Genesis 32:24 Then Jacob was left alone, and a Man wrestled with him until the breaking of day. v25 Now when He saw He did not prevail against him, He touched the socket of his hip; and the socket of Jacob's hip was out of joint as He wrestled with him. v26 And He said, "Let Me go, for the day breaks." But Jacob said, "I will not let you go unless you bless me!: v27 And He said, "What is your name?" He said, "Jacob." v28 And He said, "Your name will no longer be called Jacob, but Israel, for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed."
Beloved, there are times in a man's life when he must wrestle with God to receive a blessing. We just yesterday finished with a Men's Encounter retreat in Bungoma where 215 men came from all over Kenya to wrestle with God. I believe most all of them prevailed and each received a blessing in some way unique to them. The Saturday night time of praise and worship was especially powerful, as the fire of the Holy Spirit spread through the tent as the praises went up to heaven. The breakthrough started to spread like a wildfire on the prairie. The voice of the Lord hews out the flames of fire! (Psalms 29:7) Our prayer is that the flames will spread to all of Kenya and beyond, that people will be transformed in every sector of society. A big shout out to Encounter team from Eastern Kansas, for their sacrifice in coming to Kenya, the provision and encouragement, and the impact they left behind. They battled through a lot of warfare, and only God knows the total impact of their efforts for all eternity. We invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts Ministry, as we seek the Lord and help spread the good news of the gospel in a variety of ways. We want to be where God is moving.
