People Get Ready

Dear beloved:  After posting the dream about the tornado and what I believe to be some type of coming destruction to America this summer, I received emails from several people who had also received similar type dreams.  The Lord is speaking to His prophets to warn the people, to tell the people to get ready.  America is under judgment and there may be one event or a series of events that will shake this nation.  However the severity or intensity of the destruction can be lessened, or in the case of terrorist plots, may be exposed and thwarted, depending on the prayers of the saints.

Amos 3:7 tells us, "Surely the Lord does nothing without warning His servants the prophets."  And so the prophets are being warned, to let the people know to get ready, both in the natural as well as the spiritual realm.  I would recommend that if you do not already have some food and water stored up, that you do that. Ask the Holy Spirit how much you should store up.  It should at least be enough to feed yourself and your family for a month or so, that would be the minimum to ensure you can make it though a breakdown in the normal flow of goods and services.

In the most recent dream I was given by the Lord, I believe one of the events may be an earthquake that may cause significant damage and disruption.  In the dream, I was driving in the country and came to giant fissures or crevasses in the land.  It definitely looked as if an earthquake had pulled the land apart.  I was pulling a trailer that had a bale of alfalfa on it, again I believe the Lord was pointing toward summer, as I have just recently planted my farm ground to alfalfa. We will be bailing it in July to September. As I was trying to navigate through the fissures, I had to cross a narrow spit of land to get from one place to another.  As I went across, the spit of land gave way and I just barely made it across, but I was able to get my truck across and get on solid ground.  Then I lashed some ropes and cables onto the truck and pulled it with the trailer up onto solid ground.  I also passed a man who was walking by and carrying a couple of empty gas cans.  So I believe the Lord was showing me the gas supplies were going to be disrupted.  So you may want to store up some gas if you feel like you might need some for a generator, motorcycle, or vehicle that you need.

More than physical preparations, it is important that you be ready spiritually.  2 Peter 3:10 tells us that the day of the Lord will come like a thief.  Since you don't know when a thief comes, neither will you know when the Lord is going to come back to gather up His church, or to take you home.   The best advice for anyone is to be ready!  God is going to shake the heaven and the earth, and only those things which cannot be shaken will remain.  Build your hopes and plans on the kingdom of God, then you will not be shaken by what takes place.  May God bless you as you pray,  in Christ, Jim

Warning Dream of Destruction Coming

Dear beloved:   A couple of months ago while fasting and praying for America and for the Gather the Outcasts Ministry, the Lord gave me a warning dream that I want to share with you.  He gave me this dream to share in the hope that the saints of God would take the warning and intercede for this country.  It is also a warning to those who are living a life that is not pleasing to the Lord, that they would be given time to turn from their wicked ways and seek the Lord. It is the duty of the watchman to warn the people when the Lord gives him warning.

Ezekiel 33:6 But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at the watchman's hand. Ezekiel 33:11 Say to them, "As I live," says the Lord God, " I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live.  Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?"

In the dream I was standing in Norton looking to the west, when I saw a huge storm start to brew, with angry, billowing clouds gathered up.  From those clouds a giant tornado funnel dropped down and touched the earth, it was at that time about six miles west of town. It started to move towards town, and I was fearful and thought, "How can I warn the people?"  I believe the Lord may have given me a sense of timing, there were three scenes in the dream that relate to summer activities here in Kansas.  The first scene, combines were in a wheat field, they started to move very quickly when they saw the storm start to gather.  The second scene, I am in Norton selling tomatoes, generally a July to October activity around here. From that vantage point I could see the tornado drop down on the western horizon.  The third scene, I am carrying a bag of alfalfa seed, most likely for planting, though it could also be from a seed harvest.

