Apostolic Anointing

Dear beloved: Pics above: Children at Living Water Home; boda riders lining up for fuel amid ongoing shortages

2 Corinthians 11:26 in journeys often, in perils in waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils of the city, in perils of the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; v27 in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in cold and nakedness- v28 besides the other things, what comes upon me daily: my deep concern for all the churches. v29 Who is weak, and I am not weak?  Who is made to stumble, and I do not burn with indignation?

Beloved, the Apostle Paul gave up a life as an intellectual and religious elite, a very comfortable life, to sacrifice all for service to Jesus.  When he was blinded as he traveled on the road to Damascus, the Lord appeared to him to show him what he must suffer for the Lord's sake. The Apostolic anointing is the power to lay down the foundation of the gospel in lands and in ways that have never been accomplished before. But along with the one hundred fold blessing come the persecutions, the trials, and the sufferings. The overwhelming joy of seeing people come to Christ outweighs the momentary afflctions of the present age. The challenges of ministering in a foreign land one can only imagine until you get here and jump in the battle.  My heart weeps daily for the people of Kenya, where life is such a grind and constant battle. So much of the government and culture is broken, where do you start to fix them?  We start by preaching Christ and Him crucified!  While boda riders trying to feed their families on profit of $5 per day line up for precious fuel, our children also line up hoping to be able to go to school.  Any amount will help, it takes about $1,500 to send all of our children to school in primary and secondary locations.  Pray about your part in this outreach.  May God bless you as you pray.

Faith Without Works

Dear beloved: Pics above: Men's Encounter with Team USA, 2021; Children's Fun Day at Living Water Home

James 2:14 What does it profit my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? v15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitue of daily food, v16 and one of you says to them, "Depart in peace, be warmed and filled," but you do not give them the things they need for the body, what does it profit? v17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.  v18 But someone will say, " You have faith and I have works". Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.

The book of James is so practical and down to earth, very easy to understand.  Some have called it "the gospel put to shoe leather."  James has a very pointed way of making the gospel come alive, and he shows us ways that we can make the gospel more effective in bringing people to the Lord Jesus.  Compassion for the multitudes prompted Jesus to pray for them, cast out demons, and also feed them when they were hungry.  He didn't want them to go back to their villages hungry after being out in the country for an extended period of time.  Faith to believe in God is one measure, but faith put into action is a greater measure.  James says, "Without the works to go along with faith, the faith is dead."  Beloved, we are experiencing serious inflation here in Kenya, enough so many families are coming to the church without food in the house.  Cost of all basic commodities has risen dramatically the last four months.  In addition, we are feeding on average 150 children at our Fun Day every other week.  Others of our orphan children are still needing school fees for this opening term of school. Can you help us make a difference in Makunda village?  Even a donation of  $50 or $100 will go a long way to feed many children.  Put your faith into action, you will be blessed and God will get the glory!  May God bless you as you pray.

Blood of the Innocents

Dear beloved:  Pics, Kinze of Encounter Team USA teaching children; Living Water children spreading compost

Jeremiah 19:4 "Because they have forsaken Me, and made this an alien place, because they have burned incense in it to other gods whom neither they, their fathers, nor the kings of Judah have known, and have filled this place with the blood of the innocents v5 (they have also built the high places of Baal, to burn thier sons with fire for burnt offerings to Baal, which I did not command or speak, nor did it come into My mind), v6 therefore behold, the days are coming," says the Lord, "that this place shall no more be called Tophet or the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, but the Valley of Slaughter."

Beloved, many people try to support the argument for abortion saying, we don't bother to take care of the ones that are already living  We thank the Lord for the privilege of taking care of His children, it is an awesome responsiblilty.  I can't tell all the stories of their lives, it would make your heart ache and cry. The Body of Christ steps up in Kenya and many African nations to help support the children, house and clothe them, get them into school, and most importantly, teach them about Jesus.  Because of their knowledge of Christ, they know they have a hope and a future. Abortion is illegal here in Kenya, as it is in most African nations, the people fight for their children. At times because of difficult circumstances, the children lose parents or are given up, but for the majority, children are their source of pride and joy.  In a country where the average Kenyan makes $1,000 per year, the people make great sacrifices to raise and school their children.  Join with Gather the Outcasts as we take care of God's precious ones. We are trusting God for all the school fees for 30 children, and to provide for all their needs.  Pray about your part in supporting the children of Living Water Children's Home.  May God bless you as you pray!

