Family Altars

Judges 6:25 Now it came to pass that same night that the Lord said to Gideon, "Take your father's young bull, and a second bull of seven years old, and tear down the altar of Baal that your father has, and cut down the wooden image of Asherah that is beside it; v26 and build an altar to the Lord your God on top of this rock in proper arrangement, and take the second bull and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the image which you shall cut down." v27 So Gideon took ten men from among his servants and did as the Lord had said to him. But because he feared his father's household and the men of the city too much to do it by day, he did it by night.

Beloved, when Gideon was called by God to lead the childen of Israel against the Midianites, the Lord asked him to tear down the family evil altars.  Many of us are reluctant to serve the Lord all out, we are more concerned about what our family thinks about it, or about the customs and traditions of the family history.  As the end days and return of Christ draw near, the enemy onslaught against the family will increase and accelerate.  God's plan for the children is that they grow up in a loving, nurturing home, where the children learn about Jesus and desire to serve Him.  In Makunda village families are under assault from drunkenness, witchcraft curses, cultural generational curses, and other causes that result in premature death and single mothers raising children without support.  Children at Living Water Home are all from varied backgrounds of abandonment, trauma, family violence, and sicknesses such as HIV leading to premature death. Gather the Outcasts is working hard to provide a stable and loving environment for these children, where they can come to know Jesus and be healed of the traumatic events in their life. We pray continually for them to prosper in all things- their physical health, school work, etc, even as their soul prospers..Our desire is to see them become God fearing, well adjusted citizens of Kenya, leaders of the next generation.  Would you partner with us in that pursuit?  Fifty dollars per month will go a long way to provide for their basic needs of food, shelter, clothing, and school fees.  May God bless you as you pray!

Contending With Horses

Jeremiah 12:5 If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you, then how can you contend with horses? And if in the land of peace, in which you trusted, they wearied you, then how will you do in the thicket of the Jordan?

Beloved, the enemy is trying his best to move the timeline of the antichrist forward, to usher in the end time events when the enemy will try to get every nation and every person to bow to him. The pressure to give in is great, and yet God calls His people to be ready to contend with the horses and not let our thinking to be dominated by fear.  Those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength, they will mount up with wings of eagles; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.  The Lord says, "the gospel shall be preached in all the world as a witness to the nations, and then the end will come."  We are moving ahead with the plans for a crusade in Sabatia, Kenya, January 26-28.  Pray for this crusade, the first we have conducted in Kenya in two years.  We will not be cowed into silence  Our budget is set at $3,500, can you help us bring in the harvest in Kenya?  The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.  May God bless you as you pray!

The Harvest is Plentiful

Matthew 9:35 Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. v36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, for they were weary and scattered, like sheep without a shepherd.  v37 Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. v38  Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest."

Beloved, I spent many years in Kansas growing and shipping organic squash all over the Midwest USA. When there were plenty of laborers for the harvest, it was a joy and easy work, but when the laborers were in short supply, the job was a heavy burden. Next week we are going to Sabatia, Butere district in Kenya, for a great salvation and healing crusade.  Pray that we will have many laborers for the harvest, that the nets will be full of new believers at the end of four days of worship and preaching.  For two years now, there have been no crusades and restricted church attendance here in Kenya.  It is time for a breakthrough, time for God to roar!  More than ever before the harvest is plentiful.  Here in Kenya, many are trying to work overtime to make up for the income lost during the covid days.  Pray with us that they will be stirred to come to the crusade, and have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to them.  We invite you to partner with us as we take the good news of the gospel to the lost of Kenya and beyond!  As you send, we are able to go.  May God bless you as you pray!

The Lost Sheep

Luke 15:4 "What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses on of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? v5 And when he finds it, he lays it on his shoulders rejoicing. v6 And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, "Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!" v7 "I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance."

Beloved, it is with great joy that we report that many lost sheep have come into the fold at the crusade in Sabatia.  We are rejoicing along with the angels in heaven for not only those who have made confessions of faith in Jesus, but also for the many who have come forward for prayers for healing and deliverance. Strongholds of alcoholism and witchcraft are being torn down, along with the stronghold of fear that has gripped many due to the various lockdowns and mandates related to Covid.  This is our first crusade in Kenya in over two years, and the people are overjoyed that they can come together and worship and dance to the Lord. The kings of the earth make their stand, but the message of the gospel cannot be quenched; of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end.  We invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts Ministry as we take the soul saving message of hope to the lost sheep of Africa. The Living Water

John 4:13 Jesus answered and said to her, "Whoever drinks of this water shall thirst again, v14 but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up to everlasting life."

Beloved, one of the great stories of Jesus details His encounter with a Samaritan lady at Jacob's well in Samaria.  She is an outcast to her own people as well as the kingdom of God.  But the story shows the love of Jesus for those who are trapped in sin and are social outcasts in their own land.  At Living Water children's home, we are blessed to have an abundant supply of very clean, sweet spring water, an everlasting spring.  We give it to the villagers to show our love for them, and bring blessings and goodwill to their lives.  They come to drink, fill their jerry cans, and do laundry.  At the Sabatia Crusade last week, over 300 people came to know the living water and Jesus Christ as their Lord, and many more were delivered of witchcraft and other demonic spirits.  It was an outpouring of the glory of God and the everlasting life.  Won't you join us as we take the good news of the gospel to a dry and thirsty land?  As you send we are able to go.  May God bless you as you pray!