I believe this dream is for America, not necessarily for Norton or myself.  It may involve an attack of some kind against this country, or some other type of destruction.  I was reminded of the dream yesterday as we seeded alfalfa on my farm.  I have also planted tomatoes and the wheat will be ready for harvest in a couple of months.  Please be in prayer that as a nation we would turn from our wicked ways, cry out to the Lord for forgiveness, and that He would hear our prayer, forgive our sin, and heal our land. If anyone receives any kind of confirmation to this, please let me know.  God bless you as you pray, in Christ, Jim     pureprairie@hotmail.com    www.gathertheoutcasts.com

Kenya Orphanage Challenge Donation Met

Dear beloved:   I have good news to report about the challenge grant of $2,500 that was offered by a generous donor for the Living Water Orphanage Project.  We have reached the $2,500 and beyond, we have now taken in over $4,000 in response to the grant. Thank you very much to all who have donated this past month to meet this challenge, we continue to progress in our goal of having the money to build the orphanage this summer.  Praise God for all the generous saints!
The saints in Kenya have become more fearful because of the slaughter of 148 students at Garissa University in northern Kenya. The Gospel must be preached!  The soul of the nation of Kenya lies in the balance.  To provide 50 orphan children with a good home in the Living Water Orphanage will be a victory for the kingdom of God.  These children will be fed and sheltered and taught about Jesus Christ, the lover of their soul. This is the greatest weapon against the lies of Al-Shabab and the sex traffickers.
We hope to have the deed to the property in west Kenya this week!  We can then move forward with well drilling and the construction.  I will let you know when the deed has been transferred. If you would like to give to this project, you can make a donation to Gather the Outcasts Orphanage Project, Box 92, Norton, Ks.  67654.  To make a tax deductible dontation, send your check to Gather the Outcasts Orphanage Project, in care of Norton Christian Church, 208 N. Kansas, Norton, Ks. 67654.You can also make a donation with your credit card on my website at www.gathertheoutcasts.com  May God bless you as you pray about how God can use you in this great kingdom project. In Christ, Jim

Prepare for Persecution

Dear beloved:  The body of Christ here in America has been for the most part spared of any major persecution that is experienced by many Christians in other parts of the world.  But that is beginning to change, and the rapid acceleration of the government and others coming against Christians is just a sign of the end times.  The battle is heating up, beloved, and I want to prepare you for what is yet to come.  Laws being enacted (primarily through court decree) will make it illegal for Christians to speak the word of the Lord in the public square.  Hate speech and other modes of attack will force Christians to have to make a decision whether they are going to stand for the kingdom of God, or the kingdom of the devil.

Jesus spoke in Matthew 5:10 "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.  v11 Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. v12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you."

So none of this is a surprise to our Lord, He knew His word and His kingdom would bring division and persecution.  If you are silent about your Christian faith, you will not be persecuted much if any.  But that is not the Lord's will for your life.  He wants you to be a bold witness for the kingdom, a light shining on a hill.  You are the salt of the earth, and just as salt has an impact on the flavor of the food we eat, He wants you to make an impact through your life on the people and situations around you.  Matt. 5:13 "You are the salt of the earth: bit if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned: It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men."  How sad it will be for some, when they stand before the Lord and He says to them, "I had to throw you out because you had lost your flavor and had no impact."

Beloved, pray that God will strengthen your faith, and that you will be strong in the face of trials and tribulations.  Make up your mind now, before the persecution gets more intense, that you are going to stand strong for the Lord.  Great will be your reward in heaven and you will be thankful you did.  God bless you, in Christ, Jim

Praying for Our Brothers and Sisters in Africa

Dear beloved:  My heart is bleeding with the people of Kenya tonight, as I have received word of the terrorist attacks at Garissa University, even some pictures taken of the terrible carnage inside the university.  Please join me in keeping the people of Kenya lifted up in prayer, and especially those families who have lost loved ones in this horrific attack, as well as for those who are wounded and missing.  I have had the privilege the last two years of ministering with the students from many different universities in Kenya, and they have blessed me greatly.  Many are very innocent and love the Lord Jesus with all their heart, they have a great childlike love for the Word and for the Kingdom.  Many in universities are also there because of great sacrifice by their families, and are often the first in their family to pursue a college degree. The pictures above were taken at KIHBT University in 2013, at an all night keesha meeting held the night before the Westgate Mall attack in Nairobi.   The Lord had us positioned to pray all night; of course He knew what was coming, even if we didn't.