End Times Evangelism

Dear beloved: pics, Crusades in Mbeya, Tanzania, 2021,2020

2 Timothy 2:4 I charge you in the presence of God and Jesus Christ, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His apprearing and His kingdom v2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.  v3 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, v4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and will wander off into myths.

Beloved, this very weekend tens of thousands of believers have gathered in Kansas City, USA, to hear the call to be sent to preach the truth of the gospel to all the nations.  That gathering is a fulfillment of prophecy spoken forty years ago, so God is confirming His word to those who have been obedient and patiently waited on Him over the many years before it came to pass. . Even the Apostle Paul, in reminding his spiritual son Timothy, (1 Timothy 1:18), that in accordance with prophecies spoken about Timothy, he could wage the good warfare.  Beloved, we are in a battle!  My own calling to Africa was stirred by a prophetic dream in which God showed me He wanted me to go and preach the gospel to the nations; that He would give the message, the intercessors, the provision, the platform.  Everything I needed He would supply if I trusted Him and stepped out in obedience. The world is becoming increasingly desperate and hungry for truth, unfortunately, many won't find the truth unless someone gets to them to preach the good news of the gospel..Faith in Jesus comes by hearing, but how will they hear unless someone preaches to them? Pray about your part in sending evangelists from Gather the Outcasts Ministry to the lost and dying of Africa.  As you send, we can go!  May God bless you as you pray.

Rejoice Always

Dear beloved: Pics, children showing off new clothes; Tanzania Crusade, 2020

Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always, again I say rejoice! v5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. v6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; v7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Beloved, this is the challenge for our day, to turn our anxiety over to the Lord through prayer and thanksgiving. Easier said than done!  For those in the USA, most have not had the life challenges that people in other parts of the world have to live with on a daily basis.  For most, life in the USA has been easy; food is plentiful, housing, medical care, and education are easily obtained.  Now we are starting to get a glimpse of the chaos and mayhem that will prevail at the end of the age when the antichrist comes on the scene. We can sit and cry "Come Lord Jesus, come!", or we can get busy reaching the lost with the hope of the gospel. There are so many that don't know Jesus as Savior, we need to be crying, "Jesus, open the doors to minister".  Ask the Lord where He wants you to go or be most effective, and wait for a door of opportunity.   Or maybe you can send those to the battlefield who are already engaged.  Pray about your part!  I have been in USA for just a short time and will be returning to Kenya shortly.  Can you help with the plane ticket?  Our children at the home are still needing some school fees if you are able. May God bless you as you pray.!

Deliverance

Dear beloved; pics, Altar call at Tarime, TZ; Crusade; Kirundo, Burundi Crusade 2019

Mark 5:6 When he (Gadarene demoniac) saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him. v7 And he cried out, with a loud voice and said, "What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God that You do not torment me."  V8 For Jesus said to him, "Come out of the man, unclean spirit!"  v9 Then He asked him, "What is your name?"  And he answered, saying, "My name is Legion, for we are many."  v10 The he begged Him earnestly that He would not send them out of the country.

Beloved, one of the more beautiful moves of God that we consistently see in the crusades is people getting deliverance from witchcraft and other types of demonic oppression. Can people receive deliverance in a minute, in a heartbeat?  In the above scripture, Jesus casts out the unclean spirits and sends them into a herd of swine.  Legion, formerly a dysfunctional, violent outcast living among the tombs, is then seen sitting and clothed, and in his right mind.  And the people who had known him were now afraid. (v15)  When the Holy Spirit and the power of God show up, the demons have to flee, they do not have the authority to stay when they are commanded to go.  Jesus said in Luke 4:18, " I came to to proclaim liberty to the captives, recovery of sight to the blind, and to set at liberty those who are oppressed."  We are seeing all this happen at Gather the Outcasts crusades.  All glory goes to God, it is the power of the God to save and deliver.  Apostle Paul said it in 1 Corinthians 2:4, "And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstrations of the Spirit and power; that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God."  Thank you for your prayers and support for the gospel crusades. We are planning to go back to Tanzania in January for crusades in Arusha. Back on the home front in Kenya, we are embarking on a project to build a posho mill (maize flour) business for the church to benefit the people of Makunda village.  We need $2,000 to bring in electricity and purchase all the necessary equipment.  Pray about your part in helping us get it up and going. May God bless you as you pray!

Mbeya Report

Dear beloved:  Pics  crowd shot at Uyole, Mbeya TZ; worship choir from one of participating churches

Isaiah 55:10 For as the rain comes down, and snow from heaven, and do not return there but water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, v11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;  It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the purpose for which I sent it.

