A Sound Mind
Dear beloved: Pictures above, left, Burundi Crusade 2016; right, South Africa Evangelist Samuel Murrombe at Living Water Orphanage
Mark 5:7 And he cried out with a loud voice and said, " What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God that You do not torment me." v8 For Jesus said to him, "Come out of the man, unclean spirit!" v9 Then He asked him, "What is your name?" and he answered, saying, "My name is Legion, for we are many." v15 Then the townspeople came to Jesus, and saw the one who had been demon possessed and had the legion, sitting and clothed and in his right mind. And they were afraid. v17 And the townspeople began to plead with Him to depart from their region.
The above passage of scripture is probably the most dramatic story of deliverance in all the New Testament. After the deliverance of Legion, the people of the town wanted Jesus to leave. They would rather see the familiar Legion in the tombs, and all the pigs alive, than see the alternative of Legion delivered of his demonic torment. In this current age in America, 80 million people are taking medication for depression, anxiety, and unstable minds. Millions more are self medicating with marijuana and other illegal drugs. Beloved, God has a better plan. The Psalmist says in Psalm 91:1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide in the shadow of the Almighty. 91:2 " I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God in Him I will trust." May God bless you and strengthen your mind as you pray today.
