Sexual Immorality:A Choice

Dear beloved: Since marriage between one man and one woman is a pillar in God's kingdom, it is not surprising that sexual perversion is on the rise here in America and around the world. Paul says in Phillipians 2:15 that you may prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world, v16 holding fast the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may have cause to glory because I did not run in vain nor toil in vain. Nothing has really changed much in the world, we who are called Christians are still lights in this perverse world. I fully expect in the days ahead a decree will come from the courts or an administration that will declare the preaching and teaching of the gospel in regards to sexual perversion to be held illegal, and those who violate that decree will be subject to state persecution and prison sentences.

When the Pharisees asked Jesus in Matthew 19:3 if it is lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any cause at all, v4 He answered and said, "Have you not read, that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female (from Genesis 2:24), and said v5, and For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh? v6 Consequently they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate." It is interesting to see that cultures that are not Christian hold to the model of man and woman coming together in marriage and see the perversion in homosexuality, that it goes against all that is natural. Recently a celebrity has come out as a lesbian and declared that her desire to be a lesbian is strictly a matter of her own choice, that she was not "born that way", nor is it a matter of DNA or other genetic determination. Predictably she is under fire from the homosexual establishment who have worked tirelessly to cultivate the idea that homosexuality is predetermined, and those that adopt it as a lifestyle have no choice in the matter. I grant that some are bent that way due to upbringing and generation curses, but by the grace of God many who are inclined in that direction and even those who have practiced it have come out of that lifestyle, and there are thousands in Christian ministries who have come out that are reaching out to minister to those still trapped.

I once led a prayer and fasting vigil in a church when a young lady came up and asked for prayer. I laid hands on her and prayed for the devil to go from her and that the Holy Spirit of God come into her life and lead her to victory. Little did I know what all was going on in her life! She told me months later that the prayer pierced her (the word of God is quick and powerful) and she went home and packed up her belongings, moved out from her 8 year long lesbian relationship, and moved in with an elder of the church for protection and nurturing. Just like that the Spirit of the living God set her free; obviously the time was right for her and she was hungry for the truth to set her free, a precondition for any of us to find and keep a walk of freedom with Jesus Christ.

Continue to pray diligently for those family members and others who are trapped in immoral sexual behavior. Jesus said in Luke 4:18 "The spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who are downtrodden." May God bless you this day as you pray. Sanctity of Marriage

Dear beloved: The second kingdom pillar that is being shaken to its foundation (Psalm 11:3, if the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?) is the pillar of marriage between one man and one woman. Since this is a kingdom pillar, it is not surprising that the enemy would try his best to destroy it. Genesis 1:27 And God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. v28 And God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea, and the birds of the sky, and over every living thing that moves on the earth." Notice two things of importance from this scripture, one is that God blessed the union of male and female, and second that He told them to be fruitful and multiply. So the coming together of male and female in a blessed union by God's design, was God's way of populating the earth with the next generation of Godloving children; it's no wonder all the forces of hell are lined up against one man-one woman marriage.

The attacks from the enemy come in many forms and seem to be relentless in their persistence to destroy God's defintion of marriage: adultery, fornication, and cohabitation among many people shying away from marriage, pornography, and perversions such as homosexuality and bisexuality. The homosexual agenda in particular has found an easy target in the young people of this country, many of whom do not know the word of God nor have the foresight to see the ramifications of wholesale adoption of this lifestyle choice for themselves or for others. When God created Eve as a wife for Adam, He blessed their union in Gen 2:24 For this cause a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and they shall become one flesh. v25 And the man and the wife were both naked and were not ashamed. It is interesting to note the man and his wife were not ashamed; just a generation ago few homosexuals in America were openly touting their sexuality, and now we have homosexual gay pride parades in many cities as well as the seventh state of Washington prepared to adopt passage of a bill to legalize homosexual "marriage". God declared in His word in Leviticus 18:22, "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination." Many other passages in both the old and new testaments, including the story of Sodom and Gomorrah, warn against this sin and God repeatedly states that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 6:9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate(male prostitutes),nor homosexuals, v10 nor theives, nor the covetous, nor drundards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

So what can the righteous do? If you are living in sin (you are not righteous), in some kind of lifestyle that is sexually immoral, get out of it immediately. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee immorality. Every other sin that a man commits is outside his body, but the immoral man sins against his own body. If you have family members trapped in homosexuality or other immoral behavior, know that God has not given up on them, that He loves them and does not wish for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance and the knowledge of salvation. Pray for them unceasingly, bind and loose in the name of Jesus, and then watch and wait for the Lord to move. Some may choose to stay in that lifestyle and therefore suffer eternal condemnation, but let it be said that you or I never gave up praying for them. I have seen the Lord move in mighty ways in men in the prison to set them free from all types of immorality, with God anything is possible. So keep praying and believe! God bless you, in Christ, Jim

The Blood Payment

Dear beloved: As the blood of the innocents cries out from the land, we know it reaches the ears of Almighty God, and that God who measures and weighs all things will eventually call for a payment to be made for all that innocent shed blood. When God established a covenant with Noah after the flood, God said to him in Genesis 9:5 "And surely I will require your lifeblood; from every beast I will require it. And from every man from every man's brother I will require the life of man. v6 Whoever sheds man's blood, by man his blood shall be shed, For in the image of God He made man. v7 And as for you, be fruitful and multiply; Populate the earth abundantly and multiply in it." And God repeats this in Numbers 35:33 when He establishes cities of refuge for people to run to when they have accidentally taken the life of someone. He says, "so you shall not pollute the land in which you are; for blood pollutes the land and no expiation(payment) can be made for the land for the blood that is shed on it, except by the blood of him who shed it." And so we see that when 50 million babies' blood is shed on the land, a payment is due that staggers the imagination, and only by the mercy of God do we stand today to continue this ruthless destruction of God's most treasured creation.

Psalm 106 is a story, a recap of the journey of the children of Israel in the wilderness and in the promised land. In verse 37 the Lord tells us They even sacrificed theirs sons and daughters to the demons, v38 and shed innocent blood, The blood of their sons and daughters, Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan And the land was polluted with the blood. V39 Thus they became unclean in their practices, and played the harlot in their deeds. V40 Therefore, the anger of the Lord was kindled against His people, And He abhorred His inheritance. V41 Then He gave them into the hand of the nations; And those who hated them ruled over them. v42 Their enemies also oppressed them, And they were subdued under their power. v43 Many times He would deliver them; They, however, were rebellious in their counsel, and so sank down in their iniquity. And so we see that as the children of Israel played the harlot with the demons, so too are we playing the harlot with the demons established to destroy this country. The blood of the innocents is fueling the demonization of this nation, and is in large part responsible for the murder, rape, child molestation, and cold hearted disregard that many people have for each other; the spirit of lawlessness starts at the top and goes into every aspect of our society.

We need to get on our knees and pray for this nation, for its leaders, for our court judges and for those doctors and nurses in the abortion industry. Pray that the Lord would touch their hearts and lead them back to a place of righteousness and holiness, that they would not agree with any legislation or direction that would take this nation further down the path of destruction and a certain impending judgment. For the sake of our children and grandchildren it is imperative that we vote into office those who would work to turn back Roe vs. Wade and any other legislation that contiunes to fuel the demonization of America. The Blood Cries Out From the Ground

Dear beloved: The scripture we have been looking at is Psalm 11:3 If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? This piercing question the Lord asks of the faithful, for it is up to us to do something to turn America around and get it headed in the right direction. The foundations are cracked and shaking, and unless the righteous get on their knees and cry out to the Lord, to humble themselves and turn from their wicked ways, the pillars of God's kingdom in America will crumble completely to the ground. Beloved, I am really feeling a sense of urgency and a call to prayer as we look at this year unfolding before us. So what are the pillars of God's kingdom here on this earth?

The first is declared in Genesis 1:26, that human life is precious, a priceless gift from God, and that we are all created in His image. Gen. 1:26 Then God said, "Let us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." And so each of us is made in the image of God and given dominion and authority over the other creatures on the earth. In addition, God declares over us a prohetic destiny, a calling, that is ours to pursue and seek, by His grace and His strength and leading in our lives. Jeremiah 1:4 Now the word of the Lord came to me saying, v5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations." v6 Then I said, "Alas, Lord God! Behold, I do not know how to speak, because I am a youth." v7 But the Lord said to me, "Do not say, I am a youth, Because everywhere I send you, you shall go, And all that I command you, you shall speak. v8 Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you," declares the Lord. And again in Psalm 139:16, Thine eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Thy book they were all written, The days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them, v17 How precious also are Thy thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them! and so God knows us and loves us and has declared His destiny over us, even the number of our days. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for calamity, to give you a future and a hope. v12 Then you will call on Me and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.

As we reflect on the anniversary of the Supreme Court decision Roe vs. Wade that gave license to unrestricted abortion in this country in 1973, we can see how the outcome of that decision has changed the prohetic destiny not only of the 50 million babies that have been aborted, but also the millions of the women and men who would have been their earthly parents. And so the prophetic destiny of this whole nation has been altered. When I came back to America a few years ago after preaching in Costa Rica, where abortion is illegal and the national motto is Pura Vida!, pure life!, I came into the Atlanta airport and immediately felt a feeling of darkness and oppression hanging over this nation. the Lord spoke to me and said, "this is the spirit of death from abortion that is oppressing this nation", a huge demonic principality that torments every man, woman, and child. The cry of the innocents blood goes up from the land, just as God spoke to Cain in Genesis 4:10 "What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood is crying to Me from the ground. v11 And now you are cursed from the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brothers blood from your hand." And so the cries of the innocents go up, and we reap the curse. Beloved, this is a call to pray, to reverse Roe vs. Wade and remove this curse from our land. May God bless you this day as you pray. The Tenfold Increase in Wisdom and Understanding

Dear beloved: I have been in a Daniel fast the past two weeks, praying for my family, country, and direction and provision for the ministry and open doors the Lord has given. The Lord has really impressed upon me a few verses from His word, the primary one being Psalm 11:3 "If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?" I have been preaching on this as well at the prison as I believe it is important for all of to take stock of where we are as Christians in relation to our walk with the Lord, as well as where we stand with other believers and nonbelievers. Suffice it to say this country is in grave danger in every way: economic collapse, moral decay, enemies within and without ready to take us out, and I could go on and on. It is easy to focus on our failures as individuals and as a nation and then fear begins to overwhelm and consume us, and as a result we do nothing. But the Lord asks a piercing question, " what can the righteous do?"

When I think about Daniel and his situation, it is obvious that he was in a very precarious situation himself, much more so in a way than we are. He was in captivity, not in a cell as such, but he and his people were captive to the Babylonians who had besieged Jerusalem and taken them all off as captives to a foreign land. Some of God's people didn't survive the siege and the trip and the subsequent captivity, so in a sense Daniel had much to be thankful for. But he knew the only hope for himself and his people was to continue to cry out to his God in any and all circumstances, which is what he did. That is the lesson for us also, that in any and every circumstance we must continue to cry out to God, He alone is the one ray of hope for us as individuals and as a nation. After Daniel and his friends fasted they proved to the king through their appearance to be fairer and fatter in flesh than all the other children which ate the king's meat. In addition to their countenance rising, Daniel 1:17 tells us, as for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams. And again in verse 20, And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm. Isn't it great to know that there is a path to wisdom and understanding that is ten times better than the path the wicked of the world has chosen to lead them down the path of life? The world's way practiced in the time of Daniel is still the way today: astrology, psychic hot lines, secular counseling, many other occult practices, and education relying on intellect and man's wisdom. God's way is illustrated by Daniel and his friends in their obedience to the Lord in prayer and fasting, devotion to the Lord even in the face of extreme persecution, even to the extent of going into the fire and the lion's den in defense of their faith and obedience to the Lord.

If you are lacking direction, wisdom, and understanding for your life, I would highly suggest you enter into a Daniel fast, or any kind of a fast, such as water only, or whatever the Lord calls you to do. The new year of 2012 is just beginning, this is the time to prioritize, renew, and rededicate your life to following Jesus with passion and wisdom. If you have a ministry or a calling, its a great time to reevaluate and ask the Lord for increased wisdom and understanding, to go after that ten fold increase that Daniel received. If you have not moved into your calling, now is the time to get started, as the days are growing short and there is great urgency about sharing the gospel. 1 Thessalonians 5:6 Paul says, Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. Daniel Fast for Clarity

Dear beloved: Now is a a great time to fast for clarity and rededication of purpose as we transition from 2011 into 2012. It is good to rest and be restored, and the best way to do that is with a time of fasting and intensified prayer. I have been in a Daniel fast this year as I have for several years past, and already the spiritual and physical benefits are being poured out on me in abundance. From Daniel 1:12, Daniel said to the overseer, " please test your servants for ten days, and let us be given some vegetables (pulses) to eat and some water to drink. v13 Then let our appearance be observed in your presence, and the appearance of the youths who are eating the king's choice food; and deal with your servants according to what you see." And again in Daniel 10:2 In those days, I, Daniel, had been mourning for three entire weeks. v3 I did not eat any tasty food, nor did meat or wine enter my mouth, nor did I use any ointment at all, until the entire three weeks was completed.

So twice in the book of Daniel, he speaks of a special diet in relation to prayer and obtaining favor, both spiritually and in physical apppearance. Basically the Daniel fast as it is practiced today is primarily a vegetable, fruit, legume, and whole grain diet, with plenty of freedom of choice that anyone with any desire to fast can easily conform to the restrictions. The results of it for you and me are exactly the same as it was for Daniel, as we read in Daniel 1:15, And at the end of ten days their appearance seemed better and they were fatter than all the youths who had been eating the king's choice food. v16 So the overseer continued to withhold their choice food and the wine they were to drink, and kept giving them vegetables. v17 And as for these four youths, God gave them knowledge and intelligence in every branch of literature and wisdom; Daniel even understood all kinds of dreams and visions.

The result of Daniel's fast in Daniel 10 was even more profound: after three weeks of fasting and prayer Daniel was visited by the angel of the Lord. His physical description was given in verses five and six, and then the purpose of the visit was spoken in verse 11; and he said to me, "O Daniel, man of high esteem, understand the words than I am about to tell you and stand upright, for I have now been sent to you." And when he had spoken this word to me, I stood up trembling." v12 The he said to me, " Do not be afraid, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart on understanding this and on hmbling yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to your words." And so as a result of humbling himself, and fasting and praying for three weeks, Daniel is given great favor and and a visit from the angel of the Lord. When the angel of the Lord visits you, you know victory is at hand! Beloved, are their issues in your life where you need to see victory, or you need clarity and a renewed vigor? Consider fasting for renewal and watch God work in your life. He will show up with power and restore and rejuvenate you, and prepare you in even greater measure for the year ahead. New Year's Greeting

Dear beloved: As we gaze into the future on the eve of the new year 2012, and reflect on the past year, it is good to remember that
God is in control and that He holds us in the palm of His hand. So it is with great anticipation that I look forward to 2012, and I send you greetings and best wishes for the coming year; may you realize your dreams!

I have been in Kansas City the last few days at the International House of Prayer One Thing conference, where a gathering of 25,000 people have come to praise the Lord and listen to hours of teaching each day. It is an awesome sight to see the Body of Christ come together with such strength and power! Psalm 95:1 O come let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation v2 Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto Him with Psalms. v3 For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.v50 come let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker. v7 For He is our God: and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. Today if you will hear His voice, do not harden your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness.

The future of our nation and the inheritance of the nations lies within the grasp of these young people who are so on fire for the Lord. It is so encouraging to see it! I have also learned that the 24/7 prayer movement started in Kansas City 12 years ago at the International House of Prayer is now a full fledged global movement; it is happening in just about every nation in every part of the world, and in many cities in the United States. As the end days draw near and with it the return of Jesus Christ, the night and day prayers of the saints will go up before the throne at the same time that extreme wickedness will envelop the earth. Prey about your part in establishing a prayer movement in your city or place of worship. Even just one hour or one day a week will add to the stream, and your prayers will bless the area you live in as the Lord dispatches His mighty angels in response to your prayers. Revelation 5:8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours(incense), which are the prayers of the saints. v9 And they sang a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and has redeemed us to God by the blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation: v10 And has made us unto our God kings and priests; and we shall reign the earth.

The Lord is preparing us to live and reign with Him. As you pray about 2012 and what you hope to accomplish for the Lord and His kingdom, pray that He will use you in a greater way to prepare the earth and hasten the day of His coming. God bless you, in Christ, Jim

Christmas Newsletter 2011

Dear beloved: Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! It is with great joy that I send out this letter as we dedicate this season to remembering the birth of our Lord. May you and your family be blessed beyond measure during this season. As I reflect back on 2011, I am very thankful for all the doors opened and the victories won for the kingdom over the past year.
The highlight of the year was the conducting of successful crusades in Kenya. In the two crusades, one in Kibera-Nairobi and the other in Mumias in west Kenya, we saw over 900 people give their lives to the Lord. In addition many reports came in for weeks and months after about miraculous healings, instant deliverances, and churches swollen beyond capacity as a result of the crusades. Praise the Lord! God is opening many doors over there for me to preach not only in Kenya, but also Uganda and Tanzania. Pray with me that the provision for another great summer of crusades will come in, as God has specifically shown me open doors in these countries, and even provided the possibility of teaming up with some great worship leaders and muscians from here in the states as well as Kenya for an even greater outpouring of His Holy Spirit when we go into those countries.
In addition, I have teamed with two ministries in Kenya to help them with projects they are undertaking. The first, a Christian school in Nairobi under the leadership of Pastor Boniface Mosoti is in need of money for supplies such as school supplies and food for about 100 children. The second is the building of an orphanage outside of Mumias, this project is under the direction of Pastor Lucas Obanda. His church is already supporting about 30 orphan children and they would like to build an orphanage to house them on land that the pastor owns. Please pray about helping to support one or both of these worthwhile projects, either with a one time gift or a monthly offering; they are both very worthwhile and your money will go directly to these ministries. Also if you think you would like to go to Africa for two weeks next summer or fall, let me know as we will be taking a team to help with the preaching, music, and work in the school and orphanges. The cost per person would be approximately $3,000 for the trip, depending of coarse on how long a stay as well as the fluctuating price of air fare. Dates for the trip are undetermined at this time, but let me know if you think you might be interested.
I continue to preach in the prison on a weekly basis, as well as this year we had several successful big yard revivals with visiting groups in the prison. This upcoming weekend we are doing our annual Christmas revivals, one on the medium side, and one on the minimum, complete with snack trays and lots of music and preaching. It is a joy to see so many in the prison get broken and delivered of all kinds of bondage, it is such a rewarding ministry. I also continue with a weekly Sunday morning radio broadcast on the local station KQNK AM-FM in Norton. This station reaches into the prison and out to about 50 miles over the region with good teaching and gospel music for one hour every Sunday morning. Pray with me that the Lord would expand the radio ministry also.

Renew Your Mind pt3

Dear beloved: The enemy of our souls wants to destroy us and take us away from the kingdom of God. He does this in many ways, but one of the most pervasive ways in the modern day is through the use of the psychotropic drugs. (please read Renew Your Mind pt2) It is interesting to note that the word soul in the Greek language is the word we translate psyche, our mind, heart, the immaterial and eternal part of our inner person. The related word psycho in the Greek language means to grow or to wax cold. That is certainly what happens when the enemy gets in and attacks our mind(soul), he tries to get our passion for God to wax cold. In Psalm 42:1 David admits he is very dry. He cries out "As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants for Thee, O God. v2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; when shall I come and appear before God? v3 My tears have been my food day and night, While they say to me all day long, Where is your God?" v4 These things I remember, and I pour out my soul within me. For I used to go along with the throng and lead them in procession to the house of the Lord. With the voice of joy and thanksgiving, a multitude keeping festival. And so we see that being dry, in despair, and shedding tears is part of the human condition; there are times in our life when we will all find ourself in that condition.

Just as demons of alcoholism feed off alcohol, and demons of gluttony feed off excess food consumption, so too demons of mental illness and disturbed minds feed off the psychotropic drugs. The demonic root of these drugs is driven by the spirit of sorcery (gr.pharmakeia), or witchcraft. It is driven by the desire of the enemy to control our minds; that is what witches and witchcraft do, they control others. The world's solution to our states of despair is to control our minds, so that we wax cold towards God. This was illustrated to me recently when after a deliverance session with a young lady who was very troubled in her mind, she was delivered of most all of the demons that were tormenting her, and eventually the spirit of pharmakeia was broken off her. She was in her right mind and receiving willingly the word of God and instruction for her life. But within a day some well meaning believers who had no idea of the warfare going on with the sorcery demons, came in and convinced her she needed the psychotropic drugs again for her continued well being. Within a day she was closed up, waxed cold, and not receiving in the way she had before. The sorcery demons got fed and were fired up again, just about all that was gained in the deliverance was quickly lost.

Notice David gives God's alternative to the psychotropic drugs in Psalm 42:5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted within me? Hope (wait for) thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of His countenance (presence). And again in v6 O my God, my soul is in despair within me; Therefore I remember Thee from the land of the Jordan, and the peaks of Hermon, from Mount Mizar. So David says, God, I am going to put my hope in You, wait for You, praise You for the help of Your presence, and remember You from the lowest valleys to the highest mountains. If you are stuggling with depression and an unstable mind, cry out to the Lord, He will hear your cry; He will lift your head. Read the Psalms out loud so your spirit and soul hear the words and receive them. Praise the Lord for the smallest victories and even the air that you breathe, the earth under your feet or under your bed if you are bedfast. Stretch your faith and believe that God has something better for you than to be in bondage to drugs. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 And may the God of peace sanctify you wholly: and I pray your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Dear beloved: The push is on by the psychopharma industry to enslave every American and people all across the earth to the psychotropic drugs that have been tailored to make our lives "better". There is no emotion or feeling that you can have in your natural body that the makers of these drugs, in hand with the mental health professionals who prescribe them, will not attempt to placate or enhance your peace of mind so that you can live in a state of peaceful bliss here on this earth. This is driven by a huge lie from the pit of hell; the very idea that drugs can be the ultimate source of your bliss is a false premise that has been very successfully marketed to the masses, but it is also a lie because ultimately all it is about is making billions of dollars for the drug companies and the doctors involved in this wicked scheme. As the end times draw near, understand the desire of these companies is to enslave all of us, even down to the youngest children who will be screened at an early age to spot "anomalies" in their personalities. And as the end times draw near, the intensity of the beginning of sorrows Jesus spoke about in Matthew 24:8 will increase to the point many people will desparately seek any solution to their anxiety and emotional burdens. And so psychopharma will be ready and willing to give out the samples free of charge to any and all who come into their snare. Matthew 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall grow cold. Expect that because the love of many will grow cold, you will be persecuted, betrayed, ridiculed, lied to, maybe even put in jail! Not exactly a bowl of cherries, but our hope is not in this world, nor in the systems and solutions of this world for the problems we encounter.

Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 2:14 The natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him; neither can he know them, for they are spiritually discerned. v15 But he that is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. v16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ. And so we can learn from this that because we have the mind of Christ, we do not need to look to the world's answers when we have our peace disturbed, or our soul shaken by the events and circumstances around us. We receive from the Holy Spirit the counsel for our lives, our health, our finances, our decisions that we make regarding every detail of our life which ultimately determines our peace of mind. In the time of sorrows it will not be easy to find joy; it will not come from the world, it will come from knowing Jesus Christ and having your feet firmly planted on the rock. All who have their feet established on the shifting sands of this world will be shaken off.

