pray for a strong mind

Dear beloved: Many people today are suffering from weak minds and mental illness of various kinds, so the Lord has spoken about praying for a strong mind as we continue our fasting and prayer. When a lawyer came to Jesus and asked him in Matthew 22:36 "Teacher, which commandment is the greatest in the Law?" v37 and He said to him, " You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind." v38 this is the great and foremost commandment. v39 the second is like it, "you shall love your neighbor as yourself." So it it obvious from that commandment that Jesus wants our mind to be whole and engaged in loving Him. In Matthew 4:23 it tells us ...And Jesus was going about in all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness among the people. v24 And the news about Him spread into all Syria; and they brought to Him all who were ill, taken with various diseases and pains, domoniacs, epileptics, paralytics; and He healed them. And again in Matthew 17:15 a father brings his lunatic son to Jesus to have him healed, and Jesus proceeds to cast the demon out of the boy, and he is healed. Over and over in scripture we see Jesus healing the mentally ill by casting demons out of them, restoring them to wholeness by His power.

Paul writes to us in Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the RENEWING of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. Paul concludes his letter to the Thessalonians in 1 Thess.5:23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul(mind) and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. So we can understand from this that God's will for His people is that they not be subject to mental illness, that they be whole in mind as well as in body and spirit.

James gives us some instruction on how to keep our minds whole in James 1:5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. v6 But let him ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. v7 for let not that man expect that he will receive anything from the Lord, v8 being a doubleminded(bipolar) man, unstable(weak mentally)in all his ways. So stay humble before God, know that it is his desire to heal your mind as well as your body, and believe with all your heart that when you ask God for something, it is His desire to answer your prayer according to His will. ASK IN FAITH WITHOUT DOUBTING!

If you have a history in your family of depression, bipolar illness, schizophrenia, Alzheimer's, or any other mental problems, start looking at your family from God's point of view, look for the demonic entry points into your family. Repent of the iniquity of your forefathers, rebuke the enemy and all the demonic entry points and seal up those entry points with the blood of Jesus. Do the same for yourself and your children. The more common entries are false religion, idol worship, occult activity, Lodge membership, witchcraft, or in general unrepentant sin. Satan wants to steal your mind and many times it is handed to us through our family tree (generational curses and familiar spirits). Nearly all mental illness is of demonic origin, the modern view of "chemical imbalance" is a hoax perpetrated to sell more psychotropic drugs.

Jesus said in Luke 4:18 the Spirit of the Lord us upon Me, because He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor, He sent Me to proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who are downtrodden. This statement was taken from a prophecy in Isaiah 61, where Isaiah also prophesied Jesus will come to give us a mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting (Isa.61:3) Beloved, take up the mantle of praise today, proclaim release for yourself and your loved ones as you pray today, that God would make you and keep you whole in mind as well as body and spirit. God bless you as you pray and fast this day, in Christ, Jim
