Bondservant of Jesus

Dear beloved: pics;  Angeline with Emmanuel JamesRowh Lupere;  Graduates of Living Water Bible School

Philippians 2:5 Have this mind among you, which is yours in Christ Jesus, v6 who, though He was in the form of God, did not count equality with God as something to be grasped, v7 but emptied Himself by taking the form of a bondservant.

Beloved, a bondservant was someone in Biblical times who was given freedom but did not take advantage of the freedom, instead choosing to stay with the master.  Many times in his letters, the Apostle Paul called himself a bondservant of Jesus Christ.  In the above Scripture, Paul also likens Jesus to be a bondservant.  He was obedient to the will of His Father in every way, even to the point of death on the cross. When you become a bondservant of Jesus, the normal freedoms and privileges that people strive for here in life lose their appeal.  That is when you know you have picked up your cross and are carrying it daily, your main goal in life is to serve the Lord.  Would you deny yourself freedom in order that the kingdom of God can gain? That is the question every believer should be asking himself.  We invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts Ministry as we take the soul saving message of the gospel to the people in Kenya.  We are planning a crusade in Mulwanda village with one of our partner churches, the dates are December 12-14.  Can you pray with us for this crusade and also make a donation?  We have a budget of $3,000 for this 3 day crusade.  This area is heavily populated with muslims and witchcraft, they need to hear the Good News!  May God bless you as you pray.

Unity of the Body

Dear beloved: Pics;  Kibera Crusade, Nairobi, Kenya; With Pygmy tribe in remote Burundi

1 Corinthians 1:10 Now I plead with you brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. v11 For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of Chloe's household, that there are contentions among you. v12 Now I say this, that each of you says, "I am of Paul", or "I am of Apollos", or "I am of Cephas", or "I am of Christ." v13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?

Beloved, a great hindrance to the promotion of the Gospel is all the divisions and denominations in the Body of Christ. In Kenya there are increasingly popular teachers who proclaim that somehow Apostle Paul does not speak for Christ, that his doctrinal messages don't carry any weight. Did God error in allowing half of the New Testament to be written by Apostle Paul?  Was Paul in error when he said, "earnestly desire spiritual gifts?" (1 Cor. 14:1) Or was Apostle Peter in error when he said, "the Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but  that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9).  It seems this may have been a problem in Paul's day as well, as he cynically asks, "Is Christ divided?"  We are to study the whole counsel of God, for it is all God breathed (inspired), and profitable for doctrine, reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. (2 Timothy 3:16).  I encourage you to read the Bible believing it is the word of God, written by men inspired by the Holy Spirit of God, for our blessing, benefit, healing, and salvation. God's desire is for you to be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work as a member of the Body of Christ.  We invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts Ministry as we preach the good news of the Gospel to the nations of Africa.  May God bless you as you pray!

If you haven't checked out our new ministry video, please take time to do so.  The scenery is stunning, the people are beautiful, and you will get a better understanding of what we are doing in Africa.  Clik on this link to see the video:

Keep Building

Dear beloved: Pics: Living Water Church of Makunda; Completed mud house construction

Nehemiah 4:13 Therefore I (Nehemiah) positioned men behind the lower parts of the wall, at the openings; and I set the people according to their families, with their swords, their spears, and their bows  v14 And I looked, and arose and said to the nobles, to the leaders, and to the rest of the people, "Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, great and awesome, and fight for your brethren, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your houses." v15 And it happened, when our enemies heard that their plan was known to us, and that God had brought their plot to nothing, that all of us returned to the wall, every man to his work.