If you have already fallen into the trap of trusting the psychopharma solutions for your peace of mind, you are not condemned. There is no condemnation in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1), which also tells us that we walk not after the flesh but after the spirit. Therefore, start to pursue the Spirit of God's solutions for your problems. Start trusting the Lord for His promises for you, that He wants to heal you and care for you in every detail of your life, including your thoughts, emotions, and the deepest recesses of your soul. When the lawyer came to Jesus and asked Him, what is the greatest commandment in the law?, Jesus responded this way Matthew 22:37 "Thou shall love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, all thy soul, and all thy mind. v38 this is the first and greatest commandment. v39 And the second is like unto it, thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself. v40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." If we learn to love the Lord with all our heart, soul, and mind, don't you think the Lord has the power to give us a sound mind and the peace to go with it? I believe He does, and that is His will for every man, woman, and child on this earth. Trust the Lord today, build up your faith in Him, and let Him establish in you the mind of Christ. Dear beloved: I have recently been in deliverance sessions with people who are troubled in their mind and have had their peace stolen by the devil, the enemy of our souls. This we see is a trend that is sweeping across America and the world, the disturbance of our peace and the world's desire to fix or placate that peace with psychotropic drugs, street drugs, alcohol and things of that nature. Many people are lashing out with violence at those even that they love the most; shootings within families followed by suicide are a daily occurrence in the news. What is God's solution to our troubled minds, and our despairing souls? We see in Psalms 42:5 David cries out to the Lord, Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him for the help of His presence. v6 O my God, my soul is in despair within me; therefore I remember Thee from the land of the Jordan; And the peaks of Hermon, from Mount Mizar.

There are times in our lives when we are going to get rocked to the core of our being, when our souls are going to be in despair. The events of the coming years in America are going to shake even the strongest of us, yes, even those of us who have our feet firmly planted on the Rock Jesus Christ. David's advice is still the best and should be taken to heart: Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him for the help of His presence. David says it doesn't matter where I am, from the land of the Jordan, the lowest valley, to the highest peaks of Hermon, I will remember my God and praise Him all the while. From the low to the high and everywhere in between I will praise Him. Psalm 42:10 As a shattering of my bones, my adversaries revile me, while they say to me all day long, "Where is your God?" v11 Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance, and my God.

When you get troubled by the enemy and he attacks your mind, know that the warfare you are going through was the very same warfare that David was writing about in the Psalms. The Psalms are songs of praise and encouragement, but they are also songs and stories of warfare battles. The enemy hasn't changed his tactics since the time of David and before: he still comes to steal, kill, and destroy and one his favorite targets is our mind. The battlefield is the mind! An effective weapon against the enemy is to speak out loud, or read out loud, psalms of praise and thanksgiving, speak it out so the enemy can hear it, and your own ears can hear the testimony coming from your mouth. Put your hope and your trust in the Lord, the help of your countenance. Speak out loud, Psalm 43:3 O Lord, send out Your light and Your truth,let them lead me; Let them bring me to Your holy hill, and to Your dwelling places. v4 Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy; And upon the lyre I shall praise You, O God, my God. Occupy Till I Come

Dear beloved: We are watching the future of America unfold in two events that have exploded across our news screens in recent days. The first is the Occupy Wall Street Movement(or any available park in major cities across America). This Occupy movement is a picture of the prophetic future of America as many in the country are occupiers but they are not contributors, they are very intent on taking but not on giving; all they can see about America is what they perceive to be wrong. This movement is driven by a demonic root of envy and covetousness, they want what others have without having to work and sacrifice to obtain it. I for one am very thankful for banks, I have used the services of my local banks for maintaining savings accounts,for car loans and for purchasing land, and I have used the services of distant banks for credit card purchases. What does Occupy Wall Street even want, ultimately it comes down to a venting of anger and frustration because they see others with more and they desire it.

Jesus spoke a parable to his disciples in Luke 19:12 He said therefore," A certain nobleman went to a distant country to receive a kingdom for himself, and then return. v13 And he called his 10 slaves, and gave them ten minas, and said to them, "occupy (do business)with this until I come back." As the parable progresses, the master comes back and receives an accounting of all that was done with the mina that each received. Those that invested their mina wisely, put it to use to make more, were given praise and increased authority over many cities. But the one who was lazy and faithless and kept his mina stashed away in a handkerchief, Jesus scolded and took the mina away from him and gave it to the one who already had ten, saying, v26 "I tell you that to everyone who has shall more be given, but from the one who does not have, even what he does have shall be taken away. v27 But these enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and slay them in my presence." This is Jesus idea of occupy, to be productive and thrifty and make more of what you have been given, the exact antithesis of what the Occupy movement is all about.

The second news story that gives us a glimpse of the future happened last week on the Penn State University campus. The allegations of sexual perversion and child rape against a former coach at Penn State rippled though the campus and brought down several administrators as well as head coach Joe Paterno. The announcement that Paterno had been fired touched off a riot in the surrounding campus area that included a vehicle being torched and other acts of vandalism and mayhem. Paul wrote to Timothy in 1 Timothy v9 Realize the fact that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their mothers and fathers, for murderers v10 and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching.

The spirit of lawlessness released at Penn State was in agreement with the demonic forces that led to the rape and molestation of many young boys; that spirit says it is ok to do those things, cover it up, and riot against it if anyone tries to bring it to light. That spirit says that justice for these young boys isn't as important as the reputation of Penn State football and its coaches. The spirit of lawlessness is being manifested across this country in many ways that would have been unthinkable a generation or two ago. When things start to really break down here due to economic collapse and famine, you will see lawlessness go wild. Pray Psalm 91 over yourself and family and home, it will be a time of unprecedented chaos and you will need the protection of your heavenly Father. Psalm 91:1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. v2 I will says to the Lord," My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!" the Return of Christ

Dear beloved: Quote from the book "Visions Beyond the Veil", by H.A. Baker, the Return of Christ. "In the midst of all this chaos, everything was interrupted by the sudden return of Christ. The sun became dark and the moon red like blood. The stars fell in showers. The heavens shook and seemed to roll together as a scroll. There was a great earthquake that rent the earth asunder. Great crevices opened and people were swallowed alive. Buildings were shaken down, collapsing like children's toy houses, killing and burying the tenants. While these things were taking place, the Lord appeared in the heavens. Old and young, rich and poor were overcome with deadly fear. They fled in every direction in wild confusion. Men fled from their shops empty handed, without a thought of their valuables that a few moments earlier had seemed of great importance. Families rushed from their homes without even a glance back upon the luxuries that had been their passion. In one moment, all men became one in purpose; they had only one desire; they sought only one thing-to flee from the face of the returning Judge; they sought only a place of refuge to hide from the visible King of Kings. Some who were not killed by falling houses or who did not tumble into the opened earth tried to flee to the mountains for safety; some leaped into rivers and perished; some turned their weapons upon themselves.

Everywhere was wailing and shrieking. Everywhere was riot and terror. Anything to escape from the wrath of the Lamb, for the great day of His wrath had come. After this there were visions of the great supper of God, where the beasts and birds were bidden to eat the unburied dead that lay scattered over the ruined earth. Dogs and wild animals were seen feeding on the carcasses of men. Birds and scavengers of the air joined in this supper prepared by God."

These were some of the visions given to the children of Adullam orphanage in China back in the 1920's, as they were taken up into heaven in the spirit to be shown by God the future days of the coming of our Lord and Savior. They were also shown visions of heaven and hell, and allowed to taste of the heavenly fruit of the trees of life, and also see the devastation that is coming when the Lamb comes back as a Lion to judge the earth. Revelation 6:12 And I looked when He broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became like blood; v13 and the stars of the sky fell to the earth, as a fig tree casts its unripe figs when shaken by a great wind. v14 And the sky was split apart like a scroll when it is rolled up; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. v15 And the kings of the earth and the great men and the commanders and the rich and the strong and every slave and free man, hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains; v16 and they said to the mountains and to the rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the presence of Him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb; v17 for the great day of their wrath has come; and who is able to stand?" Be Watchful

Dear beloved: As we look to events of the day, it is important to keep in mind the Main Event that we are to be looking for: the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. We have just passed through the fall feasts of Trumpets, Atonement, and Tabernacles, which all remind us prophetically of the coming return of our Savior. The question for us is this: Are we watching the events of the day and letting them overshadow our preparations to go in an instant when the Lord returns? The apostle Paul says in 1 Corinthians 15:51, Behold, I show you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed. v52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trump shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible and we shall be changed.

Some who are here on earth will not taste physical death, as Paul says, we shall not all sleep. He explains this in further detail in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18. v16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first: v17 then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so we shall ever be with the Lord. V18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words. So Paul says also to be ready, that when He comes it will happen in the twinkling of an eye, a heartbeat, an atomic particle as it moves and joins Jesus in the air. It is comforting as we think about these words, that no matter what happens here in the earth, for those of us who are born again believers we will always be with the Lord, whether here on earth or in heaven with the saints in glory.

In the parable of the ten virgins in Matthew 25:1-13, we see that five are wise and ready for the Lord's return, and five are foolish and were out shopping for oil when the Master came back. This is a picture of what you see in the world today; about half of those who claim to know the Lord are actually ready and watching for His return, the other half are saying to themselves, we still have plenty of time, let's play, shop, party, and have some fun. After all, those serious Christians have been saying for a long time that Jesus is coming back, and look, nothing has happened yet. v5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. v6 And at midnight there was a cry made, behold, the bridegroom cometh, go out to meet him. Well we know that the five foolish had no oil so they missed the coming of the Lord.

Watch and pray, beloved, for the coming of the Lord will be as a thief in the night! Get oil for your lamp now and be ready, it is the midnight hour. God bless you, in Christ, Jim

Feast of Tabernacles

Dear beloved: We are now midway through the Feast of Tabernacles, or Feast of Booths as it is called in Leviticus 23:42 Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths: v43 That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God. The Lord instituted the Feast of Booths to remind the Israelites that He provided for them supernaturally as they wandered in the wilderness for forty years. He provided manna for them to eat, a food that they had never seen before (Deut. 8:3), and their clothing and shoes did not wear out over those years (Deut. 8:4), and He gave them water to drink from the rock (Exodus 17:6), that they and their livestock would not perish from thirst.

As we think about how God provided for the children of Israel, this is also the time for us to reflect on how God provides for us just as He did for His chosen people. Often we grumble and complain about our status or our provision, or the things that we want but don't have; how easy it is to fall into the attitude of ingratitude. And yet God continues to give us grace and provide for our every need, above and beyond all that we could ever think or imagine.

Prophetically we also see that the Feast of Tabernacles is the fulfillment of all of God's kingdom promises, and that the final outcome of all the prophecies of His word will be literally fulfilled in the second coming of Jesus Christ, when He comes to tabernacle with us here on the earth. John 1:14 tells us that Jesus came to tabernacle, or dwell among us. v14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,(and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father), full of grace and truth. His first coming He came to dwell for only a few short years, and He came as the sacrificial lamb, the sinless one who shed His blood that through His blood we could all be cleansed and come to know the righteous
ness of God. The second time He comes will be as the Righteous Judge who will judge the wicked and the dead and put an end to rebellion once and for all. He will at that time set up His millennial kingdom reign and prepare the earth for the coming of the eternal, perfect state, the new heaven and new earth, Revelation 21:2. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. v3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

Blow the Trumpet

Dear beloved: We are in the time of the Days of Awe, the Feast of Trumpets, which began on the eve of September 28th, and concludes on Friday eve, October 7th, the Day of Atonement. The Feast of Trumpets is given by the Lord in Leviticus 23:23-25: v24 Speak unto the children of Israel saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a Sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation. v25 Ye shall do no servile work therein, but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord. The blowing of the trumpets had several purposes with the children of Israel: the declaring of a Sabbath or a solemn assembly, a warning of danger and action to be taken, such as calling troops to war, or the announcement of arrival of a king.

For us the trumpet also symbolically does all these things for us, but more than anything else it heralds the arrival and coming of our King Jesus Christ. I Thess. 4:16-18, For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first. v17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall ever be with the Lord. v18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words. The blowing of the trumpets reminds us that Jesus is coming back and that we should at all times be ready for His coming; we should conduct our lives accordingly, as if He were just over the horizon. Are there things that you would do differently, or people that you would treat differently, if you truly believed that Jesus were coming back this very day?

Yesterday we gathered a group of people to pray over my land and to blow the shofar over the land, to release the Lord's blessing on the land. As the shofar blew out across the land, I could see in the spirit realm the blessings of the Lord piercing through the darkness and sending the enemy running. Just as Gideon went to battle against the Midianites with just three hundred men armed with trumpets, empty pitchers, and torches, he was able to scatter the enemy and rout them; they fell upon each other with swords. Judges 7:20 And the three companies blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers, and held the lamps in their left hands, and the trumpets in their right hands to blow withal: and they cried, The sword of the Lord and of Gideon. v21 And they stood every man in his place round about the camp; and all the host ran, and cried, and fled. v22 And the three hundred blew the trumpets, and the Lord set every man's sword against his fellow, even throughout all the host, and the host fled to Bethshittah in Zenerath, and to the border of Abelmeholah, unto Tabbath.

Pray for Israel

Dear beloved: The recent move by the Palestinians to circumvent the negotiation of a Palestinian state by going to the United Nations to have that body grant them the status of full member state has grave consequences, if approved, for Israel and for the United States. God has made an everlasting covenant with His children and the land He gave them is to be theirs for all eternity. In Genesis 12:1-3 God told Abrham, "Go forth from your country, And from your relatives And from your father's house, To the land which I will show you; v2 And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And so you shall be a blessing; v3 And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse, And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed." Then in verse 7 And the Lord appeared to Abram and said, "To your descendants I will give this land" So he built an altar to the Lord who had appeared to him. This is a test for all the nations of the world, to show that they either stand with or turn away from Israel. Tomorrow night, Wednesday, September 28 is the eve of Rosh Hashanah, the Feast of Trumpets, day one of the Hebrew new year. The blowing of the trumpets reminds us of the rapture of the church and also of the return of our Lord and Savior.

We know from many scriptures in God's word that eventually all the nations of the world will come against Israel. Zechariah 14:1 Behold, a day is coming when the spoil taken from you will be divided among you. v2 For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city will be captured, the houses plundered, the women ravished, and half of the city exiled, but the rest of the people will not be cut off from the city. v3 Then the Lord will go forth and fight against those nations, as when He fights on a day of battle. This scripture is a reference to the mobilization of the nations to Armageddon(Ezekiel 38-39, Joel 3, Rev.16:13-16, Rev.19:11-21). Many nations of the world have already declared with certainty they will line up against Israel, not only in forums such as the United Nations, but also on the battlefield, as all Israel's neighbor enemies have stocked and overstocked their weapons arsenals, ready to move in at the slightest provocation. The question is for us here in the United States: Will we be among the nations that receives a blessing from God for standing with Israel, or will we be cursed as we go the way of those coming against Israel? It is our choice to make.

Beloved, pray at this time for our President Barak Obama and his advisers, for our Congress, for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and all the people of Israel and Jews scattered all over the world. Pray that the United States would line up and support Israel in rejecting this attempt to install legitamate government to an avowed terrorist state, a state whose purpose is not really to have a homeland but to destroy Jews and Cristians wherever they live on the earth. For the sake of our children and grandchildren and for the sake of God's great name and His glory, let us pray that our leaders make the choice that leads to blessings. Come Unto Me

Dear beloved: Jesus said in Matthew 11:28 "Come unto Me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. v29 Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you shall find rest for your weary souls. v30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." Many of us this day are weary and heavy laden, it is a natural result of the earthly battle we are in. We fight day in and day out the good fight of faith, but it has a wearying and debilitating effect on us over time;in fact there are times when we just want to give up and say we are too weary to keep battling. It is at that time that Jesus says to come unto Him, that He will give us the rest we so desperately need. What does it mean to enter His rest?

It means to give all your cares and burdens to Him, just list them, everything that you are contending and battling for, write them down if you need to, and say to Jesus: "You are the King, you are the Captain of the Lord of Hosts, without You I can do nothing, and with You all things are possible." When you do that you are submitting your desire to control all the circumstances in your life, and you are saying to the Lord, "You are not only able to take care of me, but I willfully submit every problem, circumstance, and situation in my life to You, and I trust you that You are faithful and true to Your word to take care of it for Me in the way that best benefits me and brings glory to Your kingdom!"

In the practical sense for me this means putting on some worship music and spending time on my knees before the Lord, just thanking Him and acknowledging His sovereignty over My life, and admitting to Him that in some things I am powerless to control the events and circumstances of my life. Prayer moves mountains, it changes the atmosphere that you operate in, and as it brings you in close communion with the Master, you take on His countenance and His nature. Beloved, take on the yoke of Jesus today, spend some time on your knees, thanking Him for all the trials in your life. James says in James 1:2, Count it all joy when you face diverse trials, v3 Knowing this, the trying of your faith brings patience, v4 and let patience have its perfect result, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. Separation of Sheep from Goats

Dear beloved: Everywhere we look these days we see the evidence of God's hand of judgment falling not only on this nation, but on all nations all over the world. There is a great separation going on; those who are gathering for the kingdom are being separated from those who are scattering. This is the earthly rehearsal for the eternal separation yet to come, when the sheep and the goats will be separated according to their works and treatment of Israel and their fellow man.

Jesus laid this plan out in great detail in Matthew chapter 25:31-46. The separation comes after all the nations of the world have been gathered in front of the Son of Man, and all the holy angels with him. V33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on his left. v34 Then shall the King say to them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. Then Jesus goes on to list 6 groups of people that the sheep had ministered to: He said," I was hungry and you gave me meat, thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you took me in, naked and you clothed me, I was sick, and in prison and you visited me. Then the righteous asked the Lord, when did we minister to you in these places and in these ways? v40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, verily I say unto you, inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me."

Then Jesus goes on to separate out the goats and judge them on the same grounds that He judged the sheep, but He said to the goats (v41) "Depart from Me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels": And the King condemns them because they did not minister to Him in those same six groups of people. He wraps up His charge against them by saying in v45 "Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these of mine, you did it not to Me. v46 And these shall go into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal."

Although this judgment is concerned primarily with the persecution and treatment of Israel, it is a primary motivator for anyone who is looking for kingdom work. What does Jesus value when He makes His judgment? Look for the poor, the broken, those sick, in prison, that's where you will find Jesus. You will see Him when you look at and minister to these people. This scripture is what prompted me to answer the call to prison ministry, and has now opened up the doors to international crusades, orphan care in Africa, and many other open ministry doors. African Countries at the Tipping Point

Dear Beloved: In Matthew 24:7 Jesus tells us that in the last days, "nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines and pestilences, and earthquakes, in diverse places. v8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. v9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and you shall be hated of all nations for My names's sake. v10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. v11 And many false prophets shall rise, and deceive many. v12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall grow cold. v13 But he that endures to the end, he shall be saved." Beloved, we are seeing first hand the words of Jesus are being literally fulfilled in countries all over the world.

On my recent trip to Kenya, I saw how people are being delivered up to be persecuted by the growing population of Muslims in that country. The church where I preached in Nairobi is in a mixed ethnic and religious neighborhood, and as a result there is tension there between faiths regarding land issues. At one point a few years ago the night watchman at the church was hacked to death one night as he guarded the church property; consequently, many in the church left that church for churches in safer neighborhoods. The loss in membership meant loss in collections, and the church was unable to keep up payments on a piece of property that it had committed to and had been paying rent on. The muslims in the neighborhood bid a higher payment and was able then to get the property away from the church; mission accomplished. When sin and iniquity abound, the love of many will grow cold. How else could people murder and bomb and destroy, all in the name of a religion of so called peace?

We need to pray for our brethren in countries that face these pressures on a daily basis. We also need to pray for Israel, as God's people are surrounded by these hate filled people who have declared that the only way they will tolerate Israel and the Jews, is if they do not exist at all. The same is coming to America; Islamic radicals will use the freedoms we offer them in this country, (that they offer no one in their own Shariah-bound countries), and they will use those very freedoms to take over our cities and our country, one neighborhood at a time. Revelation 6:8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. The pale horse is on the move all over the world, in Africa, in Europe, and now in America. Pray that you may endure to the end! God bless you, in Christ, Jim

Prayers for Stephen

Dear beloved: One of the joys of preaching in Kenya was in meeting new people and listening to their stories; indeed, that is one of the great joys of being a missionary in a far off land. In Mumias, Kenya, I had the privilege of praying for a young man named Stephen, who was living with the Pastor Lucas and his wife Jane.

Stephen, who is 12 years old, has a story similar to many in Africa. His father is infected with the HIV virus, unable to take care of him; and Stephen's mother has already passed away from infection with the virus. The father took a couple of stepmothers to help him with the family, and they too became infected and passed away. And so Stephen is now living with the Pastor, his uncle. On the first night that I preached in the Mumias crusade, Stephen was one of the first to step forward for healing and salvation. I layed hands on him, and the mighty healing hand of Jesus touched him. The second day of the crusade he came forward again, and again the mighty healing hand of Jesus touched him. And again on the third day he came forward for healing prayers and the Lord touched him again. By the end of the week he was looking much better, displaying a healthy shine that would be normal for a young man his age. For you see, Stephen also is infected with the HIV virus. On Saturday of the final day of the Mumias crusade we had a baptism service in a river about a mile from the pastor's church, and Stephen was one of the first baptised, a testimony to the mighty work the Lord did in his life that week.

Matthew 18:2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them. v3 And said, "verily I say unto you, Except you be converted and become as little children, you shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. v4 Whosoever shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. v5 And whoever shall receive one such little child in my name receives me. v6 But whoever shall offend one of these little ones which believe in Me, it would be better for him that a millstone were hung around his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea." I believe God is going to heal Stephen of AIDS, if He hasn't already, and that Stephen will be used mightily for the Kingdom to bring others to know Jesus as their Lord. Pastor Lucas has about thirty children that his church has taken in that are infected with AIDS, and they would like to build an orphanage as a permanent place to house, care for, and school these children. Fortunes Of Job Restored

Dear beloved: Another of the pastors who spoke at the morning conference sessions in Mumias, Kenya was a tremendous preacher and teacher of the Word, and in addition,he is a modern day old testament Job. Over the coarse of his life he had buried seven of his ten children. One by one they were taken from him through various events and circumstances that left him and his wife with only three children.

The weight of all that pain, coupled with his preaching regimen, finally caused him to collapse in exhaustion; a deep exhaustion that was unto death. He laid down and was ready to die. The angels of the Lord escorted his spirit up to heaven as he watched his physical body lying there unresponsive on the floor. As he was escorted up through the heavenlies, he was torn between feeling a need and desire for his physical body and the feeling of freedom and joy that he felt from his new spirit body. However, when he came to the gates of heaven, he was not allowed entry, the angels informed him it wasn't his time to stay just yet. And so they escorted him back to earth and into his earthly body; as he approached it his spirit laid down beside and rolled into his physical body. Amazingly, he was refreshed and renewed and he felt no after effects of the fatigue and exhaustion. He has since gone on to preach and pastor with great passion, and is instrumental in establishing a bible college near the border of Uganda with Kenya.

