Train Up a Child

Dear beloved: pics, Aaron and Kaley shoe giveaway at LW Church; children at Dar es Salaam, TZ crusade

Proverbs 22:6  Train up a child in the way that they should go, and when they are old they shall not depart from it.   Mark 10:13  And they were bringing children to Jesus that He might touch them, and the disciples rebuked them. v14 But when Jesus saw it, He was indignant and said to them, "Let the children come to Me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God."

Beloved, we are trusting God to bring the provision to build a great Christian based primary school next to our children's home in Kenya.  We have a nice acre of land on which to build; we need another acre where the children can play soccer and other activities.  God has a big plan for the Kenya children, He wants to teach them about His kingdom, and the love Jesus has for them. Children are easy to minister to, they are trusting and know in their spirits that God desires to communicate with them.  That is the reason they naturally gravitated towards Jesus. His spirit was pure, and they recognized that.  The future of Kenya lies in teaching the children well.  They will then carry the love of Christ into every sector of society, and the country will be transformed.  That is the only strategy that will be successful in bringing down the strongholds of corruption, and witchcraft.  These strongholds currently strangle the life out of the people, leave them breathless and unable to fight.  Can you help us build this school?  It will also be an evangelistic tool to reach out to muslim children of Makunda village. Our fundraising goal is $100,000.  Pray about your part.  May God bless you as you pray!

Compassion of Jesus

Dear beloved: pics, Women mudding in the sticks on a new house; Masai refugees at Tanzania/Kenya border

Matthew 9:35 And Jesus was going about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness. v36 And seeing the multitudes, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and downcast like sheep without a shepherd. v37 Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. v38 Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send forth workers into His harvest."

Beloved, Jesus had compassion on the multitudes, because they were sick, broken, beat down and oppressed.  Not much has changed today, many people who don't know Jesus feel the very same way. Corruption, racism, stealing, sickness, all this and a whole lot more consume people's thoughts and feelings. Is it any wonder that immediately after Jesus went into the villages to heal people, He said, "the harvest is plentiful."   The good news is Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.  He still heals the sick, the lame, the broken hearted, the betrayed.  The message of the gospel is the same today as it was when He walked the earth.  The question for us is simple: Are we going to believe it, and if so, what are we going to do to share it with others?  When you find the message of truth for your life, the pearl of great price, do you hoard it for yourself, or do you share the good news with those who have not heard it?  As part of our mission in Africa, we want to build a primary school in Makunda village, so we can give the children of Makunda a good basic education, all saturated and wrapped in the love and truth of the gospel.  Can you help?  Come to the fundraiser at Bullseye Event Center, downtown Norton, on June 23rd at 6 pm., join us for a fun time of worship and raising funds for this cause.  If you can't attend, you can donate to the contact information below, either by check or debit card through Paypal.  Pray about your part.  May God bless you as you pray.

The Shaking

Dear beloved: pics,  JamboJet Airline of Kenya; Children's Funday, teaching Bible stories to children of Makunda

Haggai 2:6 "For thus says the Lord of hosts; Yet once more, in a little while, I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land; v7 And I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this house with glory," says the Lord.   Proverbs 21:1 The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, like the rivers of water; He turns it where He wishes.

Beloved, I am safely back in Kenya, I thank God for all the prayers, support, and for safe travel.  As I left the USA, the political landscape was starting to erupt with unprecedented events.  And as I arrive in Kenya, the political landscape is also shaking like an earthquake with the recent protests and violent demonstrations.  One thing I feel is for certain, Kenya will never be the same again.  It will not be business as usual. The prayers of the righteous, and those crying out to the Lord regarding the stronghold of corruption are finally seeing some visible answers. People who have previously been deemed untouchable are finding out the people have a voice. This will lead to monumental changes in the way Kenya is governed in the days ahead. Young people will be placed in positions of authority, and given administrative tasks that were not even thinkable a short time ago.  Meanwhile, the kingdom of God moves forward as the shaking continues. People will be forced to look to the Desire of All Nations, or they will perish. At Living Water Ministries in Kenya, we continue to preach Christ and Him crucified, and teach the children well. The median age of the whole population of Kenya is under 20 years, so the future of Kenya is most definitely in the hands of the youth. Young people who know Jesus as Lord and Savior will withstand the shaking and take their place on church platforms and in government.  They are the chosen generation.  We invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts Ministry as we take the good news of the gospel to the nation of Kenya and beyond.  Pray about your part!  May God bless you as you pray.

Give Thanks

Dear beloved: pics; Pastor Zephania, Carla (1year), Millie, Meshach, Abigail; Sabatia, Kenya Crusade

Psalm 92:1 It is good to give thanks to the Lord, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; v2 To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning, and Your faithfulness every night.  v4 For You, Lord, have made me glad through Your work; I will triumph in the works of Your hands.