Beloved, the pictures above tell the part of the story of Living Water Church of Makunda.  We are a group of people the Lord has brought together to build the wall in Makunda.  Makunda is primarily a muslim village, set off from the main roads and in a world of its own.  A place for grass to grow, for the cattle to graze.  Since we began our church six years ago, we have made an impact. Teaching and preaching the gospel, of course, but also village building and transformation through works of service.  We have built several mud houses for ailing widows and poor families, helped families get their children back in school, helped people get loved ones out of the hospital..The list goes on.  We have a storehouse of sacks of maize for those who have no food. In addition to that, we are also called upon to pray for the sick, and preach at funerals, to the point now people of all religions and faiths come to us for help.  That is the Body of Christ in action!  You can be a part of this work if you kindly make a donation to Gather the Outcasts Ministry.  Pray about a generous end of year donation, or monthly partnership, to keep the Lord's work going.  Am posting a link to a new video on Youtube, cut and paste or clik on the link to watch the video of our projects.  You are welcome to share video, do not post on public social media.

Children Funday

Dear beloved: Pics: Children Funday playground; Funday full meal deal

Luke 11:11 If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? v12 Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? v13  If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask of Him?

Beloved, one of our greatest joys is hosting Children's Funday every other Saturday of each month.  We are averaging 125-150 children each day, starting early in the morning to mid afternoon.  We play football, volleyball, and other fun games, then we have a teaching time to tell them Bible stories and the good news of the Gospel.  We finish the day with a good balanced meal so they can go home happy and satisfied.  Many of these children are from muslim families, so this is a good evangelism outreach in addition to building goodwill in the village with our neighbors. Jesus said, "your heavenly Father wants to give you good gifts, all you need to do is ask."  The Apostle Paul spoke not only of the gift of the Holy Spirit, but also of the gifts of the Holy Spirit.  In fact, Paul said in 1 Corinthians 14:1 "pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy."  Our heavenly Father is not a trickster; if you earnestly desire the good gifts that He has, you can trust that He will give you what He has promised.  Jesus called the Holy Spirit "the promise of the Father." (Acts 1:4). We serve an amazing God, He wants to shower us with gifts to show His love for us. We invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts Ministry as we spread the good news of the gospel to the young and old. Your donation, no matter how great or small will be used to further God's kingdom here in Africa.  Pray about your part! Many Christians here in Kenya are praying for the USA elections, for God's will to be done and peace through the whole process.  May God bless you as you pray!

Law of the Harvest

Dear beloved: Pics, Mbeya, Tanzania Crusade 2021; Tarime, Tanzania Crusade 2022

Galatians 6:6 Let the one who is taught the word share all good things with the one who teaches. v7 Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. v8 For the one who sows to the flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

Beloved, foreign ministry offers its own rewards but also its own challenges. The greatest challenges come from battling the spirits that are in place in a certain area, or even over a whole country. Many of the spirits operate in a cultural setting that holds the people in bondage without them even knowing.  That is one of the reasons the Lord sends people out to other lands, visitors can see the culture through eyes that are not accustomed to the  traditional habits.  The joy of sowing to the Spirit is exemplified in the pictures above. People are given a clear presentation of the gospel message, and are asked to make a life changing decision.  For many this is a clash of kingdom culture verses Africa culture.  The valley of decision, a time of worship in Spirit and truth, and to acknowledge the beckoning of the Holy Spirit.  I praise God for the call He has placed on my life, and the open doors to walk into my destiny.  It has been and continues to be a walk of joy and great rewards.  Beloved, this week we hit a heavy low when an eight year old boy from Makunda village died of cancer.  We had been praying earnestly for the Lord to heal him and raise him up, but it didn't come to be.  May the Lord comfort the family of the boy as He welcomes the youngster into His heavenly home.  We are requesting $500 to help the family with hospital and funeral expenses.  Pray about your part in supporting Gather the Outcasts Ministry here in Africa. Your deposit will be written in the ledgers of heaven.  May God bless you as you pray!

The Blood of Jesus

Dear beloved:  Pics: Living Water Church worship team; Burundi Crusade 2019

Hebrews 10:11 And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.  v12 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, v13 from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool. v14 For by the one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.