How does one stand up when the circumstances and tragedies of life tend to overwhelm? Not easy, I'm sure, few are tested and tried the way this pastor has been, let alone Job himself. Psalm 68:19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, the God who is our salvation. And in Job 13:15 Job says, "Though He slay me, I will hope (trust) in Him. Nevertheless I will argue my ways before Him." Eventually we read in Job that the Lord restored to him a double portion of all that he had. Job 42:10 And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job when he prayed for his friends, and the Lord increased all that Job had twofold, all his livestock and possessions. And he was given 10 more children, seven sons and three daughters. Why not 20 children, you say, that would be double? He was given 20; the ten in heaven that died he would soon be with, and ten more on the earth that were eventually also his to enjoy in heaven. v12 And the Lord blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning. v16 And after this Job lived 140 years, and saw his sons, and his grandsons, four generations. v17 And Job died, and old man and full of days. The Narrow Gate

Dear beloved: One of the pastors who preached at the conference in Mumias, Kenya, relayed this testimony to me about a lady from Spain who had been in a car accident and was in a coma, hovering near death for 48hrs. As she was near death's door, she was taken up in the spirit by the Lord for a visitation to heaven. (See Paul's account of his visitation to heaven in 2 Corinthians 12:1-9) While there in heaven, she met Jesus and He told her it was not her time to stay in heaven, that He was going to send her back to her life on earth with a message. She was to share the message with everyone she came in contact with, and the message is this: Jesus said "only 2 out of 100 people who are dying on earth right now are saved believers coming into heaven."

Matthew 7:13 "Enter by the narrow gate,for the gate is wide, and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter by it. v14 For the gate is small, and the way is narrow that leads to life, few are those who find it." It is truly remarkable to think about all the ways the gospel is being preached all over the world this day and age: through radio, television, internet, Bible tracts, Bible distribution, preaching on street corners and in magnificent churches, and yet with all of that, only two percent of the people are being saved. The narrow gate is certainly narrow!

Where do you stand with the Lord Jesus today? If this were to be your last day on earth today, would you be one of the two who would stand at the gate and hear the Lord say, "Well done my good and faithful servant, come in to heaven to enjoy the place I have prepared for you." Or would you be one of the ninety eight who would hear the Lord say, "Depart from me you worker of iniquity, for I never knew you." And you would be banished to eternal torment, separated from God for all eternity because of your pride and hardness of heart. Spend some time today on your knees before the Lord, make sure that you are right with Him, that you have confessed Him before men as your Lord and Savior. You will then have no fear of death, and when you stand before the Lord you can hear those precious words, "Come in!" God bless you, in Christ, Jim

Final Kenya Report

Dear beloved: This will be my final post from Kenya, I will be getting on the plane tonight at 10pm headed for Amsterdam, then Detroit, and on to Omaha. Thank you for your prayers for safe travel and good health these past weeks. The final tally for salvation decisions was over 900 who gave their lives to the Lord. To God be the glory! There was also many miraculous healings, in Mumias in particular one of the pastors told me on Friday that the Lord had spoken to him today would be a day for many miracles. I'm sure those reports will come in later.

Two scriptures have been on my heart today, the first from the book of Amos. Amos 8:11, "Behold days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will send a famine in the land, not a famine for bread or a thirst for water, but rather for hearing the words of the Lord." Many hearts are hard to the gospel, we preach and we preach, but many turn away because the the enemy has hardened their hearts to the point that they cannot hear or understand what the Lord is saying to them. The way to destruction is broad, the way to salvation is narrow, few are being saved in the present day. The second scripture speaks of the harvest that is being prepared and the need to continue spreading the word no matter what, for the time is short. Joel 3:13 "put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe; come tread for the wine press is full; the vats overflow, for their wickedness is great. v14 Multitudes, multitudes, in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision!"

Mumias Kenya Update

Dear beloved: Last night I flew back to Nairobi from Mumias and today I am just resting after preaching in a church this morning. We wrapped a powerful crusade in Mumias with over 200 coming to give their life to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Yesterday we had a baptism service for some who wanted to get baptized right away, and about 40 were baptized in a local river. Praise be to God!

In addition, pastors from Kibera report that the final tally in the Kibera crusade was 710 salvation decisions, the harvest was great in both locations. I will be getting on the plane for America on Monday night so please pray for my travel home. If God wills I will come back again to Kenya to continue to bring the good news to these precious people. Kibera Update #3

Dear beloved: Last night was the finale of the Kibera crusade. It was extremely powerful, many came to the Lord, over 200,and hundreds came forward for healing and general prayers. The Holy Spirit was moving so powerfully, at times I didn't know if I could stand up! Bwama a safiwe, praise the Lord! The pastors all said it was the best attented crusade they have had in that area in many years. Kibera is a very rough place, the people there are very hardened to the gospel.
The message was from Revelation 22:1, the river of living water that flows down from the throne of God. God wants us to drink of the living water; years ago the Lord took me up in the spirit to drink of the living water. It came at the end of a three day fast of no food or water, the Lord sat me down beside the stream of living water and I took a pitcher and dipped into the steam over and over and filled myself with the water. It was a powerful dream, the Lord was just showing me to drink of Him, that if I drank of Him I would never thirst again! How very true that has been in my life and will be in yours also. Last night as I was leaving Kibera for the last time, I began to cry for the pain and living conditions of those people, it is a very poor and dirty place, but I was also crying for those who are lost there who did not come to the crusade and give their heart to the Lord. I was also grieved that it was the last night; to preach the word of God to lost and hurting people is a high calling and it is true fulfillment. I thank you so much for your prayers.
I will be traveling to Mumias in western Kenya tomorrow and start another five night crusade there on Tuesday night. We will also be teaching pastors during the day so it will be a rigorous schedule. God bless you and thank you again for your prayers. In Christ, Jim

Kibera Kenya Update #2

Dear beloved: Last night at the crusade the Holy Spirit was moving with great power. Many came forward for salvation decisions, between two and three hundred, and many more came forward for healing prayers. The people did not want to leave, as I left the grounds at 8 o'clock, the praise band was still playing and played on into the night. It was a mighty wind blowing through Kibera. The pastors are saying it is a powerful crusade, as many preachers come into Kibera and the people do not stay to listen to the word, they just turn and walk away. The pastors say from the first night that I have been given favor by God to preach the word with power in this place. To God be the glory! Bwama a safiwe, praise be to God!

The message last night was from John 11, how Jesus called forth Lazarus from the grave, and how we too have been called forth from death into life by Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. We have all been resurrected from death by the blood of Jesus. Sin gives us the stench of death but by His precious blood we have been given the aroma of our Savior. Jesus says, " if you know me you will never die," for He is the resurrection and the life. Do you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior this day? If you don't, confess your sins and ask Him into your heart and He will answer your plea.

I pray that many would partner with this ministry in taking the gospel to the nations. God is opening up many doors for me at this time. Pray about your part in sending forth the workers into the harvest. God bless you, in Christ, Jim

Kibera Crusade Update

Dear beloved: The first two nights of the Kibera Crusade have been very good. The people are staying and are responding. Last night about 100-200 came forward for salvation decisions and for prayers for healing. We are expecting the crowds to get much bigger as the weekend comes. We will go through Sunday night. Kibera is a very rough place. Half a million people living in small shacks, many live on less than one dollar a day. Lots of orphans, drugs, alcohol, prostitution, hiv/aids, and orphans. We are going at it for 4-5 hours each night with the praise bands and preaching.
Pray that many would come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior and that many would receive miraculous healings. Pray also for strength and good health for me. Also many in northern Kenya are experiencing famine and drought, so pray that would be broken over this land. Thank you so much for your prayers, keep lifting us up for the next two weeks, as next week I go out to west Kenya city of Mumias and do another five night crusade. God bless you, Jim

Kenya Mission Update #2

Dear beloved: The pace for preparation of the Kenya Mission is starting to quicken. Two weeks ago on Saturday 200 pastors and ministers from the Kibera Pastor's Association met together to pray for the event, under the direction of Rev. Boniface Musoti of Nairobi. In addition, last weekend, all the pastors involved and myself fasted and prayed together for two days as we unite our hearts and minds for this great event. Four thousand posters and six thousand handbills were handed out to the pastors to distribute all over Kibera and Nairobi, to their congregations as well as people on the streets of Kibera. There is also an event page up on facebook, you can see it at www.facebook.com/Kibera Catch the Fire Gospel Crusade. So excitement is starting to build as we approach this great time of harvest for the Lord. The crusade planned for Mumias in western Kenya is also proceeding in planning, with a pastor's association there praying and fasting for the success of that crusade. They are under the direction of Pastor Lucas Obanda of Mumias.

If you are reading this blog, God has brought you here for a reason. Please stand in agreement with me for the following prayer points: 1) That the harvest would be great, that many would come to know the Lord and make Him their personal savior 2)That many would be healed, that God would reveal His power though many signs, wonders, and miracles 3) For personal health and safety for myself and all the pastors involved, especially Boniface Musoti and Lucas Obanda 4) for safe travel going to and from Kenya and while traveling in Kenya, from Nairobi out to Mumias and back 5) For all of our financial needs to be met and we would not lack for anything that is essential to the success of this mission.

Kenya Mission Update

Dear beloved: The dates for the Kenya crusades have been set and the wheels are in motion for planning of two mighty miracle crusades in that country. The first will be in Kibera, Nairobi, July 26-30, five nights in the open air in the largest slum in Africa. The second will be in Mumias in west Kenya, August 2-6, again 5 nights outdoors. Please pray for these points regarding the crusades: 1. for many to come to know the Lord Jesus as personal lord and savior 2. for miraculous healings of the masses 3. for safe travel, good health and safety for myself, the team with me, and the pastors who I will be working with 4. for all plans to go smoothly and that the devil would not succeed in coming against any of the planning to delay or disrupt 5. for all the necessary provision, that we would not be lacking in anything necessary for the success of these crusades.

It has been prophesied over me that 800 people would come to know the Lord the first time that I speak over there, and the Lord would give more if I ask Him for them. Of coarse I have asked Him for a double portion. In addition, at least 681 people would receive miraculous healings the second night of the crusade according to a prophetic dream given to an inmate disciple. Please pray that these prophesies will be fulfilled literally, with a double portion.

There is still need for provision for funding these crusades. Don't Quit Praying Yet

Dear beloved: I have had a couple of people ask me over the coarse of the last year, do you think we should quit praying for America?, as God told Jeremiah to quit praying for the people of Judah. Jeremiah 14:10 Thus says the Lord to this people, "Even so they have loved to wander; they have not kept their feet in check. Therefore the Lord does not accept them; now He will remember their iniquity and call their sins to account." v11 So the Lord said to me, "Do not pray for the welfare of this people. v12 When they fast, I am not going to listen to their cry, and when they offer burnt offering and grain offering, I am not going to accept them. Rather, I am going to make an end of them by the sword, famine and pestilence."

As we look at the daily headlines, and the things happening in our country and being promoted by certain people in our government and court systems, we are often tempted to say, What's the use?, and just give up. And we rationalize that we know the prophetic destiny of America is to turn her back on Israel and line up with all the ungodly nations of the world, so again why not just give up and let the slide go even faster. Beloved, we are called to stand against evil and the schemes of the devil no matter where he rears his ugly head or how far down the road to apostasy this nation goes. So keep praying, for God's sake, for your sake, and for the sake of your children and your children's children. Contend for your nation, your family, your church. Yes, prophecies declared over this nation will eventually come to pass, but can we persevere and intercede so that we can say in our generation, we held fast in the face of calamity and evil.

Can you imagine our loving and compassionate God of the universe, saying at some point about America, I won't receive any more prayers for their welfare or offerings on their behalf. I do not want to hear the Lord say those words while on my watch. I would much rather the outcome be as it was in Nineveh, when Jonah went to that city and preached the message of repentance to them, to turn from their wicked ways. Jonah 3:5 Then the people of Nineveh believed in God; and they called a fast and put on sackcloth from the greatest to the least of them. v10 When God saw their deeds, that they turned from their wicked way, then God relented concerning the calamity which He had declared He would bring upon them. I Have Appointed You

Dear beloved: I have been reading a lot of Jeremiah lately, the weeping prophet, as this is a season when the Lord is stirring the prophets to cry out to the people of the events that are coming. Anyone with any prophetic gift at all is aware of the burden of being a watchman on the wall at this time, as the enemy surrounds us both within and without our nation and our families. To be a watchman is a high calling, it is not something that anyone would necessarily sign up for or volunteer readily for, it is a gift and mantle that God places on a person when He sees they have a willing and obedient heart.

Just as many of us are reluctant to prophesy or accept our calling, so too was Jeremiah reluctant. We all look for someone else to pick up the mantle when God is speaking to us. God made him aware of his calling in Jeremiah 1:4 Now the word of the Lord came to me saying, v5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, And before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations." Then Jeremiah gives his response to the Lord, just as Moses, Isaiah, and many others, including you and me, give back to God all the reasons why we can't fulfill the calling of the Lord. v6 Then I said "Alas, Lord God! Behold, I do not know how to speak, Because I am a youth." v7 But the Lord said to me, "Do not say, I am a youth, Because everywhere I send you, you shall go, and all that I command you, you shall speak. v8 Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you," declares the Lord.

Then the Lord stretched out His hand (v.9) and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me, "Behold, I have put My words in your mouth." And again in verse 12, Then the Lord said to me, "You have seen well, for I am watching over My word to perform it." Beloved, it is time for all of us who hear from the Lord to blow the trumpet, to sound the alarm. Warn the people, warn your family, now is the time to turn to the Lord with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind. A New Chapter

Dear beloved: A new chapter in American history was opened on May 19,2011, by the president of this country when he asked the nation of Israel to give up land to the Palestinians and go back to the borders that existed prior to 1967. This is an unprecedented demand on the people of Israel and will not go unnoticed in the kingdom of heaven. That land was given to the children of Israel thousands of years ago, and was taken by them in more recent times when the Arab nations came against them in 1967. Genesis 12:6 And Abraham passed through the land unto the place of Shechem, unto the plain of Moreh. And the Canaanite was then in the land. v7 And the Lord appeared to Abraham and said, "To your descendants I will give this land." So he built an altar there to the Lord who had appeared to him. In Genesis 12:1 God speaks to Abraham, Now the Lord said to Abram, "Go forth from your country, and from your relatives and from your father's house, To the land which I will show you; v2 And I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you, And make your name great, And so you shall be a blessing; v3 And I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.."

Beloved, God is separating the people of the world quickly as He prepares this world to receive His Son Jesus Christ. The separation is being brought about by events and circumstances that will inevitably cause people to make a choice between the kingdom of light and the kingdom of darkness. Our president and his advisors have devised a vain thing: a plan to take land away from Israel that was given to them in a sovereign act by the one who created them and the land, Jehovah God, the Creater of all things. Psalm 2:1 Why are the nations in an uproar, and the peoples devising a vain thing? v2 The kings of the earth take their stand, and the rulers take counsel together against the Lord and His Anointed: "Let us tear their fetters apaart, and cast away their cords from us!" v4 He who sits in the heavens laughs, The Lord scoffs at them. v5 Then He will speak to them in His anger and terrify them in His fury: v6 But as for Me, I have installed My King upon Zion, My Holy Mountain."

v10 Now therefore, O kings, show discernment, Take warning, O judges of the earth. V11 Worship the Lord with reverence, and rejoice with trembling. v12 Do homage to the Son, lest He become angry, and you perish in the way, For His wrath may soon be kindled. How blessed are those who take refuge in Him! Beloved, now is the time to take refuge in Him, to pray as never before, pray for the president of this country that his heart would be turned toward the Lord, for our congress that they would be resolute in defense of Israel, for the people of Israel that they would be strong and courageous, and for the descendants of Ishmael, that they too would come to know the Lord and repent of their hatred towards God's children. Kenya Mission

Dear beloved: Some of you who are reading this blog are wondering how you can effectively help to move the kingdom of God forward in a significant and meaningful way. You are in a position where you know and love the Lord God and yet you feel you are not doing enough to impact this world for the sake of the gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ. Beloved, we all know that the time is short, there is little time left to share the gospel with this lost and dying world. If you are in that category of wondering what you can do to help, know that God has led you to this blog and to this mission to take the gospel to the nations of the world.

The Lord has opened doors for me to preach crusades in two places in Kenya, the first in Kibera, the largest slum in Africa, and the second in western Kenya in the city of Mumias. Each of the crusades are being sponsored by pastor associations in those respective cities, and each will be 4 nights in the open air with African praise bands, dancers, and singers. It will be an exciting time in the Lord to see many come to the saving knowledge of Him. It has been prophesied over me that 800 people would come to know the Lord the first time that I speak over there, and the Lord would bring more if we just ask of Him; and a second prophesy spoken said that 681 people would receive miraculous healings on the second night of the crusade. So you can see the Lord has some mighty plans in store for these events.

You can help bring these events to pass primarily in two ways. 1) Intercede for these events to come to pass, that the Lord would strengthen me and the team that goes over, and pray also for provision, safety, good health, and protection from physical and demonic attack. 2) Some of you reading this blog are able to provide the provision necessary to make this mission possible. The budget for the two crusades is $20,000, which will include the necessary money for stage setup, sound rental, security, promotional advertising, and funds for pastor meals and training during the day of each crusade. Watch and Pray

Dear Beloved: God is calling us at this time to watch and pray as never before in our nation's history. The very survival of our nation and the future of our children and grandchildren is at stake as we look around and see what is going on in America. The devil knows also that many have turned away from the Lord, and so there is a spiritual slumber and heaviness that one has to break through in order to enter into fervent prayer. It is similar to overcoming inertia, you have to get the demonic ball stopped before you can turn it around and send it the other way. The main sources of the heaviness or demonic inertia are these three: 1. the death cloud of abortion that hangs over the land, 2. the curses that are coming upon us for our treatment of and backing away from Israel, and 3. the spirit of abomination that comes from the push for homosexual "marriage" and all the apostasy in the church that goes along with it.

Jesus took Peter and the sons of Zebedee into the garden in Matthew 26:36, and He told the disciples to wait for Him as He went on ahead to pray. He said, "sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder." Then in v40, He came back to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to them, "What, could ye not watch with Me for one hour? v41 Watch and pray, that ye might not enter into temptation; the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." Twice more Jesus went on ahead to pray by Himself and returned to find the disciples sleeping at that most critical hour. Jesus is asking the same of us today, could you not watch and pray with Me for one hour?

Beloved, all over this land Jesus is being betrayed once again into the hands of those who would mock and despise Him, and try to destroy Him in many ways. He is calling each of us to watch and pray, to stay awake and enter into the battle against all the forces of darkness that are taking over our land. Jesus said in Matthew 11:12, " and from the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force." We need to prepare to enter into "violent" warfare for the sake of the kingdom; prayer is the hand-to-hand combat of kingdom warriors. Followup to Dream of War

Dear beloved: Two days prior to the night the Lord gave me the dream of war coming, I had another significant dream that was baffling to me until the dream of war was given. In the first dream, I am standing at the top of a stadium looking out over the audience at the beginning of a sporting event. I begin to sing as if going to sing the national anthem, but instead of the national anthem I sing the Lord's prayer. I sing the whole Lord's prayer with great zeal, and at the end of the prayer I wake up and reflect back on the dream, thinking that is a really strange dream, as I had never sung the Lord's prayer ever in my life.

I believe the Lord is saying to me to cover my friends and family each and every day with prayer, and He would have you do the same for you and your friends and family. Each of us has a sphere or domain over which God has given us influence and authority. It is in that domain that we must pray God's will for the people that we have influence and authority over, that they too would be covered by the blood of Jesus and abide under the shelter of His wings. Matthew 6:9 This, then, is how you should pray: Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed by Thy name, Thy kindom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we forgive also our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever, Amen. The battle that is coming that was revealed in the dream of war, whether an actual physical battle or a battle of spiritual warfare, will be an intense battle leading up to the battle for all eternity, the battle of Armageddon. Only those connected to Jesus Christ will come out victorious, those disconnected from him will be taken out and will eventually perish, not only on this earthly battlefield, but also for all eternity.

John 15:1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit He taketh away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit. v5 I am the vine, you are the branches. If a man remains (abides) in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing. v6 If anyone does not remain in Me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up and thrown into the fire and burned. v7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you shall ask whatever you wish and it shall be given to you. v8 Herein is My Father glorified, that you bear much fruit; so shall you be My disciples. Beloved, our only hope for today and forever is to abide in Jesus, that we hide in Him, and that we bear much fruit to bring glory to Him. Dream of War

Dear beloved: I had a dream last night that I believe speaks of coming war and conflict on American soil. In the dream I go into a stadium with another person. As we walk into the stadium, I notice a few things right away that stand out in my mind: the grass in the stadium is very dry, it looks like late summer brown color and they haven't had any rain; the stands are almost full, probably 50,000 people or more, and they are all wearing green, the only color seen in any of the seats is green; the teams that are lined up on the field do not have pads or footballs, instead they have guns, mostly rifles, some with bayonets. I am also thinking in my mind that this is a rivalry game between two neighboring towns out here in Kansas. As the whistle blows to start the game, the players pull up their rifles and begin to shoot at each other, and some move forward in a zig-zag fashion to keep from getting hit, others run forward and fall on the ground to take up a shooting position from the ground. As the conflict progresses some go by in front of me with prisoners marching in front of the bayonets, they have obviously been captured. Others are lying on the ground nursing all kinds of wounds, broken bones, bloody flesh, wounds of every kind. The last scene as I am walking out of the stadium, I see body parts sticking up out of the ground, a hand sticking out as if severed, and legs and feet mangled and sticking out.

Interpretation of the dream: I believe this dream speaks of coming war here in America, not only of internal conflict as in possibly a civil war of some kind (the teams lined up against each other with rifles), but also possibly terrorist attacks in the form of very destructive bombs (severed body parts sticking up out of and lying on the ground). I believe the Lord also is giving a sense of timing with the very dry, brown looking grass (late summer to fall), as well as the fact it is a rivalry game between two local teams (high school football season). The people in the stands represent the people of America, sitting idly by watching the events of the day. The color green speaks of flesh, or carnal activity, and the stadium speaks of business as usual in the sports and entertainment field (people don't see what is coming ahead because they are too busy with fleshly pursuits to hear the warnings from God). There will be a body count from the explosions and the gunfire, and the bayonets, as well as some prisoners will be taken (by foreign invaders?)It will be at times a bloody and gruesome scene.

Beloved, hide the word in your heart and pray for your friends and family. Great sorrows are coming to our land. Pray the song that David spoke when the Lord had delivered him out of the hands of his enemies. 2 Samuel 22:v2 And he said, The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; v3 The God of my rock; in Him will I trust; He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my savior; thou savest me from violence. v4 I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies. v47 the Lord liveth, and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation. Calm in the Storm

Dear Beloved: I had dream on 3/21 that I would like to share. In the dream I am in a building with some other people, we are looking out the window and watching a great wind blow outside. Ceiling tiles, clothing, furniture, and lots of other stuff of every description was blowing down the street. Some people were running out into the street, trying to salvage some of the furniture and stuff that is blowing by.