Beloved, the events of the last week in the USA have sent shockwaves around the world. The principalities of violence surrounding elections in the country are still very entrenched.  I can remember well the assassination of President Kennedy in 1963, the exact place and time the announcement came over the intercom at our school. These kind of shakings stick in a person's memory.  Some have criticized former President Trump's response in giving thanks to God for sparing his life, leading him through the valley of the shadow of death.  When a person stares death in the face and lives to tell about it, it is easy to give thanks to God. Only by the grace of God do any of us live to see another day, that day is not promised to us.  The Apostle Paul says, "in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."  (1 Thess. 5:18}  Now is the time to get right with the Lord, if there ever was a time.  Today is the day of salvation.  At Gather the Outcasts Ministry here in Kenya, we have an urgency and responsibility to share the good news of the gospel with as many people as possible. That is our motivation, and also our reward.  To see people come to know Jesus Christ as Lord is the most fulfilling calling of any on earth. Can you help us fulfill that mission here in Kenya and East Africa?  We have a vision to build a primary school in Makunda Village near our children's home , so we can educate children in a loving, Christian environment. Pray about your part in moving the kingdom of God forward in Africa.  May God bless you as you pray!

End Time Mockers

Dear beloved: pics; Water storage expansion at solar pump ;  Lively worship at Living Water Church of Makunda

2 Peter 3:2 May you be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us, the apostles of the Lord and Savior, v3 knowing this first, that mockers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, v4 and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things will continue as they were from the beginning of creation."

Beloved, the majesty and dignity of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France, was immediately tarnished during the opening ceremony, when a group of "drag queens" openly and brazenly mocked our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  The scene they chose to mock was the mural painting from The Last Supper, painted by Leonardo da Vinci, during the time period 1495-1498.  To see this take place at the opening of the Olympic Games is not only shocking, but a celebration of perversion on a grand scale. We need to pray for France, and for the athletes who are Christians to be a witness to their faith to all the young people watching on television, to future athletes who will participate in the Olympics. In 2022, in difficult times of travel during the Covid pandemic, I was stranded in the Paris airport for over 3 days.  I had plenty of time to drink bitter coffee and to pray, and now I see the reason the Lord had me planted there. The Apostle Paul, in his letter to son Timothy, says "know this, that in the last days perilous time will come. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy.  (2 Timothy 3:1-2).  The Bible says, " That at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord." (Philippians 2:10-11).  At Gather the Outcasts Ministry, we exalt and lift up the name of Jesus.  May His name be glorified in all the earth!  May those who witnessed that opening ceremony boldly proclaim the gospel message to a lost and dying world, that none should perish, but all should come to repentance and know the love of Jesus Christ. May God bless you as you pray!

The Seed Must Die

Dear beloved: Dar es Salaam, Tz;  Kibera, Nairobi Kenya Crusade

1 Corinthians 15:35  But someone will say, "How are the dead raised up?  And with what body do they come?  v36 Foolish one, what you sow is not made alive unless it dies. v42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. v43 It is sown in dishonour, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power.  v44 It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.  There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. v45 And so it is written, "The first man Adam became a living being."  The last Adam (Jesus) became a life giving spirit. v49 And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man.

Beloved, this Chapter 15 in the book of 1 Corinthians is a very deep but wonderful chapter in the Bible. Many people that Apostle Paul was ministering to were tied to the land through subsistence farming, and were accustomed to illustrations from the agrarian lifestyle.  Here Paul describes the death of Jesus as a seed, the heavenly seed, being planted, only to be raised to life just as a kernel of wheat or maize also comes to life when it is planted. Jesus showed us through His resurrection that we have nothing to fear in death.  He proved His divinity by conquering death on the cross, only to rise again after three days!  "O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?"  Our heavenly, spiritual body will be resurrected to be united with Jesus, we will sit and dine with Him and all the saints at the marriage supper of the Lamb. A foreshadowing of our resurrection also takes place when we are born again. The old sinful man dies, to be replaced by a brand new creation! Before the new comes, the old must die!  Praise God for the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  Through Him we have eternal life.

Pray about your part in partnering with Gather the Outcasts Ministry here in Africa.  We have many burdens caring for the orphan and abandoned children, as well as needs of the church and village people of Makunda.  These people are very poor and their earthly needs will shock your senses at times, you wonder how they survive. We want to hear from you, on a monthly basis or a one time gift.  Any amount will help.  Thank you for your prayers and support!

The Harvest is Plentiful

Dear beloved; pics  Ngozi, Burundi Crusade; Mud house construction, Makunda village, Kenya

Luke 10:1 Now after this the Lord appointed seventy others, and sent them out two and two ahead of Him to every city and place where He Himself was going to come. v2 And He was saying to them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. v3 Go your ways; behold, I send you out as lambs in the midst of wolves."

Beloved, these words spoken by the Lord Jesus almost two thousand years ago still ring true today.  In spite of all the technological advancements in the modern age, there are still billions of people across the earth who have never heard a clear presentation of the gospel message.  Some have never even heard the name of the true Jesus, the Son of God who died for them on the cross. Beyond that, many who have heard have fallen away or produced no lasting fruit.  The recent solar eclipse, though it had many prophetic implications, proved one thing beyond a doubt: Jesus isn't ready to come back to gather up the saints just yet.  Those who are prophesying, "the end is near, the end is near". didn't get that message from Jesus or the Holy Spirit.  Jesus is saying just the opposite, "get busy for the harvest is plentiful!"  With that in mind, we invite you to come to Kenya for a short term mission.  We can build a mud house for a needy widow, minister to the children at Living Water Children's Home, and maybe preach at a church revival or crusade.  Let me know if you would be interested in a mid summer trip, there are others who might be interested.  The time is at hand, the kindom of God is among us.  Pray about your part in gathering for the kingdom.  May God bless you as you pray!