Beloved, the blood of Jesus has power that nothing else on earth can have or ever will have.  It has the power to wash us free of the sins we have committed, even future sins that we will commit before we die. That blood also has the power to deliver people from demonic strongholds and darkness, as well as heal us, sometimes in miraculous ways. The Father kept the bloodline of Jesus pure, through the cleansing of the earth in the flood of Noah; then Moses, and on down through the good kings of the Old Testament, King David, King Solomon, and eventually the Holy Spirit hovering over Mary and imparting the purity of God into her. "Unto a Child is born"!  This was no ordinary child, Jesus was and is the Son of God, seated at the right hand of the Father. Were it not for the power of the Gospel to save, and the power of the blood cleanse people, we could not start to do here in Africa what we are doing.  We invite you to be part of this ministry.  We need more monthly partners, as well as one time generous gifts to boost this ministry.  We are moving way too slow for the times we are in, there are many here in Kenya, even Makunda, who don't know Jesus as Lord.  The time is growing short.  Pray about your part in moving us forward. Thank you for your prayers and support.  May God bless you as you pray!

Blessings of Work

Dear beloved: pics, Rosecoco red bean acre patch; Young boys helping Chris build clothes line

1 Thessalonians 3:8 We did not eat anyone's bread free of charge, but worked with labor and toil night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you. v9 not because we do not have authority, but to make ourselves an example of how you should follow us v10 For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: if anyone does not work, neither shall he eat.  v11 For we hear that there are many who walk among you in a disorderly manner, not working at all, but are busybodies.

Beloved, one of the joys I have in working at the Children's home is to be able to do hands on work projects and farming with the children. We have made an effort to teach the children that work is a blessing, given by God Himself. It is in Deuteronomy 8:18, the Lord says "it is God that gives you the power to get wealth."  I thank God for all the hard working men and women of America who built roads and bridges, houses, and also for the farmers who work tirelessly to keep the nation fed.  We want to promote that in Kenya so they will see the peace that comes with food security, and the confidence and self esteem that comes from tackling a job and finishing it well. We want to raise up children that are well rounded in every aspect of their life, so they will be an asset and outstanding citizen of Kenya. We invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts Ministry in Kenya.  As a monthly partner you can help us reach more people here with the good news of the gospel, as well as care for the children the Lord has given us at Living Water Children's Home.  Any amount you can give on a monthly basis, or one time gift, will help us promote the kingdom of God in Kenya.  Pray about your part!  May God bless you as you pray.

The Foundations

Dear beloved: Pics: Maize crop Sept. 2024; Kevin welding on security light tower

Psalm 11:2 For look! The wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow on the string, that they may shoot secretly at the upright in heart.  v3  If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? v4 The Lord is in His holy temple, The Lord's throne is in heaven; His eyelids behold, HIs eyelids test the sons of men. v5 The Lord tests the righteous, but the wicked and the one who loves violence His soul hates.

Beloved, the foundations of God's kingdom on earth are being shaken, the nations are raging. To build a skyscraper, the foundations must go deep and rest on bedrock.  So it is with the kingdom of God. The foundations of the Lord's kingdom are all laid out for us at the beginning, in the book of Genesis. Genesis 1:26 Let us make man in Our image, in Our likeness, and give them dominion over all the earth.  The sanctity of human life, every single person born and unborn is made in the image of God and has a destiny declared over them, even before they are born.  Genesis 1:27-28 So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them; Then God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over all the earth."  The sanctity of marriage, one man and one woman, to multiply and replenish the earth with children made in the image of God. Genesis 12:3 I Will bless those who bless you, and curse those who curse you;' and in you (Abram) all the families of the earth shall be blessed.  The sanctity of God's land and people, and the righteous Seed (Jesus Christ) that comes through them. Beloved, what can the righteous do?  Pray without ceasing!  The Lord is far from the wicked, but He hears the prayers of the righteous.  We invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts Ministry as we preach the living water of Jesus Christ in the nations of Africa. We would love to hear from you, any donation large or small is greatly appreciated. May God bless you as you pray!