I believe the Lord is showing me that the tornado that is coming to the land is very near, we will start to feel the effects of it very soon. Please read two Dreams of Tornado posted on this site back on 1/5/11 and 8/6/10. As the front edge of the tornado comes into town, the greatest impact will initially be felt in the area of financial breakdown, and as a result many will lose their possessions and precious belongings. Some will risk their lives running out into the storm to rescue a family heirloom, but for many they will lose everything. The time is very short, as the Lord has given two dreams prior concerning the tornado, and now the wind is here.

Mark 4:35 And on that day, when evening had come, He said to them,"Let us go over to the other side." v36 And leaving the multitude, they took Him along with them, just as He was, in the boat, and other boats were with Him. v37 And there arose a fierce gale of wind, and the waves were breaking over the boat so much that the boat was already filling up. v38 and He Himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they awoke Him and said to Him, "Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?" v39 And being aroused, He rebuked the wind and said to the sea, "Hush, be still." And the wind died down and it became perfectly calm. v40 And He said to them, "Why are you so timid? How is it that you have not faith? v41 And they became very much afraid, and said to one another, "Who is this then, that even the wind and the sea obey him?"

Beloved, the time of the great storm is upon us. God has shown me over the past few years that the time of judgment on America will be a time of great shaking, and even the strongest of us will be at times rocked to the core. Jesus can calm the storm in your life, He is the answers when all the seas around you are being violently tossed to and fro. Hide yourself in Him, He alone is the refuge that can calm the storm. Without Him we would all perish, with Him we will make it through safely to the other side. Psalm 91:4 He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.

God Protects His Anointed

Dear beloved: Some people in the body of Christ feel it is their duty to attack and malign others who are serving or ministering in the body, primarily because their methods or anointings are in some way different or unfamiliar. Or in other instances, the manifestations of the Holy Spirit come to ministries in ways in which we are not familiar. Beware making judgments about God's anointed, for in so doing you may be doing the work of Satan in bringing down the movement of God.

In speaking of Abraham sojourning in the land of Canaan, God speaks in Psalm 105:14 He suffered no man to do them wrong; yea, He reproved kings for their sakes; v15 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm. God protects His chosen and His anointed, it is His sovereign right to choose His prophets and to allow them to minister, even in ways that we may not agree with or acknowledge. When Saul pursued David into the cave at Engedi in 1 Samuel 24:1-6, David had an opportunity to take Saul out (v4) but instead chose to cut off the edge of Saul's robe secretly. v5 And it came about afterward that David's conscience bothered him because he had cut off the edge of Saul's robe. v6 So he said to his men, "Far be it from me because of the Lord that I should do this thing to my Lord, the Lord's anointed, to stretch out my hand against him, since he is the Lord's anointed." v7 And David persuaded his men with these words and did not allow them to rise up against Saul. And Saul arose, and left the cave, and went on his way.

When we speak against other ministries and God's anointed, Satan just stands back and watches with glee, content that his dirty work is being done by those who profess to be part of the body of Christ. So it just makes his job that much easier, and it also gives justification for unbelievers to mock the body, saying, "look at the way they tear each other down, where is the love and compassion they preach?" Mark 9:38 John said to Him, "Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we tried to hinder him because he was not following us." v39 But Jesus said," Do not hinder him, for there is no one who shall perform a miracle in My name, and be able soon afterward to speak evil of Me. v40 "For he who is not against us is for us." So Jesus is saying leave them alone, God is big enough to take care of them if they are not of us, but in the meantime do not discount their work.

Beloved, all those who are ministering in the name of Jesus need our prayers, not our snap judgments and condemnation. When we judge incorrectly or hastily, we bring condemnation on ourselves as well as the body of Christ. Why don't we pray for each other instead? Pray for those whom you may have disagreements with, or whom you may question their methods. Just because the Holy Spirit manifests differently under a person's anointing doesn't mean it is not of God. Pray that God would anoint in an even greater way those that He has chosen. Prayers for Japan

Dear beloved: I have received word that an aunt of mine from Kansas is in Japan and was on the 17th floor of an apartment building in Tokyo when the earthquake struck. She was obviously terrified as was her family and all others in Japan; the building swayed and rocked but no major damage was done in the area where they were. She and her family will stay in Japan for awhile longer, they intend to go to the south of the country where power and fuel is in fairly normal supply and then return back to Kansas. We know many others were not so fortunate, please join me in prayer as this disaster could have easily been here in the United States with equally devastating results. There but by the grace of God go I.

Luke 13:1 There were present at that season some that told Him of the Galilaeans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices v2 And Jesus answering said unto them, do you suppose that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things? v3 I tell you, no, but except you repent, you shall all likewise perish. v4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, do you think that they were sinners above all men that dwell in Jerusalem? v5 I tell you, no, but except you repent, you shall all likewise perish. Beloved, God is shaking the whole world to try to wake people up to His presence, He is calling out to all to come to Him, to repent and kneel at the foot of the cross, to cry out for mercy in this hour of sorrows.

This type if shaking is coming to the United States, get ready for it. Please get your spiritual house in order, get your feet on the Rock of Jesus! Make some physical preparations and store up some things that you will need in case of emergency. You can also look up the dreams given to me by the Lord posted in 2010, mostly in February and March, that speak of coming famine and breakdown here in the United States. This is part of the judgment of God over this and other nations, and it will last for several years, this is just the beginning. Psalm 91:1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. v2 I will say to the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress;in Him will I trust. v11 He will give His angels charge concerning you, to keep you in all your ways. v12 They shall bear you up in their hands, lest you strike your foot against a stone.
Beloved, get yourself and your family under the shelter of His wings, do not put it off. The time of reckoning is now, the Spirit is moving very quickly. May God bless you this day, in Christ, Jim

Rain Down, Snow Down

Dear beloved: As we are entering a new season in the Lord and watching another beautiful snowfall, it seems that everyone is undergoing an intensity of onslaught from the enemy, as well as the judgment of God being unleashed in the form of natural disasters, and financial pressures as never before. Years ago I used to sing a lot of southern gospel music, and one of my favorites was a song titled "Where Could I Go But to the Lord?". Where could I go, where could I go, seeking a refuge from the storm, Needing a friend to help me in the end, where could I go but to the Lord?

Psalm 121:1-7 v1 I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; From where does my help come from? v2 My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth. v3 He will not allow your foot to slip; He who keeps you will not slumber. v4 Behold, He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. v5 The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade on your right hand. v6 The sun will not smite you by day, nor the moon by night. v7 The Lord will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul. v8 The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forever.

Beloved, start speaking God's word over yourself, your family, your finances, your church, and everything else that you want God to touch in this time of harvest. God is allowing all these trials and tribulations to come into our lives because He wants to clean us up and get us ready for the return of His Son Jesus Christ. He is trying to stretch our faith and build warriors for His kingdom, prayer warriors, servant warriors, love and compassion warriors, all those attributes that are in Jesus Christ, He wants to bring those forth in us also.
Isaiah 55:10 For as the rain and snow come down from heaven, And do not return there without watering the earth, And making it bear and sprout, And furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; v11 So shall My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me empty(void) Without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent

God is watching over His word to perform it. He wants it to succeed in the purpose for which He sent, so speak it, pray it, sing it, meditate on it, and it will water your garden just as the rain and snow water it. God bless you this day, in Christ, Jim

Time of Sorrows

Dear beloved: It is obvious from recent new events that we are very much in the time of sorrows, the time of birth pangs, and the sorrows and pangs are beoming increasingly stronger and closer together. Matthew 24:6-8 And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not troubled, for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. v7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be famines and pestilence, and earthquakes in diverse places. v8 All these are the beginning of sorrows (birth pangs).

God gave a prophetic sign when a 6.3 magnitude earthquake rocked Christchurch, New Zealand. We are saddened by the deaths and injuries, and of coarse the devestation of the city will take many years to rebuild. The main spire of the Anglican Cathedral in the center of Christchurch was toppled, the exclamation point on the shaking of that city. The Lord is saying to all who have ears to hear, and especially to Christ's church, His church, get ready for a great shaking is coming. Haggai 2:6 For thus saith the Lord of hosts, Yet once, in a little while, I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land. v7 And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come; and I will fill this house with glory, saith the Lord of Hosts. Everything in our world is going to get shaken, so therefore, get your eyes on Jesus and your feet on the rock that cannot be shaken. Get your eyes off man's doctines, man's denominations, man's rewriting of the scriptures to accommodate his sinful desires, for God is going to shake all of that to the ground, just as he did the spire of the Christchurch Cathedral.

I Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin in the house of God; and if it first begin with us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? v18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? v19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to Him in well being, as unto a faithful Creator. Beloved, this is a time of self examination, for how can we in the church bring to the world the message of salvation if we ourselves are full of sin? Let judgment begin in the house of God, so we can be ready to bring in the harvest of the ungodly and the sinner, as the Lord requires. Examine yourself this day, heed the warning from God! Get your feet planted firmly on the Rock, Jesus Christ. May God bless you this day, in Christ, Jim

After reading the posting of urgency to prepare I know now is the time to release a dream given to me by the Lord while I was in Costa Rica ministering to the Cabecar indigenous people last April 09. The Lord downloaded prophetic dreams into me every night I was in the remote jungle with those precious people. Dream of famine to come: Part 1, A large black horse, it looked like a Percheron stallion, came out with a rider on its back holding a balance scale in his hand. I immediately recognized it as the black horse of Rev.6:5 and when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat upon him had a pair of balances in his hand. v6 and I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three measures of barley for a denarius, and do not hurt the wine or the oil. Immediately after I identified the black horse and the rider, the horse reared up and threw the rider off. Part two of the dream: I was standing in front of a dough roller, like what is used in pizza kitchens to roll out pizza crusts. Long chains of dough were coming out of the roller, and I was helping to pull them out as I was standing about 5 feet away in front of the machine. All of a sudden, the long chains of dough began to break into short pieces and fall to the ground in front of me. I reached out and tried to catch them as they fell to the ground, but I could not catch them. The Lord brought to my recollection the peanut factory in Georgia that had been shut down for sending out contaminated peanut products causing many to be recalled. Third part of dream: I was showing some people my flour mill which is on my farm. We were standing watching the mill grind flour and blow it up into the sifter.

Interpretation of the dream: Part 1, scarcity of food and hyperinflation will make food extremely hard to obtain and very expensive. Currently wheat can be purchased locally for about five dollars per bushel, a sixty pound measure. A quart of wheat for a denarius, a day's wage, will mean that prices and availability will put the price of it out of most people's reach. The rider with scales being thrown off means that balance will be out of control, chaos will reign, there will be no order. A horse that throws his rider is out of control. Scarcity could come from many directions, including drought, pestilence, blight in the seed, chaos in the cities, terrorism, or natural disasters. Part 2, The Lord is saying the food chain is going to break. The food chain in America is built upon trucking food far from its point of production to its point of consumption, and it all depends on just in time delivery. The stores will be easily and quickly be cleaned out. Disruption of the chain will be the order of the day, there are many break points along the chain that will be easily broken and the chain will break. When the chain breaks, part three will become reality. Part 3, local production of food will also be the order of the day. The mill we were standing in front of mills about 300 pounds of wheat flour per hour, the Lord was saying get ready to mill. Home production and local food supply systems will be the only reliable source of food. Get your gardens going, your food preserved, grains set aside, and local production facilities ramped up. You will need it! Final note. This is not just about self preservation. Prov. 11:24 There is that scattereth, and yet increases; and there is that withholds more than is meet, but it tend to poverty v25 the liberal soul shall be made fat, and he that watereth shall be watered himself, v26 He that witholds corn, the people shall curse him; but blessing shall be upon him that selleth it. Opportunity Delayed, Not Opportunity Denied

Dear beloved: Many times when we see a door of opportunity close we think we may have failed, or that maybe God doesn't know how much we want to do something, or we may think that in some way we know better than God about the timing or advancing of an event. Proverbs 16:9 says, In his heart a man plans(devises) his ways, but the Lord directs his steps. Ultimately, God sees the whole picture and therefore His timing is always perfect, and His plan is always the perfect plan.

Recently I was at a fellowship meeting and a prophet/evangelist stood up to preach, but before he began to preach he spoke this word: for someone in this room, the Lord is saying to you tonight, Opportunity delayed is not opportunity denied. Instantly I knew that the word was for me, as just that very day I was intending to be on a plane headed for Kenya to do the first of a series of crusades, but I had instead decided to postpone the crusades until this summer to give more time gain provision and a stronger team. It was a very painful and agonizing decision to have to postpone, and yet I knew ultimately that it was the right thing to do as I just didn't feel ready in the appointed time frame I had given for myself.

Acts 16:7And when they (Paul and his companions) came to the border of Mysia, they tried to enter Bythnia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to. v8 So they passed by Mysia and went down to Troas. v9 During the night Paul had a vision of a man of Macedonia standing and begging him, "Come over to Macedonia and help us." v10 After Paul had seen the vision, we got ready at once to leave for Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them. And so as God closed one door for Paul, He opened another, and for reasons known only to Him, sent Paul and His companions to Macedonia where someone was begging for them to come. Beloved, do not be discouraged if the door that seemed to be open is suddenly closed, for God can open doors that no man can shut, and shut doors that no man can open. Dream of Kenya Crusades

Dear beloved: Recently while leading worship at a service in the prison, the Lord flashed across my mind a dream that I had back in 2005 that I had completely forgotten about. It flashed in my mind with a bright light, like a spotlight, and blazed up out of my memory, as if the Lord was saying to me,"Do not forget this dream!"

In the dream I am standing on a stage in front of a crowd of thousands of people, preaching the word to them. In my right hand is a bible that I am holding up in the air, and in my left hand is a gunny sack full of ear corn, with the words "Revelation 22" written on the front of the bag.
Behind me is a large, round corn crib, stocked full of ear corn the way it used to be stored years ago on farms all across the midwest. In front of me, between the stage and the crowd, were a couple rows of prison inmates, all dressed in the clean, blue shirts they wear for the callouts in the prison. The Lord was showing me I was going to be delivering the meat of the word to thousands of people and that the inmates in the prison would be the intercessors for me as the word went forth.

Matthew 4:4 Jesus answered the tempter and said, "It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God." Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives, and discovery of sight for the blind, to set free those who are downtrodden, v19 to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord. v21 And He began to say to them, "Today the scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing."

Praise the Lord, for he has also anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, to share with them the vision of Revelation chapter 22, a new heaven and new earth. Rev 22:3 And there shall no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His bondservants shall serve Him, v4 and they shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads v5 And there shall no longer be any night; and they shall not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God shall illumine them; and they shall reign forever and ever. Fulfillment in Service

Dear beloved: As the return of Jesus Christ draws near, it is more important than ever before that we understand the importance of service to others as the way to people's hearts. In Matthew 25:34, then the King will say to those on his right hand, come, ye blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; v35 for I was hungry and you gave me food, thirsty, and you gave me drink; and a stranger, and you took me in; v36 Naked, and you clothed me; I was sick and you visited me; I was in prison, and you came unto me. v37 Then shall the righteous answer unto him, saying, Lord when did we see you hungry, and feed thee, or thirsty, and gave you drink, v38 When did we see you a stranger, and take you in, or naked and clothed thee? v39 or when did we see you sick or in prison and come to thee? v40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me.

High unemployment rates, breakdown in the food supplies, natural disasters such as earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, all these things will be part of the storm that is coming to America in the days ahead. We will see natural disasters, coupled with manmade disasters such as terrorist attacks and breakdown in law and order, to bring a perfect storm, a confluence of many forces that will shake even the strongest of us. Many will need food, and drink, and clothing, and shelter, in addition to visitation for those who are sick and hurting or locked up in prison. Beloved, this is a grim picture of what is coming upon America, yet the Lord has showed me over and over in prophetic dreams that this is the reality we will be dealing with.

Matthew 9:35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. v36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. v37 Then He said unto His disciples, the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; v38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He will send forth laborers into His harvest. As we minister to the sick and hurting, to the sheep who do not have a shepherd, we are doing then what Jesus himself would be doing if he was here on this earth, reaching out with care and compassion to a lost and dying world. As we share Christ's love in this way, many will see that love for what it is, the presence of Jesus Christ on this earth. Beloved, pray about your place to serve, for when you do you will be blessed as much or more as those that you serve. In service you will find true fulfillment and joy. Kenya Crusades Postponed

Dear beloved: As of this writing the Kenya crusades have been postponed until late June or July. The Lord has opened doors for me to preach crusades in three locations in Kenya: Kibera in Nairobi, Mumias in western Kenya, and in the south near Mt. Kilimanjaro. All will be three to four night crusades with pastor training and visits to orphans and widows during the days. Pray with me that the Lord will provide the necessary provision to see these crusades come to pass. More Dream of Inflation

Dear beloved: The Lord gave me another dream of inflation a couple months ago, it confirms the other dreams I have had of the coming economic tornado that is very close to the land. In this dream I am coming onto a railroad trestle and we come upon four cattle (a couple of them big cows or bulls). They were chained to the tracks with big log chains and boomers, it looked like it was going to be instant death for them when the train came by. Then one bull broke his chains and came at me, and locked his teeth on me, it really hurt, but I got his teeth pried off of me and it didn't seem to draw any blood.

This is the interpretation as I believe the Lord has given it: The inflationary cycles, the cattle on the tracks (bull markets), will come in waves and are destined to happen. The economy, the train coming down the tracks, is on a coarse that has been going on for a long time and it is not going to change at this point, it is on the track and will stay on the track. When it reaches the first calf, it breaks the calf loose and it will spring forth onto every person with a serious bite, it will "take a big bite" out of your paycheck and your purchasing power. The other bulls on the tracks are chained in position and they will be the next waves of the inflationary cycle.

Genesis 41:53-54 When the seven years of plenty which had been in the land of Egypt came to an end, and the seven years of famine began to come, just as Joseph had said, then there was famine in all the lands; but in all the land of Egypt there was bread. v56 When the famine was spread over all the face of the earth, then Joseph opened all the storehouses, and sold to the Egyptians, and the famine was severe in the land of Egypt. v57 and the people of the earth came to Egypt to buy grain from Joseph, because the famine was severe in all the earth.
Genesis 47:15 And when the money was all spent in the land of Egypt and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came to Joseph and said, "Give us food, for why should we die in your presence? For our money is gone." v16 Then Joseph said, "Give up your livestock, and I will give you food for your livestock, since your money is gone." v18 And when the year was ended, they came to Joseph the next year and said to him, "We will not hide from my lord that all our money is gone, and all the cattle are my lord's. There is nothing left for my lord except our bodies and our lands." v20 So Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharoah, for every Egyptian sold his field, because the famine was severe upon them. Thus the land became Pharoah's.

Beloved, now is the time to trust in the Lord of heaven and earth. V4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of our God, the holy dwelling place of the Most High. v5 God is in the midst of her, she will not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns. v6 The nations made an uproar, the kingdoms tottered; He raised His voice, the earth melted. v7 The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our stronghold. Dream of Coming Inflation Along With Dead Birds and Fish

Dear beloved: The Lord gave me a dream a while back that I believe speaks of the coming inflation that will eat away at our economy and our purchasing power. In the dream I am going into a super market and I walk down the aisles in the produce section. Many of the bins are empty, no potatoes, no onions, no tomatoes. Then I go look for corned beef for reuben sandwiches and they were out of that also. They did have some meats on display, but may have been just for display and not really for purchase. Prices of the meats were very high, 10-13 dollars per pound depending on the cut. A carrot cassarole was on display and it was for sale at 13 dollars per pound, I thought, wow, that is really high. That is when the dream ended.

The time is approaching when the dollar will inflate dramatically and the prices and availability to purchase food as we are accustomed to doing will be over. Rampant inflation and breakdown in supplies will leave many without the ability to have adequate food. I urge you to store up some food and water and get ready for the breakdown that is coming, at the very least have some canned goods and canned meats on hand to get you through a transition period of a few weeks or months until prices and supply lines stabilize.

At the beginning of the new year the Lord sent a sign to the whole world that a new day was dawning. Birds fell from the sky and fish died in rivers in Arkansas as well as other places around the world; God heralded the coming of the new year with a sign from the earth and sky. Hosea 4:3 Therefore the land mourns, And everyone who lives in it languishes, Along with the beasts of the field and the birds of the sky; And also the fish of the sea disappear (are taken away). Beloved, the whole earth is mourning, all of creation is crying out for redemption, groaning for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. Verse 2 of that same passage tells the reason why the land mourns, V2 There is swearing, deception, murder, stealing, and adultery. They employ violence, so that bloodshed follows bloodshed. Hosea goes on to say in verse 6, My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge, because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being My priest. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. Beloved, pray for this land, for our children, that we would turn back to the Lord; cry out for revival and for the glory of God to be restored to our land. God Hears Your Prayers

Dear beloved: At this time of distress and sorrows in our nation's history, know that the God who created you hears your prayers and is compassionate about every detail of your life. Many times in the confusion and busyness of life we forget to cry out to God, reserving that for the times that we are very broken and in desperate need. I want to encourage you, beloved, to humble yourself before the Lord, this day and every day, and know that God loves you and cares about you.

In Daniel chapter 10, we read about the classic battle between good and evil that is a picture of the battle going on in the life of every believer. Daniel is fasting amd praying, mourning and crying out to the Lord for understanding and deliverance of his people. Dan10:2 At that time, I, Daniel, mourned for 3 weeks. I ate no choice foods; no meat, or wine touched my lips, and I used no lotions at all until the three weeks were over. As a result of the fast and humbling himself before the Lord, God sent His heavenly messenger, the angel of the Lord to speak to Daniel. In verse 11, the angel speaks to Daniel, "Daniel, you who are highly esteemed, consider carefully the words I am about to speak to you, and stand up, for I have now been sent to you." And when he said this to me, I stood up trembling." v12 Then he continued,"Do not be afraid, Daniel. For since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them."

Beloved, do not give up hope when you haven't heard from the Lord for your breakthrough. Keep praying, keep believing, keep lifting up your prayers to the God who can move heaven and earth; He hears your prayers and just as He sent an angel in response to Daniel's request and humbling himself before God, so will He for you. God knows your every need (Matthew 6:8) even before you speak them, and He knows your heart. He will send His angels to guard over you(Psalm 91:11), and He will send His angels to minister to you in your time of need.(Matthew 4:11) Ask in faith and watch the Lord do it, He is faithful to hear our every word! Second Dream of Tornado

Dream of Tornado

Dear beloved: Last night the Lord gave me a dream of a tornado coming, I believe it was for us as a fasting group as well as a warning for the general population. This is the second dream I have had about tornadoes coming in the last few months, so the Lord is emphasizing to me the urgency of the hour. In the first dream, given last fall, I was in the home of a banker here in town and a tornado approached Norton from the southwest, it was a big tornado that dropped down from a dark and foreboding cloud. I was desperate to get word out to the people in town that the tornado was approaching, so I ran to the radio station and gave the message out over the air. I believe the Lord was saying a great economic storm is coming (banker's home) and that it was rapidly approaching, and that I was to warn the people over the radio air waves ( my Sunday morning radio program).