Father, I pray Isaiah 54:17 over the country and the universities of Kenya. I pray that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn.  This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me, saith the Lord.
John 10:10  The thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but I have come to give life, and to give it abundantly.
John 8:44 The devil was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

Beloved, the hope for Kenya and all mankind is Jesus Christ, the risen Son of God. Gather the Outcasts Ministry will stand with the people of Kenya and preach the word in the open doors there, that Jesus will be lifted up.  We will not shrink back in fear as the devil would desire.  Beloved in Kenya, we stand with you, we encourage you to put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (Eph. 6:13)

Plans for the orphanage near Mumias, Kenya are full speed ahead.  The hope for the children in Kenya is to come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  I will also be going back to Kenya and East Africa to preach crusades again this summer.  Stand with us as we take the message of Hope to the precious people in Africa.  God bless you, in Christ, Jim

Praying for Kenya

Dear beloved:  Keep the precious saints of Kenya lifted up in your prayers, they are under great trials as many of the young people have been viciously slain at Garissa University.  The enemy, the father of lies, is the murderer from the beginning, and he is showing his true face.  I pray that the Christians in Kenya will stay strong in the face of these attacks;  we unite with them in prayer at the critical time in the history of their country.

I have had the joy of working with students from many universities in Kenya in revival and keesha meetings the last couple of years. The young people are so innocent and precious, many are realizing the opportunity to go to university for the first time in their familie's history.  All they want is an opportunity to have a better life for themselves and their family.

Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgement you shall condemn.  This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

Father, I ask you to protect the precious saints of Kenya, that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and the evil plans and schemes of the enemy shall be exposed.  I pray you send the Holy Spirit to comfort those who are grieving at this time, and in the days ahead.  Thank you, in Jesus name, Amen.
God bless you, in Christ, Jim

Defense of Our Country

Dear beloved: There is much discussion at this hour and season in our country, about the threat that ISIS (Islamic State) presents to this country, and what does the Bible say about our authority and responsibility to defend ourselves. While I can respect those who take a pacifist position, I do not hold that position for myself, nor do I recommend it for the United States at this time.  What does the Bible say about our authority to pick up our sword and defend ourselves?

In Luke 22:35, Jesus is giving instructions to His disciples prior to His death on the cross, and eventual resurrection.  He was preparing them for a time of persecution and great trial; He knew that for them to go out and preach the gospel in a hostile world, would expose them to great danger in many ways. v35 And He said to them, "When I sent you without money bag, knapsack, and sandals, did you lack anything?"  So they said, "Nothing." v36  Then He said to them, "But now, he who has money bag, let him take it, and likewise a knapsack; and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one."  What Jesus was saying was that prior to His death on the cross, they had no need for a defensive weapon such as a sword, primarily because the message they were speaking to their followers was not offensive; but after the cross, the message would be offensive, and they would be in danger as they traveled to preach the gospel to those who did not know Jesus. The sword was not to be used as an offensive weapon, but to be used as a defensive weapon against robbers, wild beasts, and others who would attack out of hatred for the gospel messengers.

In Romans chapter 13, the Apostle Paul lays out the ground rules and parameters by which government can operate to protect its citizens, and the citizens response under the authority of the governing authorities.  In verse 1 Paul says, "Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities.  For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. v2 Therefore, whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. v3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil.  Do you want to be unafraid of the authority?  Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. v4 For he (the civil authority) is God's minister to you for good, but if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God's minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.

Beloved, if God has given the civil authority the responsibility to avenge wrath on those who practice evil, I believe that includes those who practice evil and present a threat to us from outside our borders.  We have a right, and an obligation, to not only defend ourselves, but also to help those in danger of being beheaded, raped, killed, and in many other ways suffering at the hands of evil.  Those who are practicing evil in the middle east and Europe, are anxiously waiting and plotting to do the same within our borders.  It is our responsibility to protect this nation from these barbaric, demonic killers.   As Paul states, the authorities who are practicing righteousness are ministers of God, and it is justifiable for them to take vengeance against perpetrators of evil.

We should never jump into war without much prayer and consideration of all the factors; however, I believe at this time it is the appropriate response to the evil threat we see before us.  Pray for our President, the Congress, and the military men and women who will be asked to sacrifice the most in defense against evil.  Pray also for Muslims all over the world, that they would have a Saul of Tarsus experience and come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, that they will not be deceived by the hatred and lies of the enemy.   May God bless you as you pray, in Christ, Jim