Spirit of Fear

Dear beloved:  Pics: Maize crop, Living Water October '24;  praying for healing, TZ Crusade

Timothy 1:6 Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. v7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear (timidity), but of power and love and a sound mind.  1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

Beloved, the Apostle Paul is reminding his spiritual son Timothy to not shrink back in fear from the calling God placed upon him. That calling would eventually lead Timothy to a life of adventure and blessings, evangelizing and preaching the good news of the gospel. Timothy went on to join Paul on his second missionary journey, traveling to Macedonia, Turkey, and Asia Minor.  Most Bible scholars peg Timothy's age at late teens to about twenty years!  Many who profess to be Christians today let the enemy paralyze them in fear, and it keeps them away from their greatest destiny in life.  Perfect love casts out fear!  Perfect love for God, and His love for us, allows us to love others, even those we deem unlovable, in spite of the obstacles and challenges involved. The enemy wants us to believe we can't be secure in our future; therefore, we get frozen and retreat to comfort.  I want to challenge each of you to push forward into your highest calling.  Trust the Lord that He can take care of you no matter what He calls you to do, or where He calls you to go.  If God spoke to you in the night and said, "I want to send you to Africa", would you be paralyzed in fear, or thank God that He had chosen you for a mighty work?  Pray about it. Come for a short term mission trip.  Or if you can't go, you can send.  We are still looking for $500 to help pay for the mortuary, funeral, and hospital expenses of the young boy who died last week of cancer. May God bless you as you pray!

Powerful Testimony

Dear beloved: Pics, Tarime, TZ Crusade; Dar es Salaam, TZ Crusade

2 Timothy 4:1 I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom; v2 Preach the Word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. v3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers to suit their own passions.

Crucified with Christ

Dear beloved: pics, Children Funday, Emmanuel teaching; Masai Mara, Simba too close!

Galatians 2:20  (Apostle Paul)  "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. v21 I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain."  Galatians 5:24  All those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

Beloved, the Apostle Paul brings up the concept of crucifying the flesh in his Epistle to the Galatians.  To crucify the flesh means to crucify the desires of the old man, the sinful nature. But for those in the USA, it also presents the challenge of taming the desire for excess in every material thing.  Americans desire and have more of everything; more food, more clothing, more medicine and health care; more education, cars and beautiful houses, more Bibles.  The list could go on and on. The danger in giving in to the desire for all things material, it reduces our desire to suffer for Christ's sake.  Even Jesus told the disciples, "If anyone would come after Me, he must deny himself, pick up his cross and follow Me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for My sake will find it."  (Matt. 16:24-25)  What have you done lately, or ever, to pick up your cross and carry it for His sake? Among the poor of Kenya, we see suffering and endure suffering for the gospel every day. Not to boast in any way, it just goes with the territory.  We invite you to partner with us as we take the good news of Jesus to people who are hungry for the message of hope. We are still looking for monthly partners to help build a good foundation for the ministry.  Pray about your part in storing up treasures in heaven through Gather the Outcasts Ministry.  May God bless you as you pray!

More Than Enough

 More Than Enough

Dear beloved: Pics, Western Kansas sunset 6/24; Mbeya, Tanzania Crusade

Exodus 36:4 Then all the craftsmen who were doing all the work of the sanctuary came, each for the work he was doing. v5 and they spoke to Moses, saying, "The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work which the Lord commanded us to do." v6 So Moses gave a commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, "Let neither man nor woman do any more work for the offering of the sanctuary." And the people were restrained from bringing, v7 for the material they had was sufficient for all the work to be done- indeed too much.