In the dream last night, we (the fasting group) were all gathered in a house and the word went out that the tornado was very near, and that we needed to go to the basement immediately. Some were lagging behind and procrastinating, while others started to head for the basement. I grabbed a loaf of bread and a jar of peanut butter (food provision) to take with me to the basement. As I left the kitchen, I could actually hear the sound, the roar of the tornado, it was that close. I wqke up, startled by the sound of the tornado.

The Lord is saying get ready, the storm is very near. When economic collapse comes it will happen quickly and cause great chaos and calamity. Many will be unprepared, both physically and spiritually. Get some provision set aside, food and water supplies, as well as matches, candles, flashlight batteries, etc. the kind of things you will need in emergency situations. In addition get your feet on the Rock of Jesus. Matthew 7:24-27 "Therefore, anyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts upon them, may be compared to a wise man, who built his house upon the rock. v25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and burst against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded upon the rock. v26 And everyone who hears these words of Mine, and does not act upon them, will be like a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand. v27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and burst against the house; and it fell, and great was its fall."

Fasting and Prayer Pt 2

Dear beloved: In Matthew 9:14, John's disciples ask Jesus a question. v14 Then came to Him the disciples of John, saying, "Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but thy disciples do not fast?" v15 And Jesus said unto them," Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then they shall fast."
Then Jesus goes on to say in v16," no man putteth a piece of new cloth onto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up pulls away from the garment, and the tear is made worse. v17 Nor do men put new wine into old wineskins; otherwise the wineskins burst, and the wine pours out, and the wineskins are ruined; but they put new wine into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved."

And so Jesus is saying to us about fasting, that it is mourning for Him, it is self affliction to remind us that He is not with us but will be coming back again. And so as we mourn for Him we stay in expectation of His return, a reminder to us that this earth is not our home, that we are just passing through and that our real home is in heaven with the Bridegroom. Fasting also prepares us to receive new wine by renewing our wineskin, so that both the new wine and the wineskin will be preserved. The new wine is fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit, new revelation, greater anointing, and physical rest and rejuvenation.

Isahiah 42:9" Behold, the former things have come to pass, now I declare new things; Before they spring forth I proclaim them to you." Beloved, God wants to pour some new wine into you, get ready to receive! But before He does that, He has to prepare a new wineskin; shed that old one since it is spent and stretched and unable to receive the new declarations. As you allow the Lord to prepare you, let go of old mindsets and the former things, and be open to what the Holy Spirit has for you this day. Thank Him and praise Him, He is worthy of our praise! Fasting for Victory

Dear beloved: As we begin our fast today, it would be good to meditate on this point: What is the purpose of the fast? Isaiah tells us what God thinks about fasting in Isaiah 58:6-9. The whole chapter of Isaiah 58 is the most comprehensive chapter in the Bible regarding fasting, so spend some time studying it and meditating on the instruction given there. In verses 6-9, Isaiah lays out what God feels about fasting, v6 Is this not the fast that I (God) choose? to loosen the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, and to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke? v7 Is it not to divide your bread with the hungry, and bring the homeless poor into the house; When you see the naked, to cover him; and not to hide yourself from your own flesh? V8 Then your light will break out like the dawn, and your recovery will speedily spring forth; and your righteousness will go before you; The glory of the Lord will be your rear guard. v9 Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; You will cry, and He will say, "Here I am."

So we can see that the purposes of fasting can be easily identified. 1. v6, to break the bonds of wickedness, or in other words, to get rid of demonic strongholds in our life. Any agreements we have made with the enemy will be brought before us and we will have to renounce and break those agreements, so that we can walk in freedom as God intended for us. 2. v7, to share your bread and provision with those who do not have food, water, or shelter. Fasting is an act of justice because it allows you to share your portion of provision with those who do not have any. 3. v8 There is physical healing also in fasting, your recovery will speed forth. Many illnesses, especially in America, are caused by excess of food, not a lack of it, and so as you fast, your light, your countenance will rise. Fasting is positioning yourself before a righteous and Holy God, and so as you present yourself before Him, you take on His nature and His glory. 4. v9, As you cry out to the Lord for your needs as well as the needs of others, God promises to hear your cry, and He will answer you, "Here I am." What more could we ask for than to hear the Father of all creation say to us, 'Here I am". What reassuring words!

Even a desire to fast and pray causes the demons to shudder, because they know what Isaiah 58 says also. They do not want to see you walk in freedom or get loose from any bond or yoke of wickedness. And so be strengthened in knowing that many faithful brothers and sisters in the Lord are fasting and praying with you at this time; it is a time of great victory for the kingdom. Looking Forward to 2011

Dear beloved: As we look in the rear view mirror at 2010 and look forward to 2011, what is the spirit of God saying as we embark on the coming year? I believe the spirit is saying prepare your hearts for the separation of light from darkness which will bring astounding changes in the world we are accustomed to seeing. Phillipians 3:12 (Paul) not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that which Christ Jesus took hold of me. v13 Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it, but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining towards what lies ahead, v14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. (NIV) God is preparing the church and His faithful to receive the second coming of the Lord Christ Jesus; are you ready for His coming?

The trials for all will be much stronger, but God will also provide for and pour out on His elect blessings for ministry, blessings for provision, blessings for families, and signs, wonders, and miracles in ways that have not been seen before. Get ready for some mighty outpourings of the Holy Spirit! We are already seeing some of that as the days of 2010 come to a close, the Bay of the Holy Spirit revival in Mobile, Alabama, and the Awakening that went on for several months at IHOP in Kansas City. The outpourings of the spirit that are coming in the days ahead will be much stronger and be marked with signs, wonders, and miracles. As the darkness of the natural world grows, so too will the Light of the world shine brighter! Many people will wander in confusion seeking answers to the problems of our economy, the moral confusion, false teaching from the church and false prophets; however, the Lord is saying do not fear. 2Timothy 1:7 For God did not give us a spirit of fear (timidity), but a spirit of power, of love and a strong mind. Fear is the oppostite of faith, if you let fear dominate your life, it just shows you need to trust in the Lord more and turn your fears over to Him!

Phillipians 4:6 Brethren, be anxious for nothing, but in all things through prayer and supplication (plea for mercy), with thanksgiving, make your requests known unto the Lord. As you lay your pleas and prayers at the feet of the Lord Jesus, give thanks for what you have, and ask Him for strength in the days ahead. We will all need it! There will be events that rock our world that will shake even the strongest of us. But do not fear, for the Lord will give His angels charge to cover and guard us. Psalm 91:11. God is With Us

Dear beloved: As we approach the day on which we celebrate the birth of our Savior, ponder the fact that as a believer in the Lord Jesus this is your reality: God is with you! Matthew 1:22-23, Now all this took place that what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet might be fulfilled, saying, v23 "Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel," which translated means "God with us". Galatians 2:20 tells us essentially the same thing, as Paul stated it, "for I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live but Christ who lives within me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and delivered himself up for me." And so as we walk out our daily walk we do so by faith in the One who gave Himself up for us on the cross.

Many people do not know or recognize their identity in Christ, therefore they make all kinds of agreements with the enemy that gradually defeats them and brings them down through depression, addictions, loss of fellowship, broken relationships, and in general just a life of broken dreams and defeat. Thus it is easy for the enemy of our souls to defeat us if we do not walk in the identity of our Savior. Understand this, that the enemy will always try to tear you away from the kingdom of God, that he will never rest and leave you alone to be a child of God, but he will always continually come at you with temptation and trials. But also know that as a child of God, the God that is within you is greater than the god of this world. 1 John 4:4 You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. v5 They( the spirit of the antichrist) are from the world; therefore they speak as from the world, and the world listens to them. v6 We are from God; he who knows God listens to us, he who is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

Before Jesus had even spoken one word the devil was already trying to destroy him, and so to will the devil try to destroy you. Matthew 2:13 Now when they had departed, behold and angel of the Lord appeared in a dream saying, "Arise and take the Child and His mother, and flee to Egypt, and remain there until I tell you; for Herod is going to search for the Child to destroy Him." The devil knows the plans the Lord has for your life, and he will do everything in his power to keep you from fulfilling your destiny in the Lord. But God says when you are doing His will, when you are being a witness to His kingdom and a light for the world, that He will be with you to guide you, strengthen you, and keep you. What better promise could there be than that. Matthew 28:19 "Go therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, v20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, EVEN TO THE END OF THE AGE." Upcoming Kenya Crusades

Dear beloved:
The Lord has opened up the doors for me to go to Kenya again, probably in mid February to early March. The doors have opened to preach evangelism crusades in three parts of the country: 1) the first will be in Kibera, the big slum in Nairobi the capitol city, with half a million people crammed into a very small territory with deplorable sanitation conditions.(please see my website www.gathertheoutcasts.com and click on events, a video of Kibera will come up, you can get a good idea of the conditions in Kibera), 2) in Mumias, in west Kenya near the Uganda border, and 3) a church conference in south Kenya near Mt. Kilimanjaro. Each of the crusades will be open air for 3-4 nights, with praise bands, African singers and dancers, and will also have pastor training sessions during the day.

Last week in the prison an inmate came up after the service and said the Lord had shown him in a dream that on the second night of the crusade,(I'm assuming in the Kibera crusade), that 681 people would receive a miraculous healing. In addition to that, a year ago at IHOP One Thing conference in Kansas City a lady prophesied over me that 800 people would come to know the Lord the first time I speak over there, and she said "the Lord will give you more if you ask Him for them." So we asked the Lord for thousands right then and there! So you can see the prophetic word has been spoken over me and the will of the Lord is for me to go and take this nation for the Kingdom, 3 crusades in 3 parts of the country, to bring in the glory and bring heaven down to earth.

Last week I was questioning the Lord for the scope and size of this vision, it appeared to me to be like a mountain for the size of my ministry and the way I am accustomed to operating. The Lord gave me a dream that showed me I was thinking too small. In the dream I was in a basketball game, and the hoop I was shooting at was very small in diameter, like a nerf ball hoop, too small for the size of the ball I was shooting to go in. The Lord was saying to me, "Jim, your vision is too small, your goal too small, you need to enlarge your goal!" Phillipians 4:19 But my God shall supply all of your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Mark 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. v24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Beloved, pray with me that the things I ask for regarding these crusades will come to pass, that the Lord will remove any doubt and unbelief from my heart, that all the prophesies and dreams will be fulfilled. If the Lord puts on your heart to be an intercessor for these crusades, or to contribute financially to help bring them to pass, please contact me and let me know what the Lord in saying to you. After reading the posting of urgency to prepare I know now is the time to release a dream given to me by the Lord while I was in Costa Rica ministering to the Cabecar indigenous people last April 09. The Lord downloaded prophetic dreams into me every night I was in the remote jungle with those precious people. Dream of famine to come: Part 1, A large black horse, it looked like a Percheron stallion, came out with a rider on its back holding a balance scale in his hand. I immediately recognized it as the black horse of Rev.6:5 and when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat upon him had a pair of balances in his hand. v6 and I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three measures of barley for a denarius, and do not hurt the wine or the oil. Immediately after I identified the black horse and the rider, the horse reared up and threw the rider off. Part two of the dream: I was standing in front of a dough roller, like what is used in pizza kitchens to roll out pizza crusts. Long chains of dough were coming out of the roller, and I was helping to pull them out as I was standing about 5 feet away in front of the machine. All of a sudden, the long chains of dough began to break into short pieces and fall to the ground in front of me. I reached out and tried to catch them as they fell to the ground, but I could not catch them. The Lord brought to my recollection the peanut factory in Georgia that had been shut down for sending out contaminated peanut products causing many to be recalled. Third part of dream: I was showing some people my flour mill which is on my farm. We were standing watching the mill grind flour and blow it up into the sifter.

Interpretation of the dream: Part 1, scarcity of food and hyperinflation will make food extremely hard to obtain and very expensive. Currently wheat can be purchased locally for about five dollars per bushel, a sixty pound measure. A quart of wheat for a denarius, a day's wage, will mean that prices and availability will put the price of it out of most people's reach. The rider with scales being thrown off means that balance will be out of control, chaos will reign, there will be no order. A horse that throws his rider is out of control. Scarcity could come from many directions, including drought, pestilence, blight in the seed, chaos in the cities, terrorism, or natural disasters. Part 2, The Lord is saying the food chain is going to break. The food chain in America is built upon trucking food far from its point of production to its point of consumption, and it all depends on just in time delivery. The stores will be easily and quickly be cleaned out. Disruption of the chain will be the order of the day, there are many break points along the chain that will be easily broken and the chain will break. When the chain breaks, part three will become reality. Part 3, local production of food will also be the order of the day. The mill we were standing in front of mills about 300 pounds of wheat flour per hour, the Lord was saying get ready to mill. Home production and local food supply systems will be the only reliable source of food. Get your gardens going, your food preserved, grains set aside, and local production facilities ramped up. You will need it!

Final note. This is not just about self preservation. Prov. 11:24 There is that scattereth, and yet increases; and there is that withholds more than is meet, but it tend to poverty v25 the liberal soul shall be made fat, and he that watereth shall be watered himself, v26 He that witholds corn, the people shall curse him; but blessing shall be upon him that selleth it. I will be posting more dreams this week concerning the days ahead.

Dream of Coming Inflation

Dear beloved: I recently had a dream of what I believe to be revelation on the coming economic meltdown and ensuing turmoil here in the United States and around the world. This dream was given to me a few months ago and I have prayed about it and asked the Lord for revelation as I have pondered its meaning. If anyone has revelation given on it that the Lord shows you, please let me know. Part 1, I was in an arena of some kind watching a bunch of cattle and bulls. Many of the bulls were raging, coming at some of the people who were standing in a line to get ice cream, and there were some smaller bulls going into the line as people got their ice cream. Then from that line I looked back into the valley below and saw a very big bull in another arena, and he was trying to get out. Part 2, I saw a glass container with a sweet potato baked in it off to one end of a table. Part 3, A bunch of people were laid out on the ground, dead, and I ran some kind of a wheel, like a measuring wheel, across the heads of the dead bodies, as if to measure or count them. Then I picked up a chair and moved it into position under a tree.

Interpretation of the dream: I believe the Lord is saying there will be small runs of inflation that will come against the economy of the country, especially in the area of food items. People will be standing in line for food and the bulls will keep raging and coming at them to take away their purchasing power for food. Psalm 22:11-13 Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help. v12 Many bulls have compassed me; strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round. v13 they gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and roaring lion.(satan, the destroyer). The big bull still in the pen in the valley will be the final destroyer of the economy when he gets out, as he is much bigger than the rest. With the sweet potatoes in the baking dish, I believe the Lord is giving a sense of timing. The smaller bulls will begin to attack in the winter, around Thanksgiving and thereafter, the time when people bake sweet potatoes. The attacks will pick up in frequency and intensity, culminating in the attack from the very large bull, all out inflation that will take away most of the value of the dollar. There will be deaths associated with the turmoil, people standing in bread lines, soup lines, and people who are homeless and jobless who run out of food. There will also be deaths from stealing and lawlessness as breakdown in food supplies leads to increasing turmoil.

The last part of the dream regarding the chair under the tree, the Lord is saying take up a position under His shelter and rest under His authority. Psalm 91:1 He who dwells under the shelter of the Most High, will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. v2 I will say to my Lord, "My refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust!" v3 For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper, and from the deadly pestilence. v4 He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark. V5 You will not be afraid of the terror by night, or of the arrow that flies by day; v6 Of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, or of the destruction that lays waste at noon. v7 A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not approach you. v8 You will only look on with your eyes, and see the recompense of the wicked. v9 For you have made the Lord, my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place. v10 No evil will befall you, nor will any plague come near your tent.
Beloved, pray Psalm 91 over yourself and your family, make the Most High your dwelling place. God bless you, in Christ, Jim

Time of Preparation

Dear beloved: The time for preparation for the shaking that is coming to America is now, it is time to get your spiritual house in order, as well as take care of physical needs for your family to the best of your ability. The economic collapse of the American economy is nearing as the dollar continues to slide and many banks and foreign nations are calling for the dollar to be removed as the reserve currency of the world. When this is done, you will see a new world currency that will replace the dollar and contribute to spiraling costs of all basic items, especially food and essentials that we take for granted. Please read Dream of Tornado on this blog given in August of this year. It is a warning dream of the economic tornado and destruction that will result from it in the days ahead. Also go back to dreams of famine and economic turmoil posted on this blog back in March of this year. Pray about your response for yourself and the welfare of your family.

Luke 12:54, Jesus said to the crowd, "when you see a cloud rising in the west, immediately you say, It's going to rain, and it does. And when the south wind blows, you say, It's going to be hot, and it is. Hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky, how is it that you don't know how to interpret the present time? Beloved, the signs are everywhere about us: falling dollar value, bank failures, government spending that is way beyond out of control, high enemployment, increasing prices for staples such as grains, and those are just the economic barometers. Add to that enemy terrorist cells in every major city, waiting for opportunities to blow up cites, as well as enemies without our borders that are becoming increasingly bold in their attitudes towards a weak America. Beloved, if there ever was a time to cry out to the Lord on behalf of this nation, it is now.

Matthew 24:6-8 Jesus told the disciples of the days ahead when they would see wars and rumors of wars, famines and earthquakes in various places. Then he said in verse 8,all these are the beginning of birth pangs, v9 then you will be handed over and put to death, and v9. you will be hated by all nations because of Me. The time of birth pangs is here, the time when we here in America will be hated if we stand up for Jesus. Beloved, stay in prayer and stay vigilant. Watch and pray! Kenya Report pt7

Dear beloved: I have received an invitation from the Pastor's Association of Kibera, the largest slum in Africa that is 3 miles from downtown Nairobi, to come back to Kenya to preach a series of revival meetings. Kibera is a district without sanitation and is home to about 1 million people; many children there are left as orphans, and the AIDS rate is quite high. I am in the process now of working out times and strategies for the meetings in Kibera. Pray that God would open the doors necessary in Kibera to allow these meetings to go forth, that the provision would be there, that God would bring workers along side for the harvest, and that many in that place would be ushered into the Kingdom as a result of the crusades.
Another pastor from Kibera was touched in a mighty way when I spoke to the pastor's meeting, and later in the week he found me at a revival and asked me what he could do to stir up the spirit in his small church, and in Kibera overall. The Holy Spirit had me to speak to him about a 24-7 IHOP style house of prayer to put a prayer covering over the whole city 24 hours each day. When I started to describe to him the vision I had for his church, he began to weep and cried over and over, "This is from God, this is from God, this is from God!" I received an email from him since returning to the states and have learned that he did get his house of prayer started with 10 people. Please pray that Pastor Vitalis will be steadfast in this venture, that the Lord will bring more workers to his side, and that he will stir up the spirit of the Lord to cover all of Kibera and Nairobi with the covering of the Lord.
I also have an invitation from a pastor in western Kenya, the city of Mumias, to go there and share the gospel with their pastor's association, and to preach to villages in that area. Please pray that God would open up doors in that area, and that he would provide bibles and the provision necessary for that outreach. Thanks to all who are praying for this ministry, for the provision, and for health and safety for me personally.

Kenya Report pt6

Dear beloved: One of the highlights of the Kenya trip was a visit to city hall in downtown Nairobi, where Dr. Joe Kayo holds an evangelism crusade every day of the work week in an auditorium inside city hall. Dr. Kayo is a famous evangelist and pastor who has ministered in Kenya and around the world for many years. He has conducted the meetings in city hall for several years now, and the response has been phenomenal to say the least.

Many of the people who come to the meetings are lawyers, judges, and heads of government and business, all dressed in suit and tie and proper business attire, and they come for one hour every day. Our host pastor Boniface Musoti took Doug McCary and myself down there the first day in Kenya, and we were introduced by Dr. Kayo as men of God from America, it was a thrill to see the Holy Spirit moving amoung the influential and decision makers of Kenya. The hall holds 1,600 people, and there was an overflow crowd the day we were there, and again a week later when we went back and Doug was given an opportunity to bring the message for the day.

We had the privilege to meet Dr. Kayo in a nearby restaurant after the meeting, where he gave us a warm personal welcome and asked questions about our ministries and the crusades we were undertaking in Nairobi. Beloved, this is what we need in America, meetings in every city right under the nose of city government, men and women who are committed to prayer and praise of the Lord right in the middle of their work day! Pray for Dr. Kayo for this vital ministry to continue and to get ever bigger, for the glory of God to take over every aspect of Kenya's government and business affairs. Acts 26:28, And King Agrippa replied to Paul, "in a short time you will pursuade me to become a Christian." v29 And Paul said, "I would to God, that whether in a short or long time, not only you, but also all who hear me this day, might become such as I am, except for these chains."

May all who hear the word spoken at city hall come to believe and serve the risen Lord. Pray for Dr. Kayo, and that the door will be open for me to speak there when I go back to Kenya. God bless you, in Christ, Jim

Kenya Report pt5

Dear beloved: I had an opportunity to preach in a church in Nairobi that was established back in the 50's as one of the first Pentecostal churches in Kenya. Among the evangelists who had preached there over the years was Oral Roberts and T.L. Osborne. I preached a noon meeting at the church and during that meeting God gave a miraculous healing to a lady who had a very painful eye infection.
The lady came forward for an altar call for salvation and for healing, and it was then that I saw from the swollen socket and the redness of the eye that it was a painful infection. As I touched her and prayed over her, the Lord gave her a mighty healing touch, and instantly the pain went out of her eye. I asked her to give a testimony of the healing and she took the microphone and told the people in the church how she had been relieved instantly of the pain that she had felt in her eye. I then asked the pastor to allow her to give her testimony at the Sunday morning service, which he agreed to do.
Beloved, God wants to heal you of physical infirmity, it is His will for you and for all His children. Jesus said in Mark 2:9,"which is easier to say to the paralytic, Your sins are forgiven, or to say, Arise, take up your pallet and walk?" v10 But in order that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins-He said to the paralytic v11 "I say to you, rise, take up your pallet and go home." So Jesus was saying that the One who has the power to forgive sins also has the power to heal us, and also that inherent in the atonement, the sacrifice of Jesus blood, is the ability to heal our infirmities. He demonstrated His salavation power by healing the paralytic. Beloved, believe for your physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. Jesus took the stripes for your healing, Isaiah 53:5. Kenya Report pt4

Dear beloved: While in Kenya I heard testimonies of three former Muslims who the Lord had touched in a mighty way and brought them to a saving knowledge of Him. The first was a former Muslim Imam, or spiritural leader, who had been an imam for most of his adult life. At middle age in his life he was involved in a car accident that left him crippled and in a wheel chair; at that point he did a lot of soul serching and he accepted Jesus as his Lord and savior, and now he is a pastor of a small church in Nairobi! The focus of his church is to reach out to those Muslim communities in Nairobi with the good news that Jesus saves, a mission that he thoroughly enjoys.

The second testimony came from a lady who was walking down the street and had a radical encounter with the Lord. God led her past our crusade grounds where we were singing and dancing, and preaching the message of the gospel, which we did each afternoon in various locations around Nairobi. As she walked past the crusade grounds, she was prompted by the Holy Spirit to stop in and listen to the singing and the message. She was wooed by the message and she stayed on, then the altar call was given and she came forward to answer the call and confess her faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior! What a dramatic end to her Muslim faith and a new beginning with Jesus Christ!

