More Than Enough
Dear beloved: Pics, Western Kansas sunset 6/24; Mbeya, Tanzania Crusade
Exodus 36:4 Then all the craftsmen who were doing all the work of the sanctuary came, each for the work he was doing. v5 and they spoke to Moses, saying, "The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work which the Lord commanded us to do." v6 So Moses gave a commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, "Let neither man nor woman do any more work for the offering of the sanctuary." And the people were restrained from bringing, v7 for the material they had was sufficient for all the work to be done- indeed too much.
Beloved, the Lord instructed Moses to build a tabernacle where He could meet the children of Israel. He gave precise instructions on the dimensions, materials, all the articles of worship, along with how everything was to be used. Even down to small details such as the color of thread, all of it symbolized in different ways the coming Messiah, Jesus Christ. One of the most amazing aspects of the construction, though they were wandering in the desert wilderness at that time, the people brought such an abundance of materials the craftsmen had to tell them to stop! We aren't quite to that point yet where we will ask people to stop giving, in fact, quite the opposite. I want to invite 50 people reading this newsletter to come alongside Gather the Outcasts Ministry and partner with us at whatever level you can afford. We need more monthly partners to help build a foundation for the work here in Africa, to help us meet monthly expenses of operating the Children's Home and Living Water Church of Makunda. Makunda is a poor village even by Kenya standards- our monthly church offering from the congregation averages about $50. Can you commit to giving $25, $50, or even $100 on a monthly basis? A meal in a fast food restaurant in USA costs $10-$15 now days, in Kenya that would buy food for a couple of weeks for one of our children. Pray about your part! May God bless you as you pray.