Beloved, the Lord instructed Moses to build a tabernacle where He could meet the children of Israel.  He gave precise instructions on the dimensions, materials, all the articles of worship, along with how everything was to be used. Even down to small details such as the color of thread, all of it symbolized in different ways the coming Messiah, Jesus Christ. One of the most amazing aspects of the construction, though they were wandering in the desert wilderness at that time, the people brought such an abundance of materials the craftsmen had to tell them to stop!  We aren't quite to that point yet where we will ask people to stop giving, in fact, quite the opposite.  I want to invite 50 people reading this newsletter to come alongside Gather the Outcasts Ministry and partner with us at whatever level you can afford.  We need more monthly partners to help build a foundation for the work here in Africa, to help us meet monthly expenses of operating the Children's Home and Living Water Church of Makunda. Makunda is a poor village even by Kenya standards- our monthly church offering from the congregation averages about $50.  Can you commit to giving $25, $50, or even $100 on a monthly basis?  A meal in a fast food restaurant in USA costs $10-$15 now days, in Kenya that would buy food for a couple of weeks for one of our children. Pray about your part!  May God bless you as you pray.

New Testament Church

Dear beloved: pics; Pastor Dominic praying over new graduates; Buseresere, Tanzania, Crusade

Acts 2:42  And they continued steadfastly in the apostle's doctrine and fellowship, the breaking of bread and prayers. v43 Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles.

Beloved, the hallmarks of the New Testament church as described in the book of Acts are listed in the above Scripture.  Noteworthy is the fact that the church is built on sound doctrine. At Living Water Church of Makunda, we have just finished with a graduation service for the first class of graduates for a Certificate in Christian Ministry.  This certificate was given to fourteen candidates who completed an eighteen week course in Bible study, covering subjects such as basic doctrine, as well as evangelism, Christian character, and principles of leadership. Notice also the New Testament church of Acts 2:43, was a church of supernatural signs and wonders.  The people were in awe of the God they worshiped, a fear built on reverence and respect. God has not changed in the last two thousand years, though just about everything else has.  He is still a supernatural God, a God of miracles. When we pray for the sick or pray for miracle provisions, we expect supernatural results. At Gather the Outcasts Ministry in Kenya, we want to become a sending ministry, to send forth preachers and workers into the harvest field. Would you pray about partnering with us, so we can train up and send out disciples into all the harvest fields of Africa?  The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.  God bless you as you pray!

Test the Spirits

Dear beloved: pics, Living Water children helping spread compost; New church member baptism

1 John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are from God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. v2 By this you know the spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, v3 and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God.  And this is the spirit of the Anti-Christ, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.

Beloved, one of my early childhood memories was going with family up into the Rocky Mountains west of Denver. I filled up my pockets with many rocks of what I thought to be gold, but alas, it was only iron pyrite, otherwise known as fool's gold.  And so it is in life, in politics, in some relationships, everything that glitters is not gold.  That is why the Apostle John warned of the spirit of the AntiChrist which is now in the world. This is not the final  AntiChrist, the man who will burst on the scene at the end time tribulation and take his seat in the temple, The spirit we see operating in some people on the world scene and in politics now, is just the little spirit, the precursor, the forerunner. We are being set up for the end time deception.  Even here in Kenya, everyone talks about God, but which God?  Among the people I live with, many don't know Jehovah God, the father of Jesus Christ, who came in the flesh.  He came to die for our sins, to shed His precious blood on the cross of Calvary. That is the test. Pray that you not be deceived and fail the test, it is either pass or fail.  We invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts Ministry here in Africa, as we preach the revelation of the one true living God, the God who has a Son, and His name is Jesus who is risen from the dead!  May God bless you as you pray!

The Lord Sees the Heart

Dear beloved: Pics: Hilary pretending to go to school; Children's Funday, Elizabeth teaching

1 Samuel 16:1 Now the Lord said to Samuel, "How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? Fill your horn with oil, and go; I am sending you to Jesse the Bethlehemite. For I have provided Myself a king among his sons.  v7 But the Lord said to Samuel, "Do not look at Eliab's appearance or his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. v13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed David in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel arose and went to Ramah.