At the Master's Feet

Dear beloved: Pics, Living Water Church of Makunda; Children's Funday, LW Children's Home

Luke 10:39  And Martha had a sister called Mary, who moreover was listening to the Lord's word, seated at His feet. v40 But Martha was distracted with all her preparations; and she came up to Him, and said, "Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to do all the serving alone? Then tell her to help me." v41 But the Lord answered and said to her, "Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things; v42 but only a few things are necessary, really only one, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her."

Beloved, there is a time for every purpose under heaven.  A time to pray, a time to work, a time to serve, a time to sit at the Master's feet. After returning to USA after nearly a year in Kenya, I"m amazed about how busy everyone is here.  America is built on work, and the beautiful roads, airports, schools, and homes all attest to the great work ethic we have. God gives us the power to make wealth, and prosperity begins with work and creative attributes given to us by God.  At Living Water, we try to have a balanced lifestyle of work on the shamba, and dynamic church services saturated with a lot of powerful worship, preaching, and prayer.  We also have all night prayer meetings, called keshas, which we hold several times each year. We also feel compelled to build mud houses for the widows in our village, many of whom live in very dilapidated structures. Come to visit us in Kenya, we can show you hospitality and you will minister and see things in Africa you have never seen before!  Pray about your part in boosting Gather the Outcasts Ministry in Kenya.  We need monthly partners, as well as one time donations to help us with many projects we have going.  May God bless you as you pray!

The Passover Lamb

Dear beloved: pics: Gather the Outcasts Crusade in Tanzania; baptism at Living Water Church in Makunda

Exodus 12:21 Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said to them, "Go and take for yourselves lambs according to your families, and slay the Passover lamb." v22 And you shall take a bunch of hyssop and dip it in the blood which is in the basin, and apply some of the blood that is in the basin to the lintel and the two doorposts; and none of you shall go outside the door of his house until morning. v23 For the Lord will pass through to strike the Egyptians; but when He sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the Lord will pass over the door and will not allow the destoyer to come in to your houses to strike you. v24 and you shall keep this event as an ordinance for you and your children forever.

Belover, this week is Passover on the Hebrew calender, starting on April 22 and ending on April 30.  Passover is the Feast of the Jews that is celebrated as a memorial to the time of liberation from the bondage and plagues of Egypt.  It is a type and shadow of how the blood of Jesus frees us from the bondage and plagues of the enemy in our life.  If we apply the blood of Jesus over the lintel and the doorposts of our hearts, we are set free.  Whom the Son sets free is free indeed!  The waters of baptism also are a representation of the blood of Jesus washing over us, so we can appeal to God with a good conscience through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. We are buried with Him in the water of baptism, to be raised in newness of life, a new creation!  We invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts Ministry as we take the good news of the gospel to the lost in Africa.  We preach Christ and Him crucified.  We are a multifaceted ministry; crusades and big outdoor meetings, church revivals, personal one to one village evangelism, as well as outreach to the orphans and widows in the area of Makunda in Kenya.  We now have four churches in Mumias area under our registration.  You will sow into fertile ground!  Pray about your part in supporting us. I will be in USA for a couple of months, contact me if you would like for me to come preach and share the mission.  May God bless you as you pray!

Blessed Are the Meek

Dear Beloved: pics, Mbeya, Tanzania Crusade; Worship leader/singer Bony Mwaitege of TZ

Matthew 5:2 Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying: v3 "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. v4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. v5 Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. v6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. v7 Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.  v8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God."

Beloved, you haven't really seen the totality of the gospel message in all its power until you have been to some of the poor countries of the world.  In the Scripture above, taken from the Sermon on the Mount, our Lord Jesus lays out some very profound truths.  Why do the poor in spirit, and the poor in material wealth, so often coincide in the same people, in the same countries of the world?  The poor have nowhere else to turn when they have exhausted all their resources, and government has very little to offer them to help them out of their poverty.  "Where could I go, where could I go, seeking a refuge from the storm?  Needing a friend, to help me in the end, where could I go but to the Lord?"  (Gaither Vocal Band).  At Gather the Outcasts Ministry, we are making only a small dent in the poverty of the village. We employ quite a number of people, working on the farm and children's home, operating the posho mill and duka store.  However, the impact in the spirit realm, though not easily measured, is much more profound, as it goes on for eternity.  To see people come to the Lord, especially from generations of pagan religions and witchcraft, is exciting and the most fulfilling endeavor to which a person can aspire.  This is our daily walk, the fire that burns in us, to fill the poor in spirit with the Living Water, the Bread of Life, Jesus Christ. We invite you to partner with us as we take the message of truth to the people of Kenya.  Pray about your part!  Thank you for your prayers and support.  Living Water Church @www.facebook.com/jimrowh