The third testimony I heard was in the church of Pastor Boniface Musoti, our host pastor for the time I was in Nairobi. I had the privilege to preach in his church the last Sunday I was in Nairobi. The testimony was given by a lady from Sudan, who was now living in Nairobi and had come to faith in the Lord after a faith shattering dream she had of Jesus. The events that led up to the dream were that her family was all Muslim and was also involved in black magic and witchcraft to the point that many of her family was being wiped out with sickness and death from practicing the black magic. She prayed for stronger magic but only got sicker and more terrified. Eventually she gave in to a plea from a friend who told her of Jesus Christ and that she needed to give her life to Him and be "born again". So she prayed that Jesus would reveal Himself to her, and that very night Jesus came walking up to her with His nail-pierced hands reaching out to her; He told her how much He loved her and that He wanted her to serve Him forever. She was so shaken by the dream that the next morning she got up and ran to her friend's house, where she told her friend of her dream encounter and Jesus words to her. She prayed with her friend to accept Jesus as her Lord and Savior, and was born again! Since that day the Lord has used her to be an evangelist to her family, and by the power of the Holy Spirit she has brought 10 people in her family to the Lord. God does work in mysterious ways! All through the Muslim world this is happening, Jesus is revealing Himself in dreams and visions to the people trapped in the darkness, it is a testimony to the power of prayer as Christians all over the world pray for those held in captivity in far off lands. Beloved, pray for those trapped in all false religions and cults that Jesus would set them free, free indeed! God bless you, in Christ, Jim

Kenya report pt3

Dear beloved: While in Kenya I had the opportunity to preach in a 2,500
inmate prison called Kamiti Prison. Three of us from the mission team went in, where we were met by a lady chaplain who guided us around and took care of the details for our visit. When we first arrived we were taken into the Office of the Chief of Security, where he gave us the authorization to hold two services of one and a half hours each, one on the maximum side and one on the juvenile side of the prison. Before we left his office, he asked us if we wanted to pray, so we all held hands in his office and prayed for the men and the services! No separation of church and state in Kenya!
The first service was held in a big yard with about 100 men, it was quite dirty and the facilities were quite basic. A gazebo in the middle of the yard was the stage for a band and the preaching platform. When the inmate band started to play(it consisted of 2 guitars, a keyboard, and 2 singers), about 50 inmates got out in front of us in the middle of the yard and started to dance to the Lord in a choreographed dance that went on for about 30 minutes; it was a vigorous dance that was led by an inmate who was grinning from ear to ear and loving every minute of it! I had to keep pinching myself that I was really in a prison, it looked more like a Broadway production as every dancing inmate was in perfect step and rhythm, and they were all obviously enjoying it all immensely. After I preached we had an altar call and about 20 men came up for salvation decisions and prayers for healing.
Then on the juvenile side in the afternoon we had a similar service with about 50 inmates, lots of singing and dancing and testimonies. Six young men came forward to make salvation decisions; as I went down the line praying for them, two were slain in the spirit and stayed on the ground for about 15 minutes as we prayed for others who needed healing or encouragement. It was an awesome time in the Lord.
Jesus said in Matthew 25:36 when you visit those in prison you have visited me, that those in prison are the least of these of mine. Only Jesus could give these prisoners the joy that they were exhibiting, nothing else on this earth could give these men the joy and the peace that passeth all understanding, in spite of very difficult circumstances on this earth. Paul said in Hebrews 13:3, remember those in prison as if you were in prison with them, as those in adversity are part of the body. Pray for those in Kamiti prison as if you were in prison with them. Kenya Report pt2

Dear beloved: The last night at the prison before I left for Kenya, we were in trevail praying over the Kenya trip and the souls to be brought into the Kingdom. A brother came up to me after the prayer session and told me the Lord had given him a vision of a lady in Kenya who I was praying over and casting demons out of her. In addition to that, she had a child with her that the brother in the prison was supposed to pray for, for the rest of his life. As we neared the last of our revival crusades in Nairobi, I was conscious of the brother's vision, but had yet to see a lady who met the description of the events marked in the vision.
On the last day of crusades, the Uhuru Park crusade was the final event. I was receiving people at the altar call, taking their confession of faith and then praying prayers of repentance or of healing, or just praying the Lord's blessing on them, whatever the Lord required. A lady came down to me, she looked rather wild and forlorn, the Lord said to me this is the one. From physical appearances she certainly fit the description: eyes wide in a startled look, hair unkept, and I knew she had a rough life and she had a child in her arms. I asked her if she wanted to accept Jesus as her Lord and Savior and she said in Swahili, through the pastor who was interpreting, that she did, and then I prayed with her and gently bound the demons in her and in the name of Jesus cast them out of her.(Mark 16:15 to end of chapter). After doing that we prayed together for a bit, then I asked her, "what was the name of her child?" She said,"His name is Immanuel, which means God with us!"
When she said Immanuel, I stepped back a couple of steps in amazement as the Lord spoke to me, this is the one for whom the brother in the prison is to pray, for the rest of his life. Immanuel, God with us, the name given to Jesus at the time of His birth. May God be with you, Immanuel and your mother, we are all praying for you! in Christ, Jim

Kenya Report pt1

Dear beloved: I am home from Kenya and getting adjusted back to life here in the states, although I must say it will never be quite the same again after seeing Africa and all the transforming experiences we encountered over there. A team of 20 of us, evangelists, musicians, children's ministry people, and administration and logistical people ministered for 10 days in the Nairobi area of Kenya, as well as a couple of days south of Nairobi at the Masai Mara Wildlife refuge.
God blessed me with many opportunities to preach the word and to pray for people, to receive many confessions of faith in Jesus Christ, as well as pray for healing for sick and hurting, even pastors and church leaders who were discouraged and needing a touch from the Lord. At a pastor's meeting in Kibera, the slum district of Nairobi that is home to half a million people, the Lord gave me this verse: Acts 2:22, Peter speaking, Men of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus the Nazarene, a man attested to you by God with miracles, wonders, and signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know...
And so as I prayed for these pastors in this meeting, the Lord gave me a word of knowledge that several of them were discouraged and ready to quit, that they were overwhelmed with the burden of their flock and their churches. Several came up for prayer, as they stood before me I had the heart of compassion for them and their flocks... I touched the first one and he got a mighty touch from the Lord that shook him back five feet and put him on the ground. As I went down the line and prayed, all were given a mighty touch from the Lord,strengthening and restoration. The greatest miracle of all is the healing and restoring touch of the power of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of the living God. Before the meeting was over I laid hands on all 50 of the pastors in attendence, and God did a mighty work in our midst. Give God the glory!
I have been invited back to preach a series of revival meetings by that group of pastors, the meetings will be held somewhere in Kibera, one of the worst slums in Africa, a place of immense brokenness, AIDS, drug use, alcoholism and glue sniffing, open sewage and trash heaps burning everywhere. Please pray for my return, the timing and for the provision, God has anointed me to preach deliverance to the captives, to bring the good news of the gospel to a desperately hurting world. Kenya Trip update

Dear beloved: I will not be posting too much in the next couple of weeks, I will be leaving for Denver today and flying out to Kenya, will arrive in Nairobi on Sunday evening at 7pm. Next week the 21st through the 25th we will have a crusade each day culminating with the main park event in Uhuru Park where we are expecting a crowd of 25,000 and up to attend. We also have ministry events scheduled each day we are there, in addition to the crusades, so it will be a packed schedule. Please pray for me for strength, safety and good health, and for souls, souls, souls to be brought into the kingdom. I am deeply humbled and grateful to the Lord that He would use me in this way. Dear beloved: As we prepare for the end times harvest and revival, know that the enemy of our souls will do everything in his power to trick and deceive us so that we will not walk the path that God has laid out for us. Revelation 12:9 tells us that satan is the deceiver who deceives the whole world. And again in 1 Peter 5:8, Peter warns us to be of sober spirit, be on the alert, your adversary, the devil, prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. And Paul also warns us that satan disguises himself, in 2 Corinthians 11:13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. v14 And no wonder, for even satan disguises himself as and angel of light. v15 Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their deeds. And so we must be vigilant and on guard, for satan will take over individuals, and churches, and whole nations in his attempt to subvert the kingdom of God.

Paul tells us that a hallmark of the end times will be a desire of men to have their ears tickled with false doctrines. I Timothy 4:1 But the Spirit explicity says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, v2 by means of hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron,....and then he goes on to state some of the ways in which doctrines will deceive men. We can easily see the same thing happening in the church today. Doctrines that say God blesses homosexuality, that God primary plan for us is to prosper us financially without regard to suffering for the gospel's sake, doctrines that endorse fornication outside of marriage, and so many others. People will always be looking for ways to justify their rebellion and disobedience in the sight of God, that is just the fallen nature of man and it has been that way since the beginning.

Beloved, it is more important than ever before to walk in the Spirit. Paul says in Galatians 5:16 but I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. v17 For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please. Walking in the Spirit is a daily, maybe even in some cases minute by minute walk with the Lord, where you stay in His glory by exercising three things: 1. we talk to God though prayer, 2. He talks to us though His written word and dreams and revelations, and 3. we are in the fellowship of believers to receive and give encouragement and support. Dear beloved: How can we prepare for the days ahead? You prepare by hiding yourself in the shadow of His wings! Psalm 91 is the best scripture for preparation, post it on your refrigerator door and on your office computer and anywhere you need a reminder that God is in control and you are not! Psalm 91:1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. v2 "I will say to the Lord, My refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust!" v3 For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper and from the deadly pestilence. v4 He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.

God is the deliverer, and He will deliver you from the snare of the trapper. Many will fall into the snare of the trapper, they will not realize until it is too late that they have been deceived and when the trap is set it will spring shut upon them. The deceit of the enemy in the end times will be escelated to a place of great intensity, to the point that even the elect will be deceived. Start listening for the voice of the Lord and the counsel of the Holy Spirit, it is the only voice that you can rely on. Then get some trusted prayer partners to pray and intercede with you, so you have the counsel of many to guide you through tough situations. Psalm 91:5 You will not be afraid of the terror by night, or of the arrow that flies by day v6 of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, or of the destruction that lays waste at noon. v7 A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not approach you. Beloved, terror attacks are coming to this great nation, but this psalm says that you will not be afraid, and though many may fall at your side, it will not approach you. You will have the Lord's protection!

Begin today trusting in the Lord for your every need. In the midst of chaos you will have peace, in the midst of confusion you will have clarity. That is what is means to be under His wings. May God bless you this day as you walk in the Spirit! in Christ, Jim Rowh

Dear beloved: As the end days draw near and the coming of Jesus return becomes more imminent, you will see many grow cold and fall away from the faith. Matthew 24:11 And many false prophets will arise and mislead many. v12 And because lawlessness is increased, the love of many (or most people's love) will grow cold. The devil will deceive many people, even those who confess to be Christians, and lead them astray into all kinds of deception and false doctrines. For many they will join false religions and cults such that will give them a sense of belonging and satisfy their urge to be connected to a spiritual path. For many others, especially in America and other prosperous nations, they will be led down the path of more attachment to materialism and pursuit of happiness through their hobbies and nonstop desire for entertainment and pleasure.

Amos 8:11 tells us "Behold the days are coming" declares the Lord God, "when I will send a famine on the land, not a famine for bread or a thirst for water, But rather for hearing the words of the Lord. v12 And people will stagger from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east; they will go to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, But they will not find it. v13 In that day the beautiful virgins and the young men will faint from thirst." Beloved, a day of reckoning is coming when people will be crying out for any message of hope, of restoration, of redemption, and they will not find it. Why won't they find it? First, they will not know where to look because at that point many of the churches will be closed from lack of attendance or will have been driven underground due to government persecution and separation of church and state laws that will effectively legislate the church out of its public place. And second, many of the elect will be deceived to the point the evangelists, prophets, and apostles in the land will be few and far between, they too having been hounded into seclusion or martyrdom by the ever increasing persecution. Beloved, pray that this nation will stand strong in the face of the devil's plan to destroy the kingdom foundations of this country.

You may feel like you are all alone and unable to stand by yourself in prayer and supplication for your family and nation. Elijah felt the same way and even wanted to take his own life he was so discouraged. Elijah says in 1 Kings 19:14 "I have been very zealous for the Lord, the God of hosts; for the sons of Israel have forsaken Thy covenant, torn down Thy altars and killed Thy prophets with the sword. And I alone am left; and they seek my lfe to take it away." But the Lord did not encourage Elijah's pity, in fact, he did just the opposite; He told Elijah to return to the wilderness of Damascus and then gave him three kingdom jobs to do. And then He told him in verse 18 " Yet I will leave 7,000 in Israel, all the knees that have not bowed to Baal and every mouth that has not kissed him." Beloved, take heart, you are not alone! Keep praying, keep fighting for your family, stay diligent in your faith. God hears your prayers and will deliver you from your situation. God bless you this day, in Christ, Jim

Dear beloved: How do we best prepare for the breakdown and tribulation of the coming days? Is it best for us to head for the mountains and hide ourselves and our families in a cave, or do we just blow off all preparation and trust in the Lord day by day? I believe it is important to prepare in the physical realm to the best extent that we can, but ultimately our hope and trust must be in the Lord and not in our ability to manage our surroundings and circumstances. In Matthew 24:44 Jesus says concerning the coming of the Son of Man, "Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know what day your Lord is coming." And again in Matthew 25:13 in the parable of the ten virgins, Jesus says, "Be on the alert, for you do not know the day or the hour." And back again in Matthew 24, concerning the coming birth pangs and lawlessness and tribulation, Jesus says in verse 13, "And he who endures to the end shall be saved." All of these scriptures speak of being ready spiritually more than physically, for without spiritual readiness the physical will not be of much value. If you have a bunker full of food and your body is well fed but your soul is not right with the Lord, what have you gained? Mark 8:36 "For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul? v37 For what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? v38 For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in the glory of His father with the holy angels."

So what then is the purpose for storing up and being prepared in the physical realm? Proverbs 11:24 gives us the answer to that, There is one who scatters, yet increases all the more. And there is one who withholds what is justly due, but it results only in want. v25 The generous man will be prosperous, and he who waters will himself be watered. v26 He who withholds grain, the people will curse him, but blessing will be on the head of him who sells it. v28 He who trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous will flourish like the green leaf. So it is clear from these verses and many more that we are to prepare primarily to take care of our families, and then to share with those who do not have, because in so sharing we may be a blessing to others and even lead some into the kingdom of God because of our acts of kindness. When we give to the poor and the needy if we have excess, or even if we divide what we have when we have barely enough, then we are giving to the least of these of Mine, as Jesus explained in Matthew 25:36. In giving to the least of these, those without clothing or shelter or a home, or food of water, or those sick or in prison, we are actually ministering to Jesus! So give freely and do not hold back, and you will be blessed. So to sum it up, storing up is not for hoarding and self preservation, but it is for furthering the gospel. Just remember if you have plenty, some day you may be that person who is in need. How would you want someone to treat you? God bless you this day as you walk with the Lord. In Christ, Jim

Kenya Mission Trip

Dear beloved: I will be going to Kenya Sept. 18-Oct1, with a group of worship leaders and evangelists from Vancouver, Washington, and Doug McCary of Men at the Cross ministry. We will be preaching and holding revival meetings all over the Nairobi area, culminating in a two day event at a city park in Nairobi where a crowd of 25,000 and up is expected. We will also be holding pastor training sessions, and visit orphanages associated with some Kenya ministries. I will also be meeting with another group of Pastors/elders from western Kenya who want me to come to minister to them next year.

Word of Knowledge Healing

Dear beloved: A couple weeks ago in a prison service the Holy Spirit came with great power and signs and wonders, and it was a healing service of great force. As men were praying for each other after the praise and worship service, the Lord gave me a word of knowledge that someone in the room had scoliosis. Word of knowledge is one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit Paul talks about in 1 Corinthians 12:8, For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit. A word of knowledge is a word given about a person or situation that would not be known otherwise if it were not for the supernatural leading and prompting of the Holy Spirit. Jesus said in John 16:13, "but when He, the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. v14 He shall glorify Me; for He shall take of Mine, and shall disclose it to you.

And so I called out to the group that the Holy Spirit had told me someone had scoliosis, and sure enough, one man out of about 40 raised his hand and said that he did indeed have scoliosis. So I asked him to come down, which he did, and we laid hands on him and prayed for him to be healed. When the Lord gives a word of knowledge about a sickness or disease condition, He intends to give a healing for the purpose of bringing glory to Him. Jesus said, "He shall glorify Me,.." and so the purpose of the word of knowledge in a healing service is to give a healing for the glory, the greater purposes of God.

After the service was over, the brother with scoliosis told me that he had been walking around the sidewalk that very day praying that God would have someone come to the service that night who would pray for his back, because he was in a great pain and had suffered with it for a long time. So the Holy Spirit knew his need and relayed that to me. Listen for the leading of the Holy Spirit in your life, many times He will give a word of knowledge to lead you in the direction you should pray for someone. The brother was very curious to know how I knew he had scoliosis, and was quite surprised to learn it was just the prompting of the Holy Spirit. Followup: We have prayed for him now two successive weeks after the original prayer session, and each time he says he feels better, less pain, and has more flexibility. I believe God wants to heal him 100%, would you pray with me in agreement that God would set him free of scoliosis, so he can be a testimony in the prison to the healing power of God? Thank you for your prayers. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 14:1 Pursue love, yet earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. Dear beloved: The breakdown that is coming for us here in America and around the world will be a confluence of storms from several different directions. This has been prophesied by many of the Lord's prophets and the clock is ticking on the events to begin to unfold in rapid succession. I spoke in previous teachings about the birth pangs getting closer together, and the intensity of them increasing. The day of that happening is here. Floods, tornados, hurricanes, wild fires, earthquakes, and now the Gulf oil spill have all been front and center in the news and these types of events will become the "new normal". Are you prepared spiritually for the shock waves to come? Psalm 91 tells that in verse 1, He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High, Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. v2, I will say to the Lord," My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!" When we place our trust in the Lord, we know that we will not be deceived for in God alone is our refuge.

Psalm 91:3 For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper, And from the deadly pestilence. v4 He will cover you with His pinions, And under His wings you make seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark. The signs all point to the direction of God's judgment and wrath being poured out upon America. The blood of the innocents continues to cry out from the ground, the destruction of the pillar of marriage between one man and one woman goes on unabated, and our push to divide Israel and Jerusalem is becoming increasingly strident. Can you discern the times and see for yourself what is happening? Jesus said in Matthew 16:1 And the Pharisees and Sadducees came up, and testing Him asked Him to show them a sign from heaven. v3 "And in the morning, There will be a storm today, for the sky is red and threatening. Do you know how to discern the appearence of the sky , but cannot discern the signs of the times? v4 "An evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign; and a sign will not be given it, except the sign of Jonah." And He left them and went away. Beloved, do you remember what was happening in the times of Jonah? Jonah was sent to preach and cry out to an exceedingly wicked city, Nineveh. His cry was this: "Yet forty days and Nineveh will be overthrown". If Jonah were to show up today in your town or city what do you think his cry would be? Do you think the people in your town would take him seriously and repent in sackcloth and ashes? Would you if you need to?

Beloved it is time to take seriously the warnings God has been giving His people. It is to our benefit that He has warned us of the trials and tribulations to come. Get on your knees today and repent of anything you need to take care of in your life, don't wait for Jonah to show up. Do not wait until it is too late, and then Jesus will have to turn and go away. Seek Him while He may be found, today is the day of salvation, this year is the favorable year of the Lord. God bless you this day as you seek Him, in Christ, Jim

Dear beloved: There will be situations in the days ahead when medicine and the ususual medical services will not be available in the way we have been accustomed to having them. Are you prepared to deal with life without your medications and services from your doctor? You may have to go for periods of time and put your trust in the Lord instead of medicines. Will you be able to do that? As you think about preparation for breakdown of normal supply lines of food and medicine, start to imagine what it would be like without them.

The gifts of the Holy Spirit were given to empower the church, to equip the saints for the work of the service in serving not only the body of Christ, but also serving those who don't know Christ but need help and aid in times of tribulation. Matthew 9:35 tells us, And Jesus was going about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness. As near as I can tell that means every kind, including mental illness, cancers, tumors, crippling arthritis, high blood pressure, and everything imaginable that people take medicine for. Can you trust your illness to Jesus and the power He has given us as believers to heal not only ourselves but others as well? Matthew 10:6-8,Jesus said to the disciples, "Go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel, v7"And as you go preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand, v8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons, freely you received, freely give." So He also gave the disciples authority to heal the sick with the same power that He did it. And again in Mark 16:18, when Jesus is commissioning the disciples before He ascended to heaven to be with the Father, He told the disciples that a hallmark of believers will be they will lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Start practicing today to get along without medicines for all your ailments. Start trusting in the healing power of Jesus blood and the power of the resurrection. Start laying hands on the sick in your family, and on yourself, and binding those foul spirits of disease and infirmity to go in the name of Jesus. Jesus himself said the sick will recover. Do not fear failure, it is not your power and therefore you are not risking anything. Just ask in Jesus name and trust His word that what He says He will be faithful to watch over, and perform it in you and your loved ones. Then if a breakdown in supply of medicine comes you will be prepared. I am not a Christian Scientist nor am I anti-doctor, God can use both doctors and medicines. What I am doing is asking you to stretch your faith so if you can't get your normal medicines you will not be devastated or suffer any setback. Just trust the Lord and He will bring it to pass. Dear beloved: My spirit is bearing witness that we are in the calm before the storm, that a great shaking is about to begin in this country. This will be a time of great testing for even the strongest in the body of Christ, and for those outside the body it will be a sifting of unimaginable intensity. Where do you stand today, are your feet planted firmly upon the rock of Jesus Christ? Jesus said in Matthew 24:5 For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ', and will mislead many. v6 And you will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. v7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. v8 But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs. v9 Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations on account of My name. v10 And at that time many will fall away and will deliver up one another and hate one another.

Beloved, prepare yourself for the birth pangs are going to start to get more intense, closer together. And as they do, many will be mislead and follow false Christs, and many will fall into addictions of various kinds to soothe their pain, and many will take their own life and sometimes the lives of those around them. The enemy will mislead many down roads of destruction.

Jesus said in Matthew 7:24, "Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts upon them, may be compared to a wise man, who built his house upon the rock. v25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and burst against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded upon the rock. v26 And everyone who hears these words of Mine, and does not act upon them, will be like a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand. v27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and burst against that house; and it fell, and great was its fall. So which is it beloved, are you going to act upon his words? Are you going to build your house upon the rock or upon the sand? Every day that is the choice we all have to make, the rock or the sand. Prepare yourself this day, act upon the words of Jesus that you have heard, get your house upon the rock. You will be glad you did! God bless you this day as you act upon His words. Prayer and fasting pt12

Dear beloved: In the ninth chapter of Nehemiah the sons of Israel again came together to pray and fast for God to intervene in the situation they were in. Neh.9:1 Now on the twenty-fourth day of this month the sons of Israel assembled with fasting, in sackcloth, and with dirt upon them. v2 And the descendants of Israel separated themselves from all foreigners, and stood and confessed their sins and the iniquities of their fathers. v3 While they stood in their place, they read from the book of the law and the Lord their God for a fourth of the day; and for another fourth they confessed and worshiped the Lord their God. So you can see they earnestly sought the Lord with all their heart, and for hours they read from God's word and worshiped Him, all the while fasting and praying for releif. What was the situation that had brought so much grief and oppression into their lives? In verse 36 they summarize their situation; Behold, we are slaves today, And as to the land which Thou didst give to our fathers to eat of its fruit and its bounty, Behold, we are slaves on it. v37 And its abundant produce is for the kings Whom thou has set over us because of our sins; They also rule over our bodies And over our cattle as they please, So we are in great distress.