Beloved, the Word of God went forth in Mbeya and brought in a great harvest of souls.  Nearly 500 people came forward to make salvation decisions, many young adults and teens.  Many more were delivered of witchcraft spirits, for freedom Christ set them free!  God's power went forth over the crusade grounds for five days, and worship was over the mountain with Bony Mwaitege and Martha Baraka, along with many more local artists and choirs. It was truly a time of joy and jubilation! Check out my facebook page for more great pictures.  We are praying about a summer crusade in Tanzania as the door remains open there for big meetings.  Thank you to all who supported and prayed for the Mbeya crusade, it was truly a memorable time.  I have a new book on spiritual warfare ready to publish, it is called "The Battle is Raging".  I am trusting the Lord for $2,000 to get it published and into your hands, can you pray about your part in helping get it published?  May God bless you as you pray!

Glory in the Lord

Dear beloved: Pics, altar call day 3, Mbeya, TZ;  crowd shot, Mbeya Crusade

Jeremiah 9:23 Thus says the Lord, "Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, Let not the mighty man glory in his might, Nor let the rich man glory in his riches; v24 But let him who glories glory in this, That he knows Me and understands Me, That I am the Lord, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth.  For in these I delight", says the Lord.

Beloved, we wanted very much to stay up on that high mountain at Uyole, Mbeya, but alas, at the end of the crusade we had to come down and get back to the flatland and the trenches.  Monday, on the way out of town, it was pouring down the rain that the Lord had held off for the five days of the crusade.  It was showers of blessings in the natural that had already been sown in the spirit.  I thought of the scripture above as I remenisced about all the singers, pastors, and church choirs that came to sing, praise, and work for the Lord.  We had such fun together and no one was taking the glory away from the Lord.  The Bible says the "yoke of the Lord is easy, and His burden is light."  We definitely felt that in Mbeya.  We invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts Ministry as we take the uplifting, soul saving good news of the gospel to the lost and hurting in Africa. As you send, we are able to go.  Thank you so much for your prayers and support.  God bless you as you pray!

Hosanna in the Highest!

Dear beloved:  pics, children at Living Water; stand of cow peas for soil building and green vegetables

Matt 21:8 Then a very great multitude spread their clothes on the road; others cut down branches from the trees and spread them on the road. v9  Then the multitudes who went before, and those who followed after, cried out, saying, " Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!  Hosanna in the highest!"

Beloved, when Jesus came into Jerusalem, he was given a hero's welcome, and the people hailed him as the prophet from Nazareth of Galilee.  Yet a week later, some of the same crowd participated in the mocking, and eventually the crucifiction of our Lord and Savior.  Jesus saw first hand how fickle the emotions and passion of men can be. Had he not been the Son of God it would have been very easy for Him to abandon the whole mission and retreat to the country.  May God grant us the mercy to always stay humble and thank Him in every situation, for we know that we, too, can be fickle and easily persuaded.  May we grow in maturity to be steadfast in our love, devotion, service of our Lord Jesus.  Gather the Outcasts is dedicated to the idea that Jesus wants every person to grow into the image of Him.  That gives us reason to keep pressing forward, to not look back but keep looking ahead to the upward prize of the call of God in Christ Jesus!  We invite you to partner with Gather the Outcasts as we take the good news of the gospel to the nations of Africa.  May God bless you as you pray!

High Praise!

Dear beloved:  Pics, Mbeya 2021 Crusade Poster; Mbeya, 2019

Psalm 147  Praise the Lord!  For it is good to sing praises to our God; For it is pleasant, and praise is beautiful. v2 The Lord builds up Jerusalem; He gathers together the outcasts of Israel. v3 He heals up the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.  v4 He counts the number of stars; He calls them all by name. v5  Great is the Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite.

Beloved, at Gather the Outcasts crusades, we believe in giving the Lord the high praise that He is due.  A good portion of the budget for each crusade is spent on bringing in the best singers and worship leaders possible. Praise opens up people's hard hearts so they can receive the good news of the gospel.  Africans love to dance and sing, and the messages of the songs also speak to the people in ways that sometimes the preaching can't.  The Psalmist says, "Praise is beautiful."  Psalm 40:3 says, "He has put a new song in my mouth- Praise to our God; many will see it and fear, and will trust in the Lord".  So our praise can cause others to fear the Lord, and desire to come to Him.  Thank you for your prayers and support.  We could still use some more travel money, as we will be taking Covid test both going out and coming back to Kenya.  We invite you to support this great crusade.  May God bless you as you pray!
