Mark 5:6 When he (Gadarene demoniac) saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him. v7 And he cried out, with a loud voice and said, "What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God that You do not torment me." V8 For Jesus said to him, "Come out of the man, unclean spirit!" v9 Then He asked him, "What is your name?" And he answered, saying, "My name is Legion, for we are many." v10 The he begged Him earnestly that He would not send them out of the country.
Beloved, one of the more beautiful moves of God that we consistently see in the crusades is people getting deliverance from witchcraft and other types of demonic oppression. Can people receive deliverance in a minute, in a heartbeat? In the above scripture, Jesus casts out the unclean spirits and sends them into a herd of swine. Legion, formerly a dysfunctional, violent outcast living among the tombs, is then seen sitting and clothed, and in his right mind. And the people who had known him were now afraid. (v15) When the Holy Spirit and the power of God show up, the demons have to flee, they do not have the authority to stay when they are commanded to go. Jesus said in Luke 4:18, " I came to to proclaim liberty to the captives, recovery of sight to the blind, and to set at liberty those who are oppressed." We are seeing all this happen at Gather the Outcasts crusades. All glory goes to God, it is the power of the God to save and deliver. Apostle Paul said it in 1 Corinthians 2:4, "And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstrations of the Spirit and power; that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God." Thank you for your prayers and support for the gospel crusades. We are planning to go back to Tanzania in January for crusades in Arusha. Back on the home front in Kenya, we are embarking on a project to build a posho mill (maize flour) business for the church to benefit the people of Makunda village. We need $2,000 to bring in electricity and purchase all the necessary equipment. Pray about your part in helping us get it up and going. May God bless you as you pray!