Beloved, we are in the same situation here in our land of America. We are slowly but surely being enslaved by the enemy by our own sin; we are losing the bounty of our land and the stage is set for our bodies also to be given over to captivity. Ezekiel 7:19 They shall fling their silver into the streets, and their gold shall become an abhorrent thing; their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the Lord. They cannot satisfy their appetite, nor can they fill their stomachs, for their iniquity has become an occasion for stumbling. v21 And I shall give it (the beauty of His ornaments) into the hands of foreigners as plunder and to the wicked of the earth as spoil, and they will profane it. v22 And I shall turn My face from them, and they will profane My secret place; then robbers will enter and profane it. And so we see that just as in the day when Ezekiel cried out to the children of Israel to amend their ways, so too we here in America need to amend our ways. The robbers are ready to enter, and they will not show any mercy, in fact, we are handing our treasures and our abundance over to them without a fight.

Verse 27 in Ezekiel 7 gives the summary of all that the Lord will do to allow the enemy to come into the land. v27 "The king will mourn, the prince will be clothed with horror, and the hands of the people of the land will tremble. According to their conduct I shall deal with them, and by their judgments I shall judge them. And they will know that I am the Lord." Beloved, let us cry out to the Lord. As we repair the breach, and build up the age old foundations, let us fast and mourn and cry out for mercy. Maybe the Lord will relent and turn away the calamity He has in mind for us. It is the least we can do for our children and grandchildren.

Dear beloved: Nehemiah and his friends completed the wall on the twenty-fifth of the month Elul, in fifty-two days.(Neh.6:15) v16 And it came about when all of our enemies heard of it, and all the nations surrounding us saw it, they lost their confidence; for they recognized that this work had been accomplished with the help of our God. Beloved, when you do a mighty work for the Lord it will demoralize the enemy in your life. 1 John 4:4 tells us, You are from God little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He that is in you that he who is in the world. And so we have the confidence that when we are building for the kingdom God will give us the tools, the resources, the provision, and the strength to accomplish the task He has given us, and the enemy in our life will lose his confidence! That's good news for us in this day when we feel beat up and all alone in the face of our enemy.

It is this confidence we have in the Lord that gives us the strength to move forward in the kingdom pursuits even though in the flesh we know we are not adequate for the task. But when you listen to the Holy Spirit and then are obedient to the call, God will provide even the smallest of your needs. In Luke 16:10 Jesus says, "He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much; and he who is unrighteous in a very little thing is unrighteous also in much." and v11 "If therefore you have not been faithful in the use of unrighteous mammon, who will entrust the true riches to you?" And again in Luke 19:16, in the parable Jesus spoke of the minas, And the first appeared, saying, "Master, your mina has made ten more." v17 and the master said to him, "Well done, good slave, because you have been faithful in a very little thing, be in authority over ten cities." And the master gave a reward of five cities to the next slave who returned five minas for his work, but to the slave who put away his mina in a handkerchief, the master took the mina away from him and gave it to the one who already had ten minas. The master then explains himself in this way, v26, I tell you, that to everyone who has shall more be given, but from the one who does not have, even what he does have shall be taken away. And so God is saying to us to put to work for the kingdom that which we have been given, and if we are faithful in using that, then He will give us more. We need not shrink back in fear thinking that He will not provide or that we are not adequate for the task; God does not call the equipped, He equips the called!

The events following the rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem prove that the rebuilding was just the start of a mighty work that the Lord wanted to do in that day. After the walls were built, the gates were made and hung, the Ezra the priest brought out the book of the Law (Chapter8) and read it before the people, and the feasts of the book were put into practice; the people lived in booths during the feast of the seventh month (tabernacles). And so what started out as an idea placed into Nehemiah's heart by the Holy Spirit of God led eventually to rebuilding and restoration of the kindom in Jerusalem, to repopulating and cleansing of the house and people of Israel. Beloved, what small thing is God calling you to do today? No matter how small or insignificant you think it may be, go ahead and step out it faith and act upon it. God will add to it and multiply it, your enemies will lose confidence, and you will be rewarded for your faithfulness. Faith without works is dead, James tells us in James 2:17, so put your faith to work today, and watch God go to work in your life. Dear beloved: When you are building up broken walls for the kingdom you will inevitably encounter the mocker spirit. Nehemiah encountered this evil spirit when he declared his intention to rebuild the wall in Nehemiah 2:17, Then I said to them, "You see the bad situation we are in, that Jerusalem is desolate and its gates burned by fire. Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem that we may no longer be a reproach." Then in verse 19, But when Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the Ammonite official, and Beshem the Arab heard it, they mocked and despised us and said, "What is this thing you are doing? Are you rebelling against the king?" And again in Neh.4:2 Sanballat says, "What are these feeble Jews doing? Are they going to restore it for themselves? Can they offer sacrifices? Can they finish in a day? Can they revive the stones from the dusty rubble, even the burned ones?

The mocker spirit is a demonic spirit that derides and makes fun of all that the kingdom builders are trying to do. It can be present in unbelievers and even shows up in believers who are well established in positions of the church. It is a spirit that makes fun of attempts to do anything new, anything outside the box, anything that tries to restore and take back groung the enemy has stolen. As the day of Christ's return draws near, the mockers will become more prevalant and vocal. They will boldly mock all things of God, preaching, praying, fasting, and anything else that appears to be kingdom building. Peter says in 2Peter 3:3 Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, v4 and saying, "where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation."
And so they are mocking also the promised return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

While in Costa Rica a few years ago I preached several nights at the Cabecar indigenous people's reservation. A young teenage boy came to the service every night with his parents, but he sat on the back row and with his friends made fun of much of what was going on in the meeting. The last night I had all the teens come forward for prayer, and he came with them. I took that opportunity to lay hands on him and pray for God to remove that mocker spirit; the power of the Holy Spirit came down on him and knocked him down to the cement floor, where he stayed for several minutes. The next year when I went back to the reservation he was at all the meetings but did not have the mocker spirit, in its place was a humble spirit the Holy Spirit of God had placed in Him. Jesus said in John 15:18, "If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you." So be prepared to be mocked and hated, its a sign the devil does not like what you are doing! Dream of Explosions

Dear Beloved: This dream was given to me by the Lord in 2003, though I did not record it in my dream journal, it is still vivid in my memory. It occurred after the terrorist attack of 9-11 but it was not a replay of any of the images of that day. I have not posted this dream prior to today but I was reminded of it by a posting from another prophetic ministry that confirmed for me the importance of the dream, and brought to my attention to continue to pray for our nation and against the enemies who would desire to destroy us.

In the dream, I am standing on the shore of a coastal city, looking across the bay at the skyline of the city. I cannot identify the city because I am not familiar with it; however, had I been familiar with it, I would have been able to identify it, because the skyline and buildings were in very sharp focus and easily identifiable. Suddenly, two or three very large explosions erupted, one after another, and huge clouds of smoke and fire billowed up into the air above the city. These were huge explosions, obviously caused by very powerful bombs. As the clouds billowed up into the air, I could only think about the devastation and loss of life that would follow as a result. This dream may have a correlation to dreams posted on this blog relating to San Francisco and New York City.

Psalm 18:1-3 "I love Thee O Lord, my strength." v2 The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer. My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. v3 I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies. Dear beloved: Nehemiah 4:16-18 gives us a great picture of how we are to carry on our kingdom work in the face of enemy harrassment and persecution. Neh4:16 And it came about from that day on, that half of my servants carried on the work while half of them held the spears, the shields, the bows, the breastplates; and the captains were behind the whole house of Judah. v17 Those who were rebuilding the wall and those who were carrying the burdens took their load with one hand doing the work and one hand holding a weapon. v18 As for the builders, each wore his sword girded at his side as he built, while the trumpeter stood near me. And in verse 20 Nehemiah says "At whatever place you hear the sound of the trumpet, rally to us there, Our God will fight for us."
As we go about our kingdom building jobs we must keep the gospel armor strapped on, keep one hand free to lay the bricks while at the same time keep the sword of the spirit in our other hand to slay the enemy if he should come near. Ephesians 6:10 tells us, Finally be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. v11 put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. v12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. v13 Therefore take up the full armor of God, That you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. And of course we know that the sword is the sword of the spirit, the word of God as it tells us in Ephesians 6:17, and we know also that the sword, the word of God, is quick and powerful, sharper than any two edged sword, able to divide asunder the soul and the spirit, the bones and the marrow, even to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)
Beloved, if we are going to impact our communities and this nation and turn back the onslaught of the evil schemes, then we must take our place on the wall and not shrink back with fear. God is calling each of us to get in the battle, to stand firm. We can win back what the devil has taken from us and from our families. Nehemiah 4:23 So neither I, my brothers, my servants, nor the men of the guard who followed me, none of us removed our clothes, each took his weapon even to the water. Dream of Tornado

Dear beloved: This week I finished a three day fast of water only, praying for the nation, the elections, and my family. At the end of the fast the Lord gave me a dream about a tornado. In the dream I am at the house of a person here in town who is affiliated with a bank. On the southwest edge of town a big dark cloud started to form, and out of the cloud a twister kept dropping down and wanted to touch the ground. I watched it form and began to think, I must get word out to the people of the town to let them know the tornado is coming. I was desperate to let them know, and kept looking for my cell phone to call the radio station, but I could not find it. I kept looking for it as the tornado formed and grew bigger and closer. Finally, I thought I'll just run to the radio station and tell them that it is coming. I really had a burden to get the word out. Then I woke up and the dream was over.
Beloved, a storm is coming, I believe it has to do with financial situations, possibly rampant inflation and breakdown. Just in the past 2 weeks wheat and other commodity prices have jumped dramatically, so food prices will again be on the rise. Matthew 8:26 And He said to them, "Why are you timid, you men of little faith?" And He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and it became perfectly calm. v27 And the men marveled saying, "What kind of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?" Dear beloved: You will be tempted during your times of prayer and fasting, not only to quit the fast but also to abandon or be distracted from the kingdom building you are doing. When Jesus fasted and prayed in the wilderness, he was tempted by the devil three different times. Had he not kept his resolve to walk in obedience to his Father, the outcome for all mankind would have been much different, and yet because he was obedient to the Father in every way, the Father knew Jesus would withstand the temptation. The devil came at Him with everything that he had to tempt Him: the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and the pride of life (1John 2:16) Each time Jesus was tempted He referred to the Word of God to defeat the devil. Matt. 4:4 but He answered and said, "it is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God." Therein lies the secret to staying on the fast and keeping your resolve. Stay in the Word, stay on your knees, stay in fellowship, stay in communion with the Holy Spirit.

Nehemiah faced the same test of distactions in Nehemiah 6:2 then Sanballat and Geshem sent a message to me saying, "Come, let us meet together at Chephirim in the plain of Ono," But they were planning to harm me. v3 So I sent messengers to them saying, "I am doing a great work and I cannot come down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and come down to you?"
v4 And they sent messengers to me four times in this manner, and I answered them in the same way. Beloved, the devil is persistent and does not give up easily, he will continue to attack and badger and pester you until you give in. But Nehemiah knew that the Lord was with him and so kept his focus on the task. In fact, he told the messengers that he was doing a great work for the Lord. Are you doing a great work for the Lord, maybe if you are not that might explain the lack of resolve and commitment. When you start to walk in the center of God's will, your purpose for being and for building will be much more evident to you and you will more likely finish the task.

I just finished a 3 day water fast yesterday; I was interceding for my family as well as the nation, the election, and the country. It was a battle as of course the devil did not want me to succeed. The first two days I really had to battle to stay with it and stay focused, then the third day I had a breakthrough and felt really good, like the Lord had lifted something off of me. Isaiah 58:8 Then your light will break out like the dawn, and your recovery will speedily spring forth; and your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard. We are at a critical junction in the destiny of this nation and the devil knows it, that is why he is coming against God's people with such intensity at this time. The future of this nation and our children's opportunites for religious and financial freedom are at stake. Beloved, stay focused and don't get distracted, keep praying and keep building. Dear beloved: As the wall building commenced in the third chapter of Nehemiah, the anger of the mockers also intensified, the spiritual warfare reached a higher level. Nehemiah 4:1 Now it came about when Sanballat heard that we were building the wall, he became furious and very angry and mocked the Jews. And again in verse 7 it tells us, Now it came about when Sanballat, Tobiah, the Arabs, the Ammonites, the Ashdodites heard that the repair of the walls of Jerusalem went on, and that the breaches began to be closed, they were very angry. Nehemiah's response was to cry out to the Lord. Neh.4:4 Hear O our God, how we are despised! Return their reproach on their heads and give them up for plunder in a land of captivity. v5. Do not forgive their iniquity and let not their sin be blotted out before Thee, for they have demoralized the builders. And again in verse 9, Nehemiah cries out to the Lord. v9, But we prayed to our God, and because of them we set up a guard against them day and night. v10 Thus in Judah it was said, The strength of the burden bearers is failing, Yet there is much rubbish; and we ourselves are unable to rebuild the wall.

Beloved, what you see happening as Nehemiah attempts to rebuild is exactly what is happening all across the land. The builders are running out of strength, the morale is low, and the enemy is getting the upper hand in every aspect of wall building, from government, family, business, arts and entertainment, and every aspect of our culture, including in our churches. The battle is raging, the enemy is coming at us from every direction and at first glance it is easy to get demoralized and think it is a sure victory for the enemy. But take heart, cry out to the Lord just as Nehemiah did, and let our God fight the battle for us. Spend more time in prayer and fasting, for therein lies the victory. Psalm 68:19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, The God who is our salvation. v20 God is to us a God of deliverances; And to God the Lord belong escapes from death. v21 Surely God will shatter the head of his enemies, the hairy crown of him who goes on in his guilty deeds.

Beloved, do not get demoralized and give up the fight or stop building, stay in the fight and spend more time on your knees in prayer. For it is in prayer that the battle is won, it is in prayer that we petition the Lord to send his ministering angels to war on our behalf. Dear beloved: Nehemiah found favor with the Lord and with the king because he had cleansed his spirit, soul, and body before the Lord during his prayer and fasting time in Nehemiah chapter 1:4. The Lord is anxious to hear your prayer, beloved, if you are walking upright before Him. He tells us over and over in the scripture that He hears the prayers of the righteous. Proverbs 15:8 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, but the prayer of the upright is His delight. And again in Proverbs 15:29 The Lord is far from the wicked, but He hears the prayer of the righteous. And so God is waiting and anxious to see His kingdom move forward on this earth, and He is pleased with us when we ask to activate His angelic army to bring about His kingdom here on the earth.

And so Nehemiah arrived in Jerusalem with the officers of the army and horsemen, and when he arrived he was not exactly given a hero's welcome. Neh. 1:10 And when Sanballat the Horonite and Tobiah the Ammonite official heard about it, it was very displeasing to them that someone had come to seek the welfare of the sons of Israel. Beloved, you can be assured that when you set about to do kingdom building that the devil will not be pleased and will rise up against your work. The devil always wants to raise up his throne above the throne of God, he always wants to subvert, divide, and eventually destroy anyone who comes to look after the sons of Israel. The devil had a problem submitting to the will of God from the beginning. Isaiah 14:13 But you said in your heart, I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, and I will sit on the mount of assembly in the recesses of the north. v14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will make myself like the Most High.
Expect opposition when you set about to rebuild kingdom walls in your life, or even in praying for your family, your church, commmunity, or nation. The devil has a plan and it is to continue to tear the walls down, and he will do everything in his power to see that his plan succeeds.

Nehemiah did not share his vision with anyone, he kept it to himself and went out in the night and surveyed the situation without arousing a lot of discussion. Neh.2:12 So I went out at night, I and a few men with me. I did not tell anyone what my God was putting in my mind to do for Jerusalem and there was no animal with me except the animal on which I was riding. So he looked at the situation, which to his eyes it must have seemed to be a daunting task, but he knew that his God was with him. So he said in verse 18 And I told them how the hand of my God had been favorable to me, and also about the king's words which he had spoken to me. Then they said, "Let us arise and build." So they put their hands to the good work. And again in verse 20 he speaks to Sanballat and Tobiah and Geshem, the mockers and despisers, "the God of heaven will give us success; therefore we his servants will arise and build, but you(mockers) have no portion, right, or memorial in Jerusalem.

Beloved, have faith to build even in the face of mockers and despisers, even when the task looks formidable. If it is too big for you then it must be of God. 2 Corinthians 5:7 for we walk by faith and not by sight. Believe that God is big enough to provide everything you need, and to give you the courage to do the job. Take up the cry of Nehemiah, let us arise and build! Dear beloved: When Nehemiah fasted and prayed to the Lord in Chapter 1:11, he prayed for success in his mission to bring his petition before the king,.. and make Thy servant successful today, and grant him compassion before this man. Four months later in the month Nisan, his prayer was answered as God opened up the heart of the king to hear the petition of Nehemiah. Neh 2:4 Then the king said to me, "What would you request?" So I prayed to the God of heaven. v5 And I said to the king, "If it please the king, and if your servant has found favor before you, send me to Judah, to the city of my father's tombs, that I may rebuild it."

Isn't it amazing that when we are preparing to do God's kingdom work that He has already prepared the way before us? Proverbs 16:7 When a man's ways are pleasing to the Lord, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. Psalms 37:23 The steps of a man are established by the Lord, and He delights in his way. And isn't it also amazing how God can use anyone and anything to further His kindom plan, even including pagans and non believers? Proverbs 21:1 The king's heart is like channels of water in the hand of the Lord; He turns it wherever He wishes. And so God prepared the heart of King Artaxerxes to not only hear Nehemiah's petiton, but also to provide everything that he asked for: time off to go back to Jerusalem to rebuild the walls, letters to provide safe passage through enemy territory to get there, and also letters to secure timber to make the beams for the gates of the wall.

Beloved, do not shrink back in fear when you need something from the Lord to do your kingdom building. Step out in faith, ask and go into detail with the Lord what it is you need, and believe that you will receive it. Hebrews 11:6 tells us, that without faith it is impossible to please God, for those who come to Him must know(believe)that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. And in Mark 11:22-23 And Jesus answered them saying, " Have faith in God. v23 Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, Be taken up and cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes what he says is going to happen, it shall be granted him. v24 Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they shall be granted you. And so beloved, speak to the mountains in your life, to the broken walls and burned out gates, ask in faith and go boldly before the Lord, and do not doubt in your heart that God will provide it if it is truly kingdom work. Pray beleiving that you have already received. As you can see in Nehemiah's case, he was diligent and faithful, and his prayers were answered four months after he first began to petition the Lord regarding the walls, and God provided for him every request in every detail. Now that's a faithbuilder! Step out today and ask for the mountains to be moved in your life and believe that you have already received them, then stand back and watch the Lord move! He will do it. Dear beloved: When Nehemiah heard that the walls of Jerusalem were down, he mourned, wept, prayed, and fasted. He prayed to God to show mercy on him and on the sons of Israel, for he knew that without God's mercy there would be no redemption and no restoration of the walls. Nehemiah 1:5-7 And I said,"I beseech Thee, O Lord God of Heaven, the great and awesome God, who preserves the covenant and lovingkindness for those who love Him and keep His commandments. v6 Let Thine ear now be attentive and Thine eyes be open to hear the prayer of Thy servant which I am prying before Thee now, day and night, on behalf of the sons of Israel Thy servants, confessing the sins of the sons of Israel which we have sinned against Thee, I and my father's house have sinned. v7 We have acted corruptly against Thee and hve not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the ordinances which Thou didst command Thy servant Moses. v11 O Lord, I beseech Thee, may Thine ear be attentive to the prayer of Thy servant and the prayer of Thy servants who delight to revere Thy name, and make Thy servant successful today, and grant him compassion before this man."

So Nehemiah positioned himself before the Lord, showing complete dependence on God's mercy and grace. If we are to have restoration of the walls that are down in our families we must do the same; we must humble ourselves before the Lord, confess our sins and the iniquities of our fathers, and plead for God to hear our prayers and show us lovingkindness. For who can restore but God alone, who is our refuge and our strenth but God alone, and who is our rock but God alone? Psalm 18:1-3 I love Thee Oh Lord, my strength. v2 The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer. My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. v3 I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies. Psalm 18:30-32 As for God, His way is blameless; The word of the Lord is tried; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him. v31 For who is God but the Lord? And who is a rock except our God, v32 The God who girds me with strength, and makes my way blameless?

Beloved, we need massive intercession for our families, our churches, our nation. But our deliverance can only come from one source, the God who created us. We must turn to Him in complete submission and dependence, and acknowledge Him as our only hope, He will then give us the strength to engage in the battle. The battle is much to big for our human strength, but with the Lord on our side we will be victorious. When David prepared to take on Goliath he spoke to the giant that his confidence was in the Lord, 1 Samuel 17:45 Then David said to the Phillistine, "You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have taunted. v47, and that all the assembly may know that the Lord does not deliver by sword or by spear; for the battle is the Lord's and He will deliver you into our hands." Beloved, as we go into battle today, as we pray for our families and nation today, let this be our battle cry, the battle belongs to the Lord! Dear beloved: As we think about praying and fasting for our families and our nation, let us consider the situation of Nehemiah when he heard the news of the condition of Jerusalem from his position as the king's cupbearer in Susa. Nehemiah 1:3 And they (Hanani) said to me, "The remnant there in the province who survived the captivity are in great distress and reproach, and the wall of Jerusalem is broken down and its gates are burned with fire. v4 Now it came about when I heard these words, I sat down and wept and mourned for days; and I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven.

The burden of the breakdown of the walls of Jerusalem caused the spirit inside of Nehemiah to weep and mourn, and eventually to fast and pray. He was exceedingly grieved and moved to do the only thing he could do from so far away; fast and pray. Beloved, when was the last time you were genuinely greived over the situation of the breakdown of your family and the moral decay of this nation? Many times we are far from our children, far from our elected leaders, far from even our church leaders and don't feel like we can effect any change in the direction any of them are going, let alone change the direction we ourselves are going. What are we to do? There is only one thing we can do initially, and that is fast and pray. Isaiah 58:6 Is this not the fast that I choose, to loosen the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, and let the oppressed go free, And break every yoke? v7 Is it not to divide your bread with the hungry, and bring the homeless poor into the house; When you see the naked, to cover him; And not to hide yourself from your ownn flesh? v8 Then your light will break out like the dawn, and your recovery will speedily spring forth, and your righteousness will go before you; The glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.