Beloved, the world is full of pretenders. In the above picture, our boy Hilary was pretending to go to school. He is only two years, but he felt very bad because the other children had all gone to school and he was left behind. The Bible says, "the king's heart is in the hands of the Lord, like rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes." (Proverbs 21:1)  For many years after Saul was rejected as king, he pretended to be king, even sat in the office.  The true king, the Lord's anointed, was on the run as the pretender was trying to kill him. Eventually, the demise of Saul came to the point where he even fell on his own sword in battle,  After that the Lord opened the doors for the anointed, King David, to take his place as the rightful ruler of the nation of Israel, first in Hebron for seven years, and then in Jerusalem for thirty three years.  Let everyone who has ears to hear, listen and understand what the Lord is doing. Beloved, we invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts Ministry here in Africa as we teach and preach the good news of the gospel to this lost generation.  These poor people in Kenya need hope, and there is no other besides Jesus Christ the Messiah.  We are also in our 19th year of preaching the good news on FM radio in the USA. May the increase of His government never end!  Pray about your part.  May God bless you as you pray!

Train Up a Child

Dear beloved: pics, Aaron and Kaley shoe giveaway at LW Church; children at Dar es Salaam, TZ crusade

Proverbs 22:6  Train up a child in the way that they should go, and when they are old they shall not depart from it.   Mark 10:13  And they were bringing children to Jesus that He might touch them, and the disciples rebuked them. v14 But when Jesus saw it, He was indignant and said to them, "Let the children come to Me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God."

Beloved, we are trusting God to bring the provision to build a great Christian based primary school next to our children's home in Kenya.  We have a nice acre of land on which to build; we need another acre where the children can play soccer and other activities.  God has a big plan for the Kenya children, He wants to teach them about His kingdom, and the love Jesus has for them. Children are easy to minister to, they are trusting and know in their spirits that God desires to communicate with them.  That is the reason they naturally gravitated towards Jesus. His spirit was pure, and they recognized that.  The future of Kenya lies in teaching the children well.  They will then carry the love of Christ into every sector of society, and the country will be transformed.  That is the only strategy that will be successful in bringing down the strongholds of corruption, and witchcraft.  These strongholds currently strangle the life out of the people, leave them breathless and unable to fight.  Can you help us build this school?  It will also be an evangelistic tool to reach out to muslim children of Makunda village. Our fundraising goal is $100,000.  Pray about your part.  May God bless you as you pray!

Compassion of Jesus

Dear beloved: pics, Women mudding in the sticks on a new house; Masai refugees at Tanzania/Kenya border

Matthew 9:35 And Jesus was going about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness. v36 And seeing the multitudes, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and downcast like sheep without a shepherd. v37 Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. v38 Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send forth workers into His harvest."

Beloved, Jesus had compassion on the multitudes, because they were sick, broken, beat down and oppressed.  Not much has changed today, many people who don't know Jesus feel the very same way. Corruption, racism, stealing, sickness, all this and a whole lot more consume people's thoughts and feelings. Is it any wonder that immediately after Jesus went into the villages to heal people, He said, "the harvest is plentiful."   The good news is Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.  He still heals the sick, the lame, the broken hearted, the betrayed.  The message of the gospel is the same today as it was when He walked the earth.  The question for us is simple: Are we going to believe it, and if so, what are we going to do to share it with others?  When you find the message of truth for your life, the pearl of great price, do you hoard it for yourself, or do you share the good news with those who have not heard it?  As part of our mission in Africa, we want to build a primary school in Makunda village, so we can give the children of Makunda a good basic education, all saturated and wrapped in the love and truth of the gospel.  Can you help?  Come to the fundraiser at Bullseye Event Center, downtown Norton, on June 23rd at 6 pm., join us for a fun time of worship and raising funds for this cause.  If you can't attend, you can donate to the contact information below, either by check or debit card through Paypal.  Pray about your part.  May God bless you as you pray.