Kenya Orphanage Project

Dear beloved:  Above is a picture I thought you might enjoy from one of my facebook followers in the Congo.  It is a good picture to tell how things go with children over in Africa.  At least the little guy has someone who cares about him.  Keep the Gather the Outcasts Orphanage Project in your prayers this month of February.  We are trusting the Lord for a mighty outpouring of His love and provision, as we make plans to build an orphanage for 50 children in West Kenya, outside of Mumias.  We will be having an announcement about the land purchase within 30 days, then the next step will be to drill a well, and from there purchase the building materials and begin the constuction.  We are praying for a summer completion to the project. I will be taking a team to Africa with me this summer to work on the project and do some preaching as well. If you would like to go to Africa for an unforgettable trip of a lifetime, get in touch with me at the contact below.  Would you pray about coming along side Gather the Outcasts and support this great Kingdom project?  May God bless you as you pray.  In Christ, Jim

How Then Shall We Live

Dear beloved:  In light of all the turmoil, chaos, and terrorist activity in the world today, how then shall we live?  It would be very easy to look about and see all the destruction, from ISIS to Al- Quaeda, drug cartels, child trafficking, and on and on it goes, and just throw up our hands and give up. If we focus our eyes on the world and all the events therein, it gets very depressing, and in a short time we want to give up and eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we may die.  So what does God's word say about how we should live in light of all that we see?

Peter gives us instruction in 2 Peter 3:11, where he says, Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,  v12 looking for and hastening the coming day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? v13 Nevertheless, we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and new earth in which righteousness dwells. v14 Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found in Him in peace, without spot and blameless; v15 and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation- as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you.

Beloved, the Lord is coming back and all that we see here on the earth will soon be gone! When that precise day will be, only the Father knows, not even Jesus Christ knows the day or the hour.  But until that day, we are to be about the Father's business, bringing the good news of salvation to all those in the world who are lost.  We must have the same mind as the Father, and not give in to frustration, fear, and discouragement.  Why is the Father slow about ending all this madness and chaos?  Peter answers that question for us as well in 2 Peter 3:9.  The Lord is not slack (slow) about His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

God could send His son Jesus today to rapture the church and begin the series of events that lead to the Millennial reign of Jesus on this earth.  But He is longsuffering, patient toward us, so that we can spread the good news of the gospel, share with friends and family, that they may come to know the joy of salvation. The longsuffering of our Lord is salvation!  Take advantage of the time given to you to share your talents, your resources, and your gifts with those who don't know Jesus.  Get your eyes off the world, and onto the Kingdom of God.   God bless you as you pray.  In Christ, Jim

Happy Thanksgiving!

Dear beloved:  I want to take this time to give a Bwana a Safiwe! Praise to the Lord for His goodness and everlasting kindness, and for His provision for all the open doors of ministry this past year.  I thank you, prayer warriors, for being a big part of the ministry success this past year, and I look forward to participating with you in even greater Kingdom ventures in the years to come.  I receive reports each week from people in Africa about the positive impact of the crusades and pastor training in Kenya and Democratic Republic of Congo, and on this side the prison ministry and radio broadcasts continue to bear much fruit.

I ask you to keep me lifted up in your prayers, for  good health, strength, and expanded territory, as well as these specific requests for Gather the Outcasts projects.  I am still praying for the Lord to move on provision for the orphanage project; first we need land procurement, then a well drilled, then the building constructed.  I am believing I will have the money in hand and a crew with me by next summer when I go back to Africa to preach, that we can move forward with the good plans of the Lord to provide a home for 30 orphaned children.I am also praying for open doors into churches that I may share the Africa mission and the orphanage vision with many here in the States.  I have a prospectus written up that goes into great detail on the construction and oversight on the orphanage project, please email me if you would like to receive that.  I also ask for your prayers this coming weekend, November 29-30, where I will be teaming with War Doves Ministry and Lisa McFarland to conduct a 3 session revival in the Norton Correctional Facility.

Psalm 147:1-8 Praise the Lord! for it is good to sing praises to our God; For it is pleasant, and praise is beautiful. v2 The Lord builds up Jerusalem; He gathers together the outcasts of Israel. v3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. v4 He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name. v5 Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite. v6 The Lord lifts up the humble; He casts the wicked down to the ground. V7 Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving; Sing praises on the harp to our God, v8 Who covers the heavens with the clouds, Who prepares rain for the earth, Who makes grass to grow on the mountains.
Let us all give thanks to the Lord for His great bounty, especially here in America!  God bless you as you pray.  in Christ, Jim
