will surely come out to me, and stand and call on the name of the LOrd his God, and wave his hand over this place, and cure the leper." v12" Are not Abanah and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Could I not wash in them and be clean?" So he turned and went away in a rage.
So we see he was first furious at the man of God, and then went away in a rage, all signs that his pride was getting in the way of him receiving his healing. But when he got home, his servants got him straightened out and humbled him to show him how childish his actions had been. v13 Then his servants came near and spoke to him and said, " My father, had the prophet told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it?" How much more then, when he says to you, "Wash, and be clean". 14 So Naaman went down and dipped himself seven times in the Jordan, according to the word of the man of God; and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.
Many times all we need to do is just humble ourselves before the Lord to receive the healing we are asking for. Ask the Lord today where you need cleansing, and what in you needs humbling. Naaman testified in verse 16 that the God of Israel was the only God in all the earth. Praise God He was then and still is! God bless you as you pray today, in Christ, Jim www.gathertheoutcasts.com

Declaration of Dust
Dear beloved: I have recently been reading in the book of Jeremiah as part of my read through the Bible in a year program, and at the very time I was in Jeremiah the President of the United States came out with a declaration of support for homosexual marriage in the United States of America. And just as Jeremiah was grieved in his spirit and became known as the "weeping prophet", so too, was I grieved in my spirit and began to weep over this land. Jeremiah 2:7 and I (God) brought you into a beautiful country, to eat the fruit therof and the goodness thereof; but when you entered, you defiled my land, and made My heritage an abomination. v8 The priests said not, Where is the Lord? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit. v11 Has a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? But My people have changed their glory for that which does not profit. v12 Be astonished, o heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, says the Lord. v13. For My people have committed two evils; they have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.
As I was sitting on the porch of my house reading and praying for our country and for our President, a truck went by on the dirt road in front of the house, raising a huge cloud of dust into the air(it is quite dry here). The dust slowly drifted down and settled on every foot of land, on the trees, and even on the roof of the house. And the Lord said to me "this dust is like the declaration that has come forth from the President over this land, it is as filth that settles on every foot of land, every house, and every person in this land". I felt in my spirit there is no escaping it, as if to say we can all run to take a shower and wash it off, but it can't be washed off, as soon as we step out of the shower we will be covered with filth again.
Proverbs 29:2 When the righteous reign the people rejoice; but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn. Beloved, those who know the truth of God's word are mourning now, as the leader of this great nation speaks for this nation to the world and over this land with his decrees. His words have cast a pall over this land. Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people. Beloved, pray that the Lord will turn the heart of this man in the Oval Office to Him, that the Lord will open his eyes and circumcise his heart to see the truth before it is too late to turn back. Jeremiah 7:15 I (God) will cast you out of My sight, as I have cast out all your brethren, even the whole seed of Ephraim. v16 Therefore, pray not for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to Me: for I will not hear thee. Beloved, intercede for this land while there is still time. May God bless you this day as you pray. in Christ, Jim