The Shaking

Dear beloved: pics,  JamboJet Airline of Kenya; Children's Funday, teaching Bible stories to children of Makunda

Haggai 2:6 "For thus says the Lord of hosts; Yet once more, in a little while, I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land; v7 And I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this house with glory," says the Lord.   Proverbs 21:1 The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, like the rivers of water; He turns it where He wishes.

Beloved, I am safely back in Kenya, I thank God for all the prayers, support, and for safe travel.  As I left the USA, the political landscape was starting to erupt with unprecedented events.  And as I arrive in Kenya, the political landscape is also shaking like an earthquake with the recent protests and violent demonstrations.  One thing I feel is for certain, Kenya will never be the same again.  It will not be business as usual. The prayers of the righteous, and those crying out to the Lord regarding the stronghold of corruption are finally seeing some visible answers. People who have previously been deemed untouchable are finding out the people have a voice. This will lead to monumental changes in the way Kenya is governed in the days ahead. Young people will be placed in positions of authority, and given administrative tasks that were not even thinkable a short time ago.  Meanwhile, the kingdom of God moves forward as the shaking continues. People will be forced to look to the Desire of All Nations, or they will perish. At Living Water Ministries in Kenya, we continue to preach Christ and Him crucified, and teach the children well. The median age of the whole population of Kenya is under 20 years, so the future of Kenya is most definitely in the hands of the youth. Young people who know Jesus as Lord and Savior will withstand the shaking and take their place on church platforms and in government.  They are the chosen generation.  We invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts Ministry as we take the good news of the gospel to the nation of Kenya and beyond.  Pray about your part!  May God bless you as you pray.

Give Thanks

Dear beloved: pics; Pastor Zephania, Carla (1year), Millie, Meshach, Abigail; Sabatia, Kenya Crusade

Psalm 92:1 It is good to give thanks to the Lord, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; v2 To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning, and Your faithfulness every night.  v4 For You, Lord, have made me glad through Your work; I will triumph in the works of Your hands.

Beloved, the events of the last week in the USA have sent shockwaves around the world. The principalities of violence surrounding elections in the country are still very entrenched.  I can remember well the assassination of President Kennedy in 1963, the exact place and time the announcement came over the intercom at our school. These kind of shakings stick in a person's memory.  Some have criticized former President Trump's response in giving thanks to God for sparing his life, leading him through the valley of the shadow of death.  When a person stares death in the face and lives to tell about it, it is easy to give thanks to God. Only by the grace of God do any of us live to see another day, that day is not promised to us.  The Apostle Paul says, "in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."  (1 Thess. 5:18}  Now is the time to get right with the Lord, if there ever was a time.  Today is the day of salvation.  At Gather the Outcasts Ministry here in Kenya, we have an urgency and responsibility to share the good news of the gospel with as many people as possible. That is our motivation, and also our reward.  To see people come to know Jesus Christ as Lord is the most fulfilling calling of any on earth. Can you help us fulfill that mission here in Kenya and East Africa?  We have a vision to build a primary school in Makunda Village near our children's home , so we can educate children in a loving, Christian environment. Pray about your part in moving the kingdom of God forward in Africa.  May God bless you as you pray!

End Time Mockers

Dear beloved: pics; Water storage expansion at solar pump ;  Lively worship at Living Water Church of Makunda

2 Peter 3:2 May you be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us, the apostles of the Lord and Savior, v3 knowing this first, that mockers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, v4 and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things will continue as they were from the beginning of creation."