Nehemiah fasted because the walls were down. The walls are down in our nation and families also, the enemy, the devil, is prowling around our families seeking whom he may devour. On the national scale the enemies of our nation are plotting death and destruction, they smell blood and are circling close for the kill. Terror cells inhabit every major city, even worse our economy is weak and our moral character even weaker. Beloved, cy out for this nation with prayer and fasting, let us together move the hand of God, let us together begin to rebuild the walls that are broken down. Isaiah 58:12 And those from among you will rebuild the ancient ruins; You will raise up the age old foundations; And you will be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of the streets in which to dwell. Together we can rebuild the walls, one brick at a time, we can take back the streets, the neighborhoods, the nation, our familes. You may think you are alone, but the Lord told Elijah when he felt he was up against the wall all by himself, 1 Kings 19:18, Yet I will leave 7.000 in Israel, all the knees that have not bowed to Baal and every mouth that has not kissed him. So too, we are not alone, there is a remnant that cares, that has not bowed their knees to Baal. Beloved, prepare to take you place along the wall and begin to repair the breach. Dear beloved: In Esther 4:16 Queen Esther issued an order to Mordecai to have all the Jews of Susa pray and fast for her. v16 "Go, assemble all the Jews who are found in Susa, and pray for me; do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my maidens also will fast in the same way. And thus I will go in to the king, which is not according to the law, and if I perish, I perish." Esther was motivated by an urgency that moved her to act boldly and decisively to risk her own life in exchange for the life of her people.

The Holy Spirit will burden you with a desire to fast, and it will be a burden for others, for your family or nation, for the salvation of the lost, or for your own deliverance. Answer the call when it comes, for with it comes great blessings and victory. Jesus talked about fasting in Matthew 9:14, Then the disciples of John came to Him, saying, "Why do we and the Pharisees fast, but Your disciples do not fast?" v15 And Jesus said to them, "The attendants of the bridegroom cannot mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them, can they? But the days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast." The Bridegroom is gone away now, and so it is our opportunity to seek the Bridegroom through fasting.

Isaiah 58:8 says this about the victory in fasting, v8 Then your light will break out like the dawn, And your recovery will speedily spring forth; And your righteousness will go before you; The glory of the Lord will be your rear guard. v9 Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; YOu will cry, and He will say, "Here I am."

Several years ago I did a three day Esther fast, crying out for the deliverance of my children and grandchildren. At the end of the three days the Lord gave me an awesome dream. In the dream I was kneeling beside a mountain stream up in the Rocky Mountains, dipping from the stream with a large dipper. I had my head tilted back and was pouring the water down my throat, enjoying the cold refeshing all the way down into every cell of my body. The Lord was showing me through the fast that He would be my everlasting stream, a river of living water welling up into eternal life. (John 4:14) He was showing me that if I put my faith and hope in Him I would never thirst again. Isaiah 58:11 And the Lord will continually guide you, And satisfy your desire in scorched places, and give strength to your bones; And you will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters never fail. Beloved, seek the Lord this day through prayer and fasting, become the everlasting spring that He promises you can be. God bless you this day as you seek the source of all waters, in Christ, Jim

Dear beloved: The Lord is burdening my heart to call out to the nation to pray and fast, to intercede for the welfare and destiny of this nation, for our children, grandchildren, lost relatives and friends. Two weeks ago the Lord had me to preach in the prison a message from the fourth chapter of Ester, where Mordecai challenges Queen Esther to move on behalf of her people, the Jews of Susa, who were being threatened by an edict issued by the King and Haman, his minister of internal affairs. The edict that went out was described in Esther 3:13 And letters were sent out by couriers to all the king's provinces to destroy, to kill, to annihilate all the Jews, both young and old, women and children, in one day, the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month Adar, and to seize their posessions as plunder. v14 A copy of the edict to be issued as law in every province was published to all the people so that they should be ready for this day.
In chapter 4:13 Mordecai replies to Esther, "Do not imagine that you in the king's palace can escape any more than all the Jews, v14 for if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place and you and your father's house will perish. And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?" v15 Then Esther told them to reply to Mordecai, v16 " Go, assemble all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me; do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I amd my maidens will fast in the same way. And thus I will go in to the king, which is not according to the law; and if I perish, I perish.
We know from reading on in the book of Esther that the king heard her petition, intervened on behalf of her people, and that the tables were turned on Hamsn to the extent that the gallows that Haman had prepared for the hanging of Mordecai, the King ordered Haman to be hung on those very same gallows.
Beloved, we need to intercede for this nation, for our communities, our families, our churches, and ourselves. The edict has gone out from Satan to eradicate God's children and God's commandments from this land. Satan is scoring great victories in all facets of life here in America. Will you stand up and be counted to help reverse the edict to annihilate God's people? Will you stand up for the innocents whose blood continues to be shed by the thousands day after day? Will you stand up for God's plan for marriage between one man and one woman? Will you stand up and defend Israel, God's chosen people? For the sake of your children and grandchildren, fast and pray for America. If you choose not to, God will find another way to deliver his people, but you and your household may perish. Dear beloved: Another example of a person who was walking with the Lord but was harassed by the devil was Peter, the disciple of Jesus. In Luke 22:31, Jesus said to Peter, "Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded to sift you like wheat; v32 but I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail; and you, once you have turned again, strengthen your brothers." So we see that Jesus told Simon that Satan had come to Jesus and asked permission to attack him. That is the same situation as we found Job in yesterday's teaching, where Satan had come before the Lord and God gave him permission to attack Job. To be sifted like wheat means that the chaff was going to be separated from the heavy grain, it meant to Peter that he was going to undergo a trial and a testing. In Matthew 3:11 John the Baptist describes the coming ministry of Jesus, "As for me, I baptize you with water for repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. v12 And His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clear His threshing floor; and He will gather His wheat into the barn, but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire." Jesus then prophesied to Peter when He said to Him in verse 32, "when once you have turned again, strengthen you brothers." Jesus knew that Peter was going to fall, that when the cock crowed that Peter would in fact deny Him, and so He prayed for his faith to not fail.

Another situation where Peter was harassed was in Matthew 16:22 And Peter took Jesus aside and he began to rebuke Him, saying, "God forbid it Lord, that this should ever happen to You." v23 But He turned and said to Peter,"Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me; for you are not setting your mind on God's interests but on man's." So Jesus called out Satan who was harassing Peter and told him to get behind him. Peter wasn't demon possessed or anything close to that, his thinking was just being influenced by the devil and Jesus corrected him on it. Jesus was quite able to see into the spirit realm and identify demons and many times people who are walking closely with the Lord can also see into the spirit realm and identify demons. I once had a friend who was an evangelist and he could at times easily see demons on people or around certain business or entertainment places such as bars or casinos.

The writer of Hebrews tells us in Heb. 4:15 For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. v16 Let us therefore draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace to help in time of need. This is a comforting word when we are harassed by the devil, that we know that Jesus was tempted in the same way as we are, but He did not give in. So we know that if we are a new creation in Christ Jesus, that the old has passed away, that we need not give in either, that we have victory over temptation by the power, the blood, and by the grace of Jesus. When demonic oppression and onslaught comes your way, call on Jesus. Come boldly before the throne of grace, tell the devil to get behind thee, and keep repeating it until the temptation passes. Whether breaking chains of addictions, bad habits, depression, or anything else in your life that does not bring glory to God, call on Jesus, the One who shed His blood to set you free. Dear beloved: An interesting question arises regarding spiritual warfare concerning the ability of Satan to come before God and ask for permission to attack the brethren. Of coarse, in the old testament we know that Satan did come before God in the book of Job. Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. v7 And the Lord said to Satan, "From where do you come?" Then Satan answered the Lord and said, " from roaming about on the earth and walking on it." v8 And the Lord said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, fearing God and turning away from evil." So we know from this scripture that Satan had access to God along with the other angels, the sons of God, a term used in the old testament to describe the angels. We also see that God is the one who brings up the idea of allowing Satan to attack Job, and in verse 12 God finishes the initial proposition when He says, v12 Then the Lord said to Satan, "Behold, all that he has is in your power, only do not put forth your hand on him." So Satan departed from the presence of the Lord. And again in 2:3 And the Lord said to Satan, " Have you considered my servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man fearing God and turning away from evil. And he still holds fast his integrity, although you incited Me against him, to ruin him without cause." So we see that God is incited against Job, but only so far as God has declared that He will go, not to the point of total destruction of Job, but only to severely afflict him.

Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that we will not be tempted beyond what we can bear, so rest assured that if you find yourself in the same situation as Job, that you will not be taken beyond your ability to bear it. v13 No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, that you may be able to endure it. And so as we go through our trials just as Job did, we meditate, we pray, we contemplate, our friends come to console or counsel or criticize us, and eventually we work our way through it and hopefully come to a point of praising the Lord. In Job 42:6 Job repents of his questioning and doubting attitude by saying, "Therefore I retract, and I repent in dust and ashes." Then in verse 9 it states that the Lord accepted (forgave) Job, and in verse 10 And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job when he prayed for his friends, and the Lord increased all that Job had twofold.

The whole story of Job brings out a cry from us, Alas Lord God, must we go through such trial and tribulation on this earth just to come to know you better? In some cases, the answer is yes, and not only that, but we are to take joy in our tribulations, as James tells us in James 1:2, Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, v3 knowing that testing of your faith produces endurance, v4 and let endurance have its perfect result, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. And so we are to not only endure trials, but actually take joy in them, knowing that they will make you perfect and complete! That's probably not the first thing on our prayer list, to ask the Lord for trials so we can be completed, and yet we know that trials are for our own good, to bring us into conformity with the image of Christ.

Paul sums it up in Phillipians 3:10, when he says "that I may know Him (Jesus), and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death; v11 in order that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead. Paul wrote this book of Phillipians from Rome while in prison or house arrest, and he was prepared to suffer and die for the sake of the gospel. He states in Phillipians 1:21 For me to live is Christ, to die is gain. v22 but if I am to live on in the flesh, this will mean fruitful labor for me; and I do not know which to choose. v23 but I am hard pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is much better.

Beloved, as you go into battle this day, do not resent the trials, tribulations, and temptations that God allows into your life, but look at them from God's point of view, that He is strengthening you for greater glory. When you can defeat your enemies and give God the praise no matter what you are going through, you know that you have then arrived at the fellowship of His sufferings. Praise the Lord for that! Kenya Mission Trip

Dear beloved: I will be going to Kenya in September, leaving the states about September 19th, and returning on Oct. 1. I will be teaming up with a mission group from Vancouver, Washington, and Doug McCary of Men at the Cross Ministry. The total number on the team will be about 20, including musicians, preachers, and other support people. We will be preaching a series of revival meetins in Nairobi and possibly other cities in Kenya. The meetings will be held all over the city of Nairobi, then at the end of the week there will be a pastor training and big evangelism push in a city park. The weekend event in the park will be a two day event, and include a breakfast and games for the children, pastor training, praise and worship, and preaching. Expected turnout for the weekend event could be anywhere from 25,000 up to 200,000. The whole evangelism and discipling thrust will be called Operation Two Fish, Five Loaves. Please pray for this mission: 1. for souls to come into the kingdom 2. for those new converts and for other Christians to be open to discipling 3. for safe travel and safety in the country of Kenya 4. for revelation from the Holy Spirit in regards to preaching and worship 5. for provision for the people involved as well as provision for the printing of discipleship materials to be distributed.

Dear beloved: The classic example of a person being demon possessed is in Mark chapter 5, where Jesus encounters the man who was living in the tombs, in the country of the Gerasenes. verse 5 And constantly night and day, among the tombs and in the mountains, he was crying out and gashing himself with stones. v6 And seeing Jesus from a distance, he ran up and bowed down before Him; v7 and crying out with a loud voice, he said, "What do I have to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God, do not torment me! v8 for He had been saying to him, "Come out of the man, you unclean spirit!" It is interesting to note here that the demon in the man Legion who was speaking to Jesus was begging Jesus not to torment him; the spirit knew without any introduction who Jesus was and that He had the power to cast him out and send him out of the man. The demon also swore by God in verse 7, as if he knew that that highest power he could call upon was the Most High God. We know that this is true because the demons all once resided in heaven with Jesus and God, and they were thrown down when Satan led the rebellion to take over the throne of God.

Then in verse 9, And He was asking him, "what is your name?" and he said to Him, "My name is Legion, for we are many." v10 And he began to entreat Him earnestly not to send them out of the country. v11 Now there was a big herd of swine feeding there on the mountain. v12 And the demons entreated Him saying, "Send us into the swine so that we may enter them." We know from the rest of the story that Jesus did send the spirits into the swine, and 2000 of them went rushing into the sea. Then verse 15 is the climax of the scene, as we see the man delivered and set free of his shackles and chains. v15 And they came to Jesus and observed the man who had been demon-possessed sitting down, clothed and in his right mind, the very man who had the legion; and they became frightened. V17 And they began to entreat Him to depart from their region. We can learn several points from these scriptures. First, demons do not like to be sent from their own region, or country, they are territorial (principalities); second, they will inhabit animals (swine are unclean to the Jews) if they have no other abode; and third, that the villagers of the city and country would rather maintain the status quo and have the man demon-possessed, than to see him set free and face the prospect of having their own demons dealt with, because they asked Jesus to leave the country. I have been asked in relation to this story, Did the demons drown with the swine? The answer is no, they did not drown, they just hang around that region until they can find some more people who are willing to take them in, which judging by the attitude of the villagers, it would not have been too hard to find some willing hosts.

I once had a deliverance session with a lady who had spirits of alcohol and drug addiction that she had been carrying for many years. After an hour or so of intense prayer, she came at me with cat like shrieks and claws outstretched to scratch my face and eyes out. She got right up in my face and was ready to claw me, but I just kept praying the blood of Jesus over her and kept my eyes fixed on hers, casting out all those demonic entities in the name of Jesus. Finally, she shrunk back and collapsed onto the floor without having laid a hand on me. I was relieved but not nearly as much as she; I have seen her often since that night and she is still free and doing well.

We know that the man from the Gerasenes went on to become an evangelist, walking into his divine destiny. Mark 5:20 And he went away and began to proclaim in Decapolis what great things Jesus had done for him; and everyone marveled. The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all unrighteousness, sets the captives free, and declares release to the prisoners. Start praying for your family, friends, and anyone else that God sends your way, and declare the demons to go in the name of Jesus, and bless them with a mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting, a planting of the Lord that He may be glorified.(Isaiah 61:3) May God bless you this day as you go forward in victory! in Christ, Jim

Dear beloved: Another example of demonic oppression and possession in the scriptures is that of Jesus disciple, Judas Iscariot. He was chosen by Jesus and walked with him as Jesus ministered here on the earth, so it wasn't for lack of a good teacher that Judas fell into sin and eventually betrayed Him. It just points out that when Satan begins to make small inroads into a person's life, that it can turn into full blown demonic possession with a very undesirable outcome.

Judas started out with the good intentions of all the disciples, but he had a problem with greed and that led him to his demise. John 12:3 Mary therefore took a pound of very costly perfume of pure nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume. v4 but Judas Iscariot, one of His disciples, who was intending to betray Him, said, v5" Why was this perfume not sold for three hundred denarii, and given to poor people?" v6 Now he said this, not because he was concerned about the poor, but because he was a thief, and he had the money box, he used to pilfer what was put into it. ... And so we see that Judas was the treasurer for the group, and so Satan attacked him where he was the most vulnerable, through his greed and desire for more money. This then led to Judas making a deal with the chief priests, Matthew 26:14 Then one of the twelve went to the chief priests; v15 and said, "What are you willing to give me to deliver Him up to you? And they weighed out to him thirty pieces of silver. v16 And from then on he began looking for a good opportunity to betray Him. Luke 22:3 tells us the point in time when Judas actually became demon possessed. v3 And Satan entered into Judas who was called Iscariot, belonging to the number of the twelve. And he went away and discussed with the chief priests and officers how he might betray Him to them. v5 And they were glad, and agreed to give money to him. v6 And he consented, and began seeking a good opportunity to betray Him to them apart from the multitude. And in verse 47 we find the deal completed and sealed with a kiss. v47 While He was still speaking, behold, a multitude came, and the one called Judas, one of the twelve, was proceeding them; and he approached Jesus to kiss Him. v48 But Jesus said to him, "Are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?"

Of coarse, Jesus knew beforehand all of this was going to happen, because he knew the old testament scriptures, where the betrayal of the Messiah was prophesied in Zechariah 11:12 And I said the them, "If it is good in your sight, give me my wages, but if not, never mind. So they weighed out thirty shekels of silver as my wages. v13 Then the Lord said to me, "Throw it to the potter, that magnificent price at which I was valued by them." So I took the thirty shekels of silver and threw them to the potter in the house of the Lord. The end result of Judas betrayal was that his guilt overcame him and he took the money back to the chief priests and threw it to them, but they would not take it because it was blood money and they knew the curses associated with it. And then Judas finished it all by hanging himself, Matthew 27:5 And he threw the pieces of silver into the sanctuary and departed; and he went away and hanged himself. v7 And they counseled together and with the money bought the Potter's field, as a burial place for strangers. v8 For this reason the field has been called the Field of Blood to this day.

And so we see the escalating nature of sin in Judas' life ended in the betrayal of Jesus and his own suicide. Many times we see this scenario acted out in America; a person trapped in sin ( anger, jealousy, greed, porn,) picks up a gun and shoots his loved ones and then shoots himself. The ultimate goal of Satan is our earthly and eternal destruction, but it all starts with agreement with him in small ways of sin. Beloved, do not agree with Satan in any way in your life, repent of any sin and renounce it and get free from that bondage, you will be glad you did! Dear beloved: Today we are going to look at some scriptural examples of demonic oppression and see how the Lord deals with the situations, and to give us a better feel of the way that Satan operates in harassing Christians. In 1 Corinthians 5:1 we see an example of one who is in the body of Christ, the local fellowship of the Corinth, and he is trapped in the sin of fornication. v1 It is commonly reported that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not named among the gentiles, that one should have his father's wife. v2 And you are puffed up, and have not mourned, that he that has done this deed might be taken away from you. So Paul names the sin, points out the sinner, and then declare the solution in verse 4 and 5. v4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are gathered together, and I with you in spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus, v5 I have decide to deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of his flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. Paul doesn't explicitly state if the man is already saved, but it is likely that he is since he is part of the fellowship and verse 5 states that the purpose of the destruction is to preserve his spirit. The greek word for destruction is olethros, to ruin, destroy, plague, pest. This destruction did not kill the man, but brought him to his knees and to a state of repentance. We know from reading 2 Corinthians 2:5-8, that the man was brought to his knees and did come back into the fold and right standing with God. v5 But if any has caused sorrow, he has caused sorrow not to me but in some degree-in order not to say to much-to all of you. v6 Sufficient for such a one is this punishment which was inflicted by the majority, v7 So that on the contrary you should rather forgive and comfort him, lest somehow such a one be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow, v8,wherefore I urge you to reaffirm your love for him.

So we can see from this that a Christian can carry great sin and demonic oppression and their spirit stiil be set aside for the Lord. The key is repentance, that is to turn away and renounce their agreement with the cords that attach them to the kingdom of darkness. God's will for all believers who are trapped in sin is restoration, and He will chastise those that need correction. Hebrews 12:5 and you have forgotten the exhortation that was addressed to you as sons, "My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, nor faint when you are reproved by Him; v6 For those whom the Lord loves He disciplines, and He scourges every son whom He receives. v7 It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline? v8 But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate children and not sons. v9 Furthermore, we had earthly fathers to discipline us, and we respected them; shall we not much rather be subject to the Father of spirits, and live? v10 For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them, but He disciplines us for our good, that we may share His holiness....So we see that God deals with our sin nature and demonic oppression, and for non believers, sometimes demonic possession, by disciplining our flesh until we repent and come into agreement with His will for our life. We then renounce and cut the cords to the demons that have been controlling our behavior, and move forward towards His holiness.

Do not be too harsh or quick to judge those around you according to what you see in their behavior, for repentance and restoration can come in a heartbeat, even on the deathbed. I had a young man stay with me for a couple of days this summer who had made a confession of faith in Jesus Christ as a teenager, then fell away into drug use and the party life when he went to college. At a drug party one night, God took him through the veil of death and took him down to the gates of hell to show him what was in store for him. The demons of hell were laughing diabolically and relishing his entry into hell; they were ripping and tearing at his flesh as he tried to pull away from them. He finally started to cry out to Jesus and Jesus came and pulled him out of the clutches of the evil ones; he was then taken back through the veil and dropped into his lifeless body at the drug party. Needless to say, he was quite shaken, and he got up and went home and started to read his bible. Prior to that night he did not believe that the Bible was the infallible word of God, in fact he mocked it at times; that all changed after his encounter with death and hell. And so you see God has many ways to deal with those trapped in sin and in bondage to the evil one. If you or your loved ones find yourself in that situation, just be faithful in praying for them and know that God will hear every word of your prayer and send ministering angels in response.

Warfare portals pt18

Dear beloved: We have spent the last couple of weeks talking about portals of entry that the demonic realm uses to gain access into the life of a person. This brings up an interesting question: Can a born again believer have demons, or even be demon possessed? It should be obvious from the recent discussions that a believer can be demon oppressed, or harassed by one or even a horde of demons. This is possible by the fact that our nature is of a three part being; we are spirit, soul, and body. Paul describes it in 1 Thessalonians 5:23, Now may the God of peace sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. And so he shows us that we are three parts, and that it is possible for the parts to be incomplete, that is, our spirit given over to Christ but our bodies and soul still having a mixture and living for the devil. Many of us can attest to this from experience as we were still smoking cigarettes, or drinking alcohol, or struggling with lust even after we had made a decision to give our lives to Jesus.

In Rick Joyner's book "The Final Quest", God gave Rick a vision of the demonic horde, Satan's army as it proceeded into battle. In it he states that the most shocking part of the vision was that the demonic horde was not riding on horses or walking, they were riding primarily on the backs of Christians! Many of the believers were host to more than one demon, but one of the demons would clearly be in charge. The nature of the one in charge dictated which division it was marching in. Even though the divisions were all marching together, it also seemed that the entire army was on the verge of chaos. For example, the demons of Hate hated the other demons as much as they did the Christians. The demons of Jealousy were all jealous of one another. The only way the leaders of the demonic horde kept the demons from fighting each other was to keep their hatred focused on the people they were riding.

Joyner goes on to write, I noted that the demons were riding on these Christians, but were not in them as was the case with non-Christians. It was obvious that these believers had only to stop agreeing with their demons in order to get free of them. For example, if the Christian on whom the demon of Jealousy was riding just started to question the jealousy, that demon would weaken very fast. Joyner continues, the power of the demons was clearly rooted almost entirely in the power of deception, they had deceived these Christians to the point where they could use them and the Christians would think they were being used by God. This was because the banners of Self-Righteousness were being carried along by everyone, so that those marching along could not even see the banners of their true nature of these divisions( Bitterness, Lust, Rejection, Pride, etc.)

And so we see that Satan has a diabolical plan to use Christians to attack each other and accomplish his purposes, to weaken individuals, then families, then churches, and eventually whole nations. Non Christians and unbelievers are easily kept in line by possession and by demons of fear, so it doesn't take too many of the horde to tie up and bind great masses of people, even whole cultures. Satan has a very simple strategy, divide and conquer. Jesus talked about it in Mark 3:23-27. v23 "and He called them to Himself and began speaking to them in parables, 'How can Satan cast out Satan?' v24 And if a kingdom is divided against itself, it cannot stand. v25 And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.v26 And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but he is finished! v27 But no one can enter the strong man's house and plunder his property unless he first binds the strong man, and then he will plunder his house.