Filled With His Glory

Psalm 97: 1-6 The Lord reigns, let the people rejoice; and let the many coastlands be glad! Clouds and thick darkness are all around Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him and burns up all the adversaries all around. His lightnings light up all the world; the earth sees and trembles. The mountains melt like wax before the Lord, before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim His righteousness, and all the peoples see His glory. 

Beloved, when the glory of the Lord fills a place, the atmosphere of healing and deliverance takes place. And even greater than that, the fire and conviction of the Holy Spirit opens up a person to receive the good news of the gospel. When the disciples returned to Jesus, rejoicing that the demons were subject to them in His name, He said, "Do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven."  The above picture of the sunset in Kansas was taken over my farm the day following the crusade in Sabatia, Kenya. Maybe the Lord was showering the place with a blessing in my absence. Wars and Rumors of Wars

Matthew 24:3 The disciples came to Jesus privately, and asked Him, "what will be the sign of Your coming and of the end of the age?" v4 And Jesus answered them, "see that no one leads you astray, v5 for many will come in My name, saying, "I am the Christ, and deceive many" v6 "And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. v7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. v8 All these are the beginning of sorrows (birth pangs)."

As we read the news, and hear the headlines of ongoing crises around the world, we are reminded of Jesus prophetic words in the Olivet discourse.  He warned us that in the last days there would be all this chaos and calamity going on. But He also said for us not to be troubled, which seems like a dichotomy impossible to resolve.  The events of the end times will come to pass, they will be absolutely fulfilled.  The only variable issue will be the timing, and ultimately the return of Christ is in the hands of sovereign God.  The enemy wants to rush the timeline to usher in the reign of the antichrist, while the restrainer wants to hold the enemy at bay till all the people of the nations have heard the gospel. We can only keep from being troubled by staying focused on Jesus, and taking our anxious thoughts and fear to Him in prayer. Jesus said, "My peace I give unto you, not as the world gives do I give unto you, therefore, let not your heart be troubled or fearful."  We still have many souls to reach in Makunda village, as well as all over Kenya and East Africa.  We invite you to partner with us as we complete the projects at the children's home, and the Living Water Church shop and posho mill.  Pray that God will use you to further His kingdom here in Africa.  May God bless you as you pray!

Words to Jeremiah

Jeremiah 1:9 Then the Lord put forth HIs hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me: "Behold, I have put My words in your mouth. v10 See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, To root out and to pull down, to destroy and throw down, to build and to plant."

Beloved, the natons are still in a rage, but the Lord will have the final say.  Suffice it to say the nations of the earth are all going to be affected and sustain collateral damage because of the war in Ukraine.  Last week I was preaching at an all night kesha prayer meeting here in Mumias.  At the end of a rather lengthy prayer, the words just came out of my mouth, "Putin, prepare to meet your God!"  Even today I don't know what that means, but it was from the Lord. Pray for the children and innocent people of Ukraine, and for the leaders of the nations involved.  This is the time they need to hear from the Lord and have understanding.  The Lord is the defender of the weak, and he is offended when the kings of the earth take their stand against the Him.  We are seeing rapidly increasing costs of all commodities here in Kenya, from cooking fuel, food, and fertilizer, costs are going through the roof. Most of the people here live day to day with little if any in savings.  If you can help us feed the orphan children and the many others who depend on us, it would be greatly appreciated.  Even $50 per month would be a blessing if you are able. Pray about your part in helping us, pray for the nations, pray, pray, pray!

Black Horse of Famine

Revelation 6:5 When he opened the third seal, I hear the third living creature say, "Come and see." So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. v6  And I heard a loud voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, "A quart of wheat for a denarius (day's wage), and three quarts of barley for a denarius, and do not harm the oil and the wine."

The passage of Scripture in Revelation speaks of a coming time or rampant inflation, when a day's wage will only purchase a quart of wheat. Can you imagine the cost of bread and other baked goods if the price of wheat actually reaches that level?  The Lord gave me a vision years ago of the black horse of famine, and the vision was so vivid it shook me for several days.  The horse and rider came out and appeared in full life and color to me, with scales in hand, then the horse reared back and threw the rider off!  Chaos and calamity even beyond what I had ever imagined.  What we are seeing in the world wide inflation now taking hold is just a foreshadowing of things to come. This would be a great time to plant a victory garden, and stock up on some essentials that you know you will need in the future. I wrote about the vision of the Black Horse, and many other dreams the Lord gave me,  in the recently published book, "Prophecies for America"

Be As Little Children

Matthew 18:2 Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, and said, v3 " Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. v4 Therefore, whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. v5  Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me. v6 But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea."

Beloved, our children's fun day at Living Water Children's Home is opening up a great opportunity to minister to the children of Makunda village.  We have been averaging about 150 children each Saturday.  We spend the morning in teaching Bible stories, playing fun games and football, then finish off the morning with a great meal for them to get some nourishment for their bodies. Children have an innate desire to know the things of God.  Their spirits have not been polluted by the things of the world, they are much more open to receive teaching about Jesus.  Many of these children come from Muslim background, so they will be beacons of light in their home environment.  You can help us in this ministry outreach, expenses for food and other necessities totals about $100 for each Saturday. Also we have a need that has arisen in the last week.  Our pastor was in a wreck with the new car we had just purchased.  We thank God he was not seriously injured, but the car has sustained damage that will cost $2,000 to repair.  Pray about your part in helping get the car fixed up and back on the road.  Thank you and may God bless you as you pray!