Beloved, the majesty and dignity of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France, was immediately tarnished during the opening ceremony, when a group of "drag queens" openly and brazenly mocked our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  The scene they chose to mock was the mural painting from The Last Supper, painted by Leonardo da Vinci, during the time period 1495-1498.  To see this take place at the opening of the Olympic Games is not only shocking, but a celebration of perversion on a grand scale. We need to pray for France, and for the athletes who are Christians to be a witness to their faith to all the young people watching on television, to future athletes who will participate in the Olympics. In 2022, in difficult times of travel during the Covid pandemic, I was stranded in the Paris airport for over 3 days.  I had plenty of time to drink bitter coffee and to pray, and now I see the reason the Lord had me planted there. The Apostle Paul, in his letter to son Timothy, says "know this, that in the last days perilous time will come. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy.  (2 Timothy 3:1-2).  The Bible says, " That at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord." (Philippians 2:10-11).  At Gather the Outcasts Ministry, we exalt and lift up the name of Jesus.  May His name be glorified in all the earth!  May those who witnessed that opening ceremony boldly proclaim the gospel message to a lost and dying world, that none should perish, but all should come to repentance and know the love of Jesus Christ. May God bless you as you pray!

The Seed Must Die

Dear beloved: Dar es Salaam, Tz;  Kibera, Nairobi Kenya Crusade

1 Corinthians 15:35  But someone will say, "How are the dead raised up?  And with what body do they come?  v36 Foolish one, what you sow is not made alive unless it dies. v42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. v43 It is sown in dishonour, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power.  v44 It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.  There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. v45 And so it is written, "The first man Adam became a living being."  The last Adam (Jesus) became a life giving spirit. v49 And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man.

Beloved, this Chapter 15 in the book of 1 Corinthians is a very deep but wonderful chapter in the Bible. Many people that Apostle Paul was ministering to were tied to the land through subsistence farming, and were accustomed to illustrations from the agrarian lifestyle.  Here Paul describes the death of Jesus as a seed, the heavenly seed, being planted, only to be raised to life just as a kernel of wheat or maize also comes to life when it is planted. Jesus showed us through His resurrection that we have nothing to fear in death.  He proved His divinity by conquering death on the cross, only to rise again after three days!  "O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?"  Our heavenly, spiritual body will be resurrected to be united with Jesus, we will sit and dine with Him and all the saints at the marriage supper of the Lamb. A foreshadowing of our resurrection also takes place when we are born again. The old sinful man dies, to be replaced by a brand new creation! Before the new comes, the old must die!  Praise God for the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  Through Him we have eternal life.

Pray about your part in partnering with Gather the Outcasts Ministry here in Africa.  We have many burdens caring for the orphan and abandoned children, as well as needs of the church and village people of Makunda.  These people are very poor and their earthly needs will shock your senses at times, you wonder how they survive. We want to hear from you, on a monthly basis or a one time gift.  Any amount will help.  Thank you for your prayers and support!

The Harvest is Plentiful

Dear beloved; pics  Ngozi, Burundi Crusade; Mud house construction, Makunda village, Kenya

Luke 10:1 Now after this the Lord appointed seventy others, and sent them out two and two ahead of Him to every city and place where He Himself was going to come. v2 And He was saying to them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. v3 Go your ways; behold, I send you out as lambs in the midst of wolves."

Beloved, these words spoken by the Lord Jesus almost two thousand years ago still ring true today.  In spite of all the technological advancements in the modern age, there are still billions of people across the earth who have never heard a clear presentation of the gospel message.  Some have never even heard the name of the true Jesus, the Son of God who died for them on the cross. Beyond that, many who have heard have fallen away or produced no lasting fruit.  The recent solar eclipse, though it had many prophetic implications, proved one thing beyond a doubt: Jesus isn't ready to come back to gather up the saints just yet.  Those who are prophesying, "the end is near, the end is near". didn't get that message from Jesus or the Holy Spirit.  Jesus is saying just the opposite, "get busy for the harvest is plentiful!"  With that in mind, we invite you to come to Kenya for a short term mission.  We can build a mud house for a needy widow, minister to the children at Living Water Children's Home, and maybe preach at a church revival or crusade.  Let me know if you would be interested in a mid summer trip, there are others who might be interested.  The time is at hand, the kindom of God is among us.  Pray about your part in gathering for the kingdom.  May God bless you as you pray!
